its sounds like rumors. its kind hard to believe that he got any acces to people from the trial, saw pictures of them showing stop of sheding and regrowth and he just barley mentioning it, like it was just any news...

i dont know, everything about that italian dude sound fhisy to me.

hope its the truth.

by the way, does anybody knows when did the clinical trials started? because i read some places february and on other places may.

that's strange indeed. The more detailed description of results (if they are positive) would let him earn even more money from selling his own version of "Brotzu's Lotion".

He lists his email address on the blog and he speaks english so you could ask him more about results

aye, I have. But now afraid to take it orally - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20505018. Need to figure out how to turn it into liquid form.

You can crush it and use ethanol although the majority of it does not dissolve, it may be the the binder but I'm not 100% sure. If you cut the tablet in half you can see white dots in it, I'm assuming that is the S-equol. I managed to fully dissolve a tablet using water and isopropyl myristate today.

S-Equol

Solubility: Soluble in DMSO at 200 mg/mL;
soluble in ethanol at 200 mg/mL;
very poorly soluble in water; maximum solubility in plain water is estimated to be about 20-50 µM;
buffers, serum, or other additives may increase or decrease the aqueous solubility.

Im thinking about trying this out too. Ive contacted a guy by the name of emanuele. He said he can get me in the GB for 80 euro plus 40 shipping.
Thing is he said hes not the seller, but he gave me his email address for payment. Does that sound fishy?

Guys i'm sorry to say but i have to stop using the topical cream because the shedding is too much and i don't have enough hair to spare. The shed happens consistently, with application and removal (via washing) and it is about 50-100 hairs each way (yes, i counted them). I don't doubt it is caused by my own formulation and not necessarily the Equol, but i figured i'd let you all know in case you were looking for an update. I may continue to apply it in slick bald areas, i just can't jeopardize the areas where i still have coverage.

The shedding is likely a positive sign ...

I am slightly worried and as long I remember, Fidia had to change main ingredients in Brotzu's lotion in order avoid extensive clinical trials. :(
We really need to know the original recipe as Fidia's cheap knock off may not be as effective.

I don't think Fidia changed the ingredients in the lotion, Brotzu mentioned in one of his interviews he replaced one of the active ingredients (I can't recall which one) so it would be a cosmetic. He also claimed it didn't affect efficacy either

That change to DGLA was before we ever heard about this drug.

Someone needs to start an FAQ website in English stating all the facts we know so far about this product, and then updated when anything new happens, as a lot of people don't seem to be up to date or have the facts wrong about what's happened.
I know this is mainly because this thread is 50 pages long and if someone is new to this it's unlikely they would read back through the entire thread, so that's why I think an FAQ and summary website/blog would be great.

I won't be able to do this myself. It was an idea for someone else who has the skills and experience to put a website together.

All I want to know is when does it come out? Does it work? and how much does it cost/where to buy? Thats it really and some info once a while on progress to know its still alive.
With the amount of these things to come and go its very hard to believe this is going to get finished and turn out to be more then a snake oil. Fact is most of these type of cosmetic things turn out to be snake oils regardless of names or reputations of those involved. No one cares they just want to make a lot of money before it fizzles out

Why is this thread so popular? I dont mean to be a naysayer but this sounds the least promising of all the potential new treatments. Just the fact that it is being advertised as being able to reverse 5 years of balding should be a major red flag. Hair loss progresses at different rates for everyone and in different patterns. A slick bald Norwood 7 who loses his hair in 3 years and takes this lotion is unlikely to see better results than a Norwood 3 who has been thinning for 7 years but still has active follicles all over his head. The fact that they are advertising the 5 years despite that not being the way hair loss works makes me think they are just out to make a quick buck. I know this guy is supposed to be a respected doctor but take it from me as somebody who is starting medical school soon and knows a bunch of doctors(as well as other healthcare professionals) doctors are just people like you and me and they are subject to the same flaws. It seems like this guy is at the end of his career and maybe he wants a big payday. Id love to be wrong but I havent seen convincing data or good before/after photos of males with male pattern baldness. The ingredients of the lotion do make some sense in being able to help with male pattern baldness but everything else about this is setting off my bs detector.

I think ppl are more excited because of how quick it could potentially come to market.

If he is an adequate man he wouldn't make false claims and inspire confidence in balding people, knowing that his reputation is going to be ruined. I think he realises that.

The lotion isn't really being advertised as being able to reverse 5 years of balding, that's just something brotzu said in an interview. I think maybe it was a way of putting it into qualitative terms, I personally don't think it could work that good (although I really wish it could) reversing 5 years for me means a full head of hair.

He also never claimed it could revive dead follicles and stated it works best for younger guys (under 30) which makes me think this stuff is for real. To me the claims he makes besides the whole 5 years thing seem believable
