There are several variables. Culture is a strong one and so are things such as schools, parenting, individual personality, etc.
You dig beautiful women who happen to be dumbNothing wrong with that, but I have to ask though, does it matter to you at all what qualities a woman has besides her looks? Looks is important of course, but don't you think other qualities are important as well?
Beauty is such an important factor for me that other qualties are more like "nice to have" but not a requirement. Of course barring extreme cases for example a women being extremely slutty or being a hardcore western feminist. Also, I have seen a vast number of intelligent women in the US, especially in the Indian community. Women who are doctors and hold PhD's. None of them I would ever consider to date. I have come to realize that beauty is rare and intelligence is cheap.
Logging in here is the second thing I do after waking up (the first is applying minoxidil). Even before breakfast. I may need help.
A beautiful women will produce beautiful kids who will have an easy life. Intelligence is nice to have but beauty is VASTLY more preferable to me.
It is vastly less valuable than looks in today's society. I possess above average intelligence, but it only worked against me because of my below average looks.

True intelligence is rare, especially in females. Just because you're a doctor doesn't mean you're intelligent to me.

I wasn't necessarily talking about intelligence, more compatibility. Someone you can have a good laugh with, learn with and experience life with. It's always nice being able to carry a semi-intelligent conversation with someone, too. I just imagine a relationship not lasting if all that matters is looks, which will expire anyway. Do you see where I'm coming from? Of course if you're not looking for something long term compatibility isn't as important, if it matters at all. If you're looking for something long term however, there is more to it than looks, way more.
To me that's actually a must. Much more important than anything else. Worst nightmare would be to end up with a nagging wife who hates you and won't have sex with you, which is actually very common. I'd much prefer average looks but lots of sex and laughing and having interesting conversations all the time, you'd be constantly happy.

That is the most important thing to me as well. A relationship is supposed to be fun, ideally someone who is both your lover and best friend. Of course you need to be physically attracted to your partner, but it's also so important to be compatible.

In my experience, compatibility doesn't make a relationship last. The only thing that matters are attraction and attachment. Attraction is what starts a relationship and attachment keeps it going despite so many opportunities to cheat. My ex-wife and I were very different individuals. She was very liberal. On various issues she stood against my position but that didn't matter at all. We didn't spend our day talking about politics. Most of the time we were just doing things like traveling, eating out, watching movies, hanging out with friends. She and I lived in different cities as she was still going to college. I had some opportunities to cheat but I didn't because I was truly attached to her.
You mentioned that it's "nice" to be able to have semi intelligent conversation. But that's what I precisely said. Things like intelligence are nice to have. Also, most people do possess enough sense to have semi-intelligent conversation. However, truly beautiful women are hard to come by.

But what happens when her beauty fades? Which will happen sooner rather than later for most women, even if they keep in shape.

Talking about politics was not what I was talking about when I said compatibility was important... Compatibility to me means being on the same wave-length, wether it be talking about politics or Keeping Up With the Kardashians. I was talking about having fun together, wether you're at home in the couch or on an exclusive cruise. That, to me, is what makes a good relationship, in addition to attraction. It's just awkward if you have nothing to talk about outside of bed.
Then there are two scenarios. If your man is attached to you, he will stick with you while fapping to the hot women he works with. If he is not attached to you, he will dump you and find a good looking women if he can. The second scenario is usually unlikely because most men just can't easily find a hot women but as soon as they do, they bail . Happens all the time. You will be surprised how often loss of attraction leads to loss of love and eventually divorce. Relationships are like business transactions now a day. Your partners will stick with you as long as they think they are getting a good deal. There are exceptions of course.

These things are secondary to the looks and not much important. Also, you can usually find things that both of you enjoy. For example, my wife hated action movies and I enjoyed them. So I would go watch those movies either alone or with my friends. She did like some TV shows that I liked and we watched them together.
Attraction fades after a few months anyway. If the only thing you cared about in life was constant new beautiful sex partners and nothing else you would give up on relationships and just use prostitutes.
I would never stop being attracted to hot co workers either.
