How Different Types Of Estrogen Promote (and Hinder) Hair Growth

i ve tried a shitload of stuff but nothing gave me any sides actually.
not finasteride, not dutasteride, not enza.
estradiol is idd a possibility, but since estriol is weaker and is receptor-wise better for hair.
I figured estriol was a safe start.
I also have a gel with betamethason and vitamine D in it
But Im stil not sure if it is beneficial or not...
Vit D is good but not sure what to think of the corticosteroid

it is clear that these steroids do not block, either spontaneous or manipulated, hair growth induction, but they do block, the apparent next step, i.e., hair formation.

Bump. update on estriol?

I am using bi-estro (estriol/estradiol)

It's growing small vellus hairs in center but on my left side i feel like im losing ground... and i am.

Not sure what to think. I have added in progesterone a few days ago.

My life was quite hectic the past month.
Was out of estriol for for a small moment.
Also forgot to make my PGE2/VPA mix for some time.
Still used my minoxidil/VPA though.
Didnt dermaroll for a few months either.
So in the past 2 months, I alsmost lost all the vellus regrowth which I had gained in the past year or so.
Difficult to pinpoint what is causing this. Maybe just a sign that Im losing the battle, no matter what.
I have a big stash of estriol again, and remade my PGE2/VPA mix, so Im ready to get back on track.
Also dermarolled again + Clobetasol use for a few days to boost Sonic Hedgehog (not sure of clobetasol is good though).
Anyway, Im not expecting too much from estriol anymore. Will continue using it in combination with all the rest of the usual stack.
Will update in case something happens in the next months.

Do you buy pge2/vpa from that private forum?

I’ve tried some of these soy creams & even some famous prescription European product with estradiol in it.
Didn’t do damn thing for hair/skin.
If you read the users they are confused about whether it’s helping or not.
Time to try something else

You wouldn't likely get estrogenic sides from estriol, in fact, I noticed the opposite. It made me feel more androgenic, and that's not likely to be good for hair.

I guess because the strong estradiol is displaced from the estrogen receptor by the weaker estriol, the overall estrogenic activity on the body is in fact even reduced...

I am using bi-estro care still (estriol + estradiol) and yes, I can attest to this. Also using it alongside Progesterone this time.

I feel great using this stuff. I've even dosed on balls past 2 days. full pump on balls.

Wake up with massive erections, libido is up, feel great.

It does also seem to be working for hair though, in the sense that shedding is wayyyyy down, and new hairs are popping up in hairline.

I also apply on facial acne, and it destroys the acne within a day or two, and apply on front center hairline directly.

There was a study that showed estrogen is just as important for erections as testosterone is.

Women have their best hair when estriol + progesterone are sky high. Hence my regimen (which also includes estradiol).

Progesterone is the kind of estrogen you want..

Hope this help

Progesterone opposes estrogen though..

I've used progesterone only for a long time.

Progesterone will give acne, etc... Once I add in bi-estro (estriol+estradiol) it kills acne very rapidly.

I think it's probably important to use both, and try and mimic what women have.

Where did you source topical estradiol?
I saw this on amazon, but could be false advertising that legit estradiol can be bought on amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078FWJVR2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A35ALG3YA78R28&psc=1

I've used topical estriol from the same company without any results.

Used estriol twice daily for about 6 months, temples only.
Didn't notice any effect.
I recently added progesteron 1% gel and estradiol 0,06% gel.
prog twice daily, estriol once daily, estradiol once daily; temples only
I expect the estradiol to be about 0,5 mg daily.
It feels risky, I'm keeping a close eye on gyno development.
So far no sides. Still sexually active just like before.

Ok, so maybe I was a bit overexcited with the 0,5mg daily.
Im noticing very minimal gyno development.
Im gonna stop for a few weeks to see what happens.
In the best case, maybe I'll retry with like miminal quantities, but for now it seems estradiol is not the best match for me in combination with dutasteride...

You are going to get gyno from estradiol no matter what you do, if it's minimal and doesn't bother you much then you are good to go, im personally ok with minimum amounts of gyno to get my hair back, some might not be. It's up to you.

Not harmful, but less effective, definitely. Estriol is the weakest form of the three oestrogen's and has the lowest affinity for receptors. If you look at it from the perspective of side effects, its the best for men because it will have the least feminising effects. I think irrefutably however, 17b estradiol is the best option for male hair, which has time and time again been shown in studies.

Do you have any studies that directly compared 17b estradiol to estriol for male androgenic alopecia?

There was a study that showed estrogen is just as important for erections as testosterone is.

The studies I have seen are pretty clear on the sexual role of estrogen in men:

* Estrogen in the penis will cause erectile dysfunction. There is no real replacement for DHT as an erectile function stimulant, followed by testosterone.

* Estrogen in the brain will increase libido

So this is a Goldilocks problem, where you do not want too little, and you do not want too much. Too little and you will lose libido and interest in sex. Too much and you will get erectile dysfunction.
