it is not costly at all to make such a lotion; i have just recently made a batch with the main ingredient (Equol) as well as Borage oil and Carnitine and the cost was minimal for the amount i was able to make. I've been using it for only a couple of days and also taking Equol orally but no results to report yet given short time frame. Anyone with half a brain can mix such a lotion up. Just look up how to make lotions on youtube and invest in some Equol, Carnitine, Borage Oil, Isopropyl Myristate and wax/coconut oil/essential oils (optional). All you need is a few bowls, a blender, some container(s) and a clean workspace.

In my opinion PGE1 is the main ingredient responsible for the lotion effect

@I.D WALKER
I am usually more methodical when i mix my lotions/creams, but in this case i was a bit looser in the formula since i could not find any downsides of using too much Equol (i guess i'll find out). Anyways, i used 50 pills - each pill is 6mg so that means 300mg total added to the mix. The total batch is about 400ml / 13.5 oz which i divided into two containers. That means i should roughly have 0.75mg Equol / ml. Each application is about ~5ml (~1 teaspoon), which would mean for each application there should be at least ~ 3.75mg Equol.
I apply it once every night - the hair becomes instantly slick because of the oils i used in the mix but the Isopropyl Myristate reduces the oiliness and the wax stiffens it up so it is comfortable to wear. I haven't perfected the mix enough to be able to wear it outside as a real hair gel since i think it is still too liquid but honestly that would be super easy to do by simply adding a bit more wax when i mix this up. If i did that, i could easily have a full on hair gel that would be indistinguishable from other commercial products and actually smells pretty unbelievable (i added some essential oils to it).
It doesn't feel like a nuisance to apply and it is easy so i'll keep applying it unless it all of a sudden makes all my hair fall out (fingers crossed).
Side note - i also take 1 pill of Equol every morning so that is 6mg oral and ~3.75 topical.
I hope you're not using Equol from Natures Sunshine Equolibrium.

@macaronaroni are you removing the filler from the equol capsules? The capsules probably have 200ish mg total powder in them, but only 6 mg of this is equol. Others can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you'd want all that in your cream

Isn't the filler inert? I mix up something called zix. I've been using it for 12 years or something and it requires me crushing up b6 tabs. I'm sure they're filled with "filler", meanwhile I'd say it's basically stopped me from going bald, so I wouldn't say the filler would have any negative effect.

Are you using Zix Super ? I heard that was quite a hit few years before? Is it working for you? Care to share your experience with Zix? And where do u buy it from?

The guy from Italy startet a gb for the original Brotzu Lotion. 80€ for 100ml and I'm part of it. What do you guys think, should I pay the 80 bucks and give it a shot?

Where is this group buy going on? I'd pay 80 bucks for a 3 month supply and give it a shot but I'd imagine it would take more time to see results like it does with most hair loss products right?

I emailed the adress stated in the URL above. He replied and said i am welcome in the groupbuy. For a lot more. He wants the money transfered via Paypal, however he is already at is limit of €2500 (because he is a private person) and its not possible to receive money the next 24-48 hours.

Do you guys think this is trusworthy?

I was thinking of joining but the guy didn't give enough details for my liking. Will see how it pans out for the guys who bought some.
