You think it might have to do with the fact they don't belong to a traditional family with both a mother and father who are happily married? Divorce is at an astronomical high and it's very common for a single mom to raise the children by themselves. No father in the child's life.
The dissolution of the nuclear family is the source of many problems, no matter how the left might tout it as progress. It breaks down a well-functioning whole into individualistic parts, primed for fulfilling their role as perfect consumers.
There is a perfect balance of unhappiness that society tries to maintain in its citizens: no too happy that they consume less than the economy demands, not too unhappy that they start getting funny ideas, like supporting socialism or engaging in criminality. The last years society has failed in this, and all this extra misery is being harnassed into rage. BLM/trump, riots, increased spree shootings... All symptoms, expressions of the same unhappiness in different flavours.
As to your point, without two parents it's impossible to raise the best version of your child. People will vehemently debate this, but, how imperfect parents may be ( they're humans = flawed first and foremost), you need a balance of masculine and feminine energy
