I saw this video on another hair loss site. Definitely sums up what goes thru my mind everyday. I think its just another way of explaining how a person thinks with BDD. In my case, it was always physique, legs, skin and later in life hair.
Great video, very accurate. For me, my life is one big missing tile, my ceiling has like 3 tiles at this point lol.

It's not on the same level as being overweight, or having a big nose, or wrinkles, or greying.

The closest would be severe acne but even that's temporary.

Once you're bald, it becomes your main feature. "Polar Bear? Oh yeah he's the bald guy!"

I agree, but wrinkles, especially on a woman has as big of an impact on your ability to attract mates (more really) than baldness. I wonder how I'll feel in 20 years (or less...), being bald and aging. Once a woman starts to look old, it's O-V-E-R. A bald man still has a chance at least, even if it's significantly lowered. Visibly aging women are invisible to men of ALL ages, sadly.

EL I know so many women who do actually look aged who re-marry in their 30s 40s and 50s to attractive, quality men.
It is almost shocking to me sometimes.

I think most men are not as obsessed with this as you think as they get older--keep in mind its a forum of mostly 20 year olds, some older male virgins and then a few men who are sexually active older but if you really ask them 'WHAT they want in a woman most of the time it's a woman closer to their age who looks good takes care of herself.
Because relationships it's usually (not always) good to have some life commonalities to reminisce over and discuss etc. There can be a generation gap or an age gaps that are too big...some don't care but this is not the majority.

This doesn't apply to bladness or manletism, because everyone can see that you're missing those tiles. It's not the same as wanting to be pregnant. This video is just pure horseshit.

Sums up my mindset pretty spot on as well, especially in regard to aesthetics and relations to women. How pathetic is it that for some of us our own minds and obsessive delusions are the biggest obstacle to peace?

What's new in this video, everyone know this funda, lol

It's just a brilliant marketing trick of that similar friendly consoling words by loved ones..we already heard thousands time before.
"What's a big deal in getting bald, everyone has issues, everyone suffers from some physical insecurities,so be a man and accept baldness.

This video is same to hindi/English saying: Old wine in new bottles.

He is saying what a person is feeling from inside heart perspective.
You misunderstood this part.
He is not saying what people see missing in you,
he is saying what you are missing while looking at other people.

I had tons of experience where many women wanting a baby but suffering from Endometriosis feeling bad and worried, feeling the same way he mentioned.

And perception changes immensely as one gets older. I recall at 18 talking with same age friends to our chemistry teacher and how she related she felt her life was spent at her age of 26. PhD in chemistry for two years and teaching us undergrads was quite an accomplishment. But we all agreed with her, poor old hag, it's over for her. I can see her in my mind now. What she was really, a sweet, attractive and brilliant young woman. I'd sacrifice my hair for a time machine.

You're just looking to see how common that "missing tile" is, you're measuring the impact of the issue to you, I don't think it's a syndrome at least in the way he implies. He's definitely not as good as Jordan Peterson.

That's true for both genders. Especially Sarah Jessica Parker. I don't know how HBO hides it, but their makeup artists are GENIUSES. Her skin is so bad it looks like it was made for an Aliens science fiction movie!

If only they could do that for my face, my body, and everything else. I would be a REAL knockout to ALL WOMEN!

At my age, the best advice I can give men my own age is this. Let numbers work for you. Ten percent of women are born gay. So every man in their late forties should dress up as a LESBIAN, and hide their gender identity. Not to mention, in some countries that could give us a distinct job advantage!

Its not makeup it's the lenses and the lighting.

This is unfortunately mostly true.

There are a ton of fullheads on the impact section - if they showed up to an impact meet up then they would probably get lynched by some of these guys
I often ponder a meet-up between regular impact hairlosstalk members.
We could have it in some neutral global location... like, ummm.. let's say, Hawaii??

The alcohol would be flowing, of course.
I would really love to meet @buckthorn, @Rudiger, @DoctorHouse, @sunchyme1, @WhitePolarBear, @hairblues, @Pasbrillantebrunette, @EvilLocks .. and you of course, @JohnsonDDG.

Oh!! And I can't forget the dude I really wanna meet the most..
@Dante92.
