Just be confident!

Confidence is ambiguous, therefore not so simple to define and maybe put our finger on.
We think we know what it looks like, but the truth is confidence in it's original/natural state is shapeless. We think we see it, but it is mostly an impression of a firsthand encounter or maybe residual evidence left. This tasks may require advanced on the site training in investigative forensics :book:

Ironically confidence can be a touchy subject to discuss as I hear even myself sound terminally cynical struggling to explain it in more practical terms.
Appearances that meet our idea construct base or preset belief system(s) often fail the "confidence litmus exam" when more closely scrutinized and start to look more like pantomime = like a performance of "art imitating life".

When it comes to the part of figuring out the mysteries of the human spirit our curiosity often stirs up more questions to understand than we intended and soon the subject data accumulating in the basket marked "Items that only seem like confidence" has overgrown. Ask folks at random to define confidence and we get an overwhelming response or potentially clearer description of what she doesn't look like. :sun:

Confidence is simple to define actually imo.

It is the ability to replicate the results of a previous success. Be it hitting an open jumpshot in basketball or approaching a female. If you've done it before (to success), you'll have the confidence (or knowledge that you can) do it again. The other way to have confidence is to not have any failure due to not having made any attempts to begin with (in this situation you're oblivious to the failure that COULD happen since you've never tried).

So when Danny Boy says he's confident he can do something, I believe him.

Baldness is disgusting and ugly, let alone the pattern itself with how we bald and dealing with it every single day. No wonder why it destroys so many positive outlooks in life.

Check out the prince William thread. There is no way you can mean he looks better or even as good balding as he was before his hair went south.

I admit he dont look fantastic but i dont think ew or whatever when i look at him, which is still my point.

Confidence is not exactly a condition that can be generalized eg; I may have zero confidence in my hair, but maybe I have good features.
So while I may feel lucky by the latter, I am sore by the hair to which I'm lacking.

Regretfully I've never been able to will or even pretend myself into a desirous state of confidence,
At the same token I have never been able to impose it on someone else.

Conclusion: Confidence can neither be faked or forced. Like hair...you either got it or you don't.
Safeguard it with your life

All I can say to the rare bird who is well (confident) with her/his hair loss,
May your disposition prevail and may it transcend you beyond the myth that precedes you.
