Is my scalp thinning? Or just natural since hair is thinnish.

Isn't topical min fine though? From your best guess do you think I at least have a year before it gets bad.

minoxidil is for those who want to constantly have to rely on topicals and if they ever come off they lose hair gains. who wants that?

No one from the FB I come from would touch minoxidil and finasteride with a 10 foot pole.

And regarding you going bald? Both you and I don't know. Your hair density could stay the same for the next 10 years and then diffuse further.

How old are you?

I'm 19 man. I just booked with a trichologist... She offers natural supplements and things if the hair is in a state of being able to be repaired. If not she offers finasteride and min. But she told me natural is her first options, diet, supplement pills, massages, how would u think that sounds?

She checks if hair is dead with microscope and nutrient levels and blood etc.

She has more sense than your other dermatologist who didn't even look at your scalp.

Diet is the NUMBER 1 most important thing. I don't care what anyone else thinks on this forum where they assume diet doesn't make a difference. It makes a HUGE difference in hair growth.

Blood flow is a classic reason people lose hair. It makes more sense that blood restriction and scalp tension is the tightest around frontal hairline and temples, which is usually the first part of your hair to go.

You have kids who are 15 years old showing signs of balding which should never happen. Then you look at their diet and how prone they are to hairloss.

Yeah. Just hope in a few weeks It isn't too late to save it. Surely because I can't see her until a few weeks. I gotta hope for the best. I mean overall it feels thick, got decent amount left. Early stages I'd say.

i may be harsh but I'm trying to slap some sense into you. Yes you have diffused but I'm also saying you can make a full recovery.

diffuse thinning came 2nd was very depressed. it never recovered and stayed the same. You see the photo on far right that's where it became it's absolute worse state. The far right photo is a month after recession. notice how it diffused a little extra after.

Will hope the trichologist helps out. I hope since my hair is thick asf it still is in the reverse stage just like you said. And yeah your hair didn't look ultra bad glad it's better. I am depressed too lol.

that's what hair loss does. Strips you of your confidence. I didn't even know what hair loss was until I reached 20(Not joking either)

I always thought that people with no hair were always shaving it off or were sick temporary.

best of luck if you need my advice regarding topicals and diet hit me up in DMs. you can fix your hair faster than you know.

How can it be the light if my scalp is showing that much man? Sorry for the questions but I'm just os scared and have no money for transplant. Here is pic waking up.. But then here my hair is wet you can see scalp under direct light. Maybe it's because the hair is clumped together wet. View attachment 156828View attachment 156827
Hair always looks sh*t under bright light when it’s wet. Those pictures are pointless. Dry hair picture I see absolutely zero loss.

Hey Jeju, it's just when I part it it looks thin. And the picture I sent last night? Idk u said it looked diffused. Could be light but even with light is that normal

Hopefully hair stays in tact for 2 months so I have time to save for a trichologist

Thanks for caring.

I don't think vegan diets are inherently good or bad for hair.

On one hand, there's studies with phytoestrogens promoting increased T and masculinity in males. So I can see a diet high in soy being problematic. But then again, lots of plant foods contain equol which can bind to DHT and help hair.

Vegan diets are generally more alkaline and can reduce inflammation. Question is, is it significant enough to help hair? Again, probably depends.

Low fat diets, particularly very low fat diets might be good for hair (80/10/10, McDougall, Esselstyn, etc). The less fat the less that hormones can be produced. If you have female hormones, this might be bad. But if you're an androgen machine then it probably helps. Then again, you might feel crappy as a male if you reduce your T levels, so there's also that.

All in all I don't think it's going to make much of a difference as this is a means of addressing the issue in a very indirect manner with multiple stages of metabolism to go through before affecting the scalp. Very low fat is probably the safest of these for hair but who wants to have to constantly eat just to maintain energy levels that are lower anyways? I ate that kind of a diet before I even noticed hair loss, but I was also exhausted. But hey if hair is the only thing you care about then it might be worth it.
