I hope for good news from Fidia. Imagine if their lotion could replace minoxidil, with better quality hairs regrown, fewer sides and only once daily application intead of twice daily. Dr. Brotzu even said that after a few years you could go down to twice weekly maintenance doses.

This could bridge us until heavyweights like Tsuji cloning or Follica with fgf9 (still many years away since Follica only ran trials with minoxidil).

Follica planned to use their wounding in combination with minoxidil; I wonder if a future Follica + Brotzu lotion could work even better.

I'd say the future looks bright and we are tantalizingly close to better treatments. Still the waiting is difficult.

Dear Mr. *******

Fidia just began a clinical trial, with a defined protocol, focusing on a specific formulation suitable for industrial scaling-up.

Regretfully, we are not able to figure out in advance the formulation's effectiveness and tolerability, that shall be demonstrated during the trial, with statistical significance and clinical relevance.
The trial panel has already been defined and we cannot further improve the number of patients included.

Neither exact launch plans nor time-to-market priorities have been defined for the product yet.

We will keep you abreast of the company's future steps in this concern.

Please, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions on the subject.

Cordially yours.

Thanks for posting this and contacting them.

That confirms it, as we discussed earlier about there is no confirmed time frame for when this product will be released.
It could be 6 months, it could be 3 years, it could be never.
Personally I could maybe wait 6 months but I can't wait 3 years, my hair will be gone.
My hopes are now very much on that someone else makes the lotion so we can test it ourselves to see if it works and then use it until hopefully Fidia releases it officially.

Stop overinterpreting a legal form letter.

They're just trying to limit liability by not making false promises.

It won't be 3 years, as they're not making a 3-years trial. 3-year trials are extremely, extremely rare in the hair loss industry prior to product release.

Agreed these are all "cookie cutter" responses that everyone is reading into way too much.

I started taking equol orally as well as topically. To dissolve equol i mixed it with isopropyl myristate and then mixed it with wax and a few other oils. It is certainly very easy to dissolve even in pill format; just open up the pills and mix the powder with IM

Do you notice any difference in your libido?

Didnt people already say that equol taken orally is probably not even used/absorbed anyway? Whether it works or not orally wont mean much if its only useful when applied topically.
IMO the evidence equol stops DHT is still very lackluster. I guess if you applied it topically you might not see a big drop in systemic DHT even if it worked so its probably hard to prove it does anything. I would think DHT levels would drop slightly if you did a hormone test afterwards so that might be some proof it does anything

It turns out that there are contradictory results on that question.

Are you using equelle? What about the fillers?

With respect to the contradictions between Brotzu's claims and Fidia's response, I personally deal with this in my business daily. It's better not to make any claims unless you have the science to back it up. At this stage, Brotzu (likely) knows his formula works based on his own experimentation, however Fidia needs to go through the motions to have the lab documented facts to back up their product.

It's better to be conservative and a proper plan to roll everything out, than to have these bold claims and unrealistic schedules and not be able to deliver on some things. When all that is in place, then a better outcome than their estimates will leave everyone satisfied, as opposed to the other way around.

Realistically, to roll this out worldwide on a massive scale, im sure, is no easy feat, and Im sure Fidia is facing these challenges right now. Personally I would think we wont see this before the end of 2017, early 2018, but that's just my guess. Needless to say 1.5 years of waiting is nothing when you think about all that has to go into deploying a product like this. Heck, I remember seeing the teaser for star wars in 2014 before it came out, thinking it was too long to wait. Now it's 7-8 months since it's been released. It'll be here before we know it.

I certainly hope this is the real deal, because my expectations are definitely up there. I am also pumped about this JAK inhibitor.
