I'm still a gregarious and charming guy, the picture face is just the state of mind I was in. That profile pic face is me saying "FU** you life, I won you son of a b**ch!" However, in real life, I have the same personality. People do take me seriously now.

One of the biggest differences I noticed is how people react to me. Used to, kids would see me in public and say "You're balding!" or "Why are you losing your hair?" (As a PE coach or working with Boys club)... or women would look at me and get that look of sympathy, like "Ah, he's cute. Too bad he's balding." or whatever.

Now, kids just assume I shave my head. They never say anything about it. I'd rather be called the bald guy with a beard than the 'balding' man. And women look at me and have that flirtatious look in their eyes, no 'sympathetic' or 'creepy' look. That's all I needed, acceptance.
Well said, mate. I hope you continue doing well with the ladies and single moms.
I bet there's some hot mamma's down there in Florida.

I wanna get to Gainesville one day and take in a Gators game.
I'd love to see them playing The U (university of Miami, for the uninitiated).

You often seem to have some sarcasm in your posts on matters like this (positive stuff). Not this post, but earlier ones, like the orange Florida sky post. Come on g, you know that pic is filtered to the max, looks like an oil painting.

Worth as a human is deduced by the rest of humanity, and the top-tier of humanity are tite teens who would think he was gross. Self-esteem isn't going to suck you off.

So what should he do? Just LDAR because he is bald or try to make the best of his situation and find his own way to be happy in life?

This kind of reminds me of short guy with the thread "to all you depressing bald sissies I laugh at you" thread. Kind of goofball stuff.

I would say if OP is straight, to drop the superman shirts, filtered pics n weird side looks, looks like your gay. Which is cool if that's what you're going for, more power, but if you're not, it might help with the chicky babes to change the overall style.

I get told that a lot.
Anyway, as I see it, photos at sunset can give off this orangey tone.
I never take selfies or upload anything on sites like snatchchat, instagram, tinder, grindr or any other social media platform except for this one.
And definitely none that I have taken myself.

So what Im saying is; Filtered photos is not something that immediately comes to mind when viewing someone else's uploaded snaps.

Also, Im exclusively on my phone these days so the detail (of photos) is obviously harder to spot.

The grainyness n hue are something out of a 2009 phone, which I'm sure he's not sporting these days. I don't take many pics either, but with getting pics from girls, or browsing dating sites, when it looks like the work of van gogh himself, I know she's hiding something, or things.

The truth is that is my Instagram pic, that's an iPhone 6 (I just upgraded to a Google Pixel 2 XL) and I used a "Mayfair" filter. So what?

I just came back from a run, you can see the sweat on my face and arms. I looked in the mirror and liked what I saw, I was proud of my progress. I didn't have to use a "Mayfair" filter, but I did.

I attached a photo of me 3 months into me running. I was at the beach and already lost about 20 lbs. I was about 255 here. I was getting the lower grade cuts and blending it in. I think I had a 2 on the side, 4 guard on the crown and a 6 on top. It grew out a bit here. I was getting tanned up and growing a beard for the first time.

NO FILTER.

I even wore a white 'v' neck shirt for Vin Diesel inspiration.

Thats a nice photo. Although, I have to warn you about using the "V" word around here.
Vin Deisel is usually persona non grata at the best of times

Why not? That movie is what inspired me. Even though he may not be liked, it was their confidence that inspired me.

Very good, but as g says, don't mention confidence or vin diesel, it's a taught trip wire around here.

One other thing, the vin diesel thing on a grown man is kind of lame, doing your own thing is always better. I can understand a jumping point though, but try not to crutch it.

No, but I used the tools I had to make the changes I needed to make.

I used "Rogaine" when I was 20. I remember trying it for about 8 months. I didn't see results. Saw ads for other things, but every time I read the reviews, people claimed it didn't work.

Researched 'Hair Transplant Surgery' after seeing an episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8" Where Jon got hair transplant surgery. I realized it didn't cure baldness in the back of your scalp, plus you have to get it over and over.

So I know where you are. Trust me, and I'm not going to lie... If God came down and said, "I will give you a full head of hair or you can keep your bald/beard look" I know I'd take the hair. However, there isn't a cure right now, and God isn't going to give me my hair back.

So I'm telling people to look in their tool belt, see what they have to use. Don't give up, don't stop trying.
