Oh, God.. People like you frustrate me like crazy, but I'm going to respond anyway..

First of all, the insults in my statement were put there in the hopes of "shocking" people into taking action. It was meant to be aggressive, it was meant to shock, and I knew there would be at least a few people who would be offended.. I won't apologise for this.

Second, read what I wrote about sides again.. I said that I wasn't sure about them. All I know is that my dick works, your European women love it, and life is great!

Third, I didn't write "everyone who gets gyno is fat". However, I do stand by my belief that "fatties" should go on diets and exercise more.. I'm not going to defend this statement, but I'm sorry to hear that you're in the 2% who suffer from these sides..

Fourth, does my use of the term "batting off" offend you? Aaaah I love Europe, all the guys here hate me for talking in "straight terms".. Well, the guys might hate me, but your women certainly don't! I think they enjoy a bit of Aussie excitement once in a while ;-)

OK, I think that's it. Oh wait! You said it's not normal to have to quit batting off for 2 weeks to feel horny. No sh*t! I was just saying that if you want to "test" your sides or whatever, give it a go.

Anyway, cheers for the response ;-)

How old were you, when you started your treatment?

Oops, forgot to answer this one.. I started at exactly 19 and 9 months.

EDIT: HOLY sh*t! I was actually 20 and 9 months! SORRY!

Just a question for you, from where do you get your fincar??

Keep it going, sounds like you're making progress. I get my Fincar from United Pharmacies and have never had one problem.

This story gives me hope and i'm not at all offended by the statements or derisive comments to us Europeans, We suck! with our pennyfarthings and obessions with non-metric measurements

"I'll have a pint of bread please squire".

Currently i'm at 7 months (Just Propecia) and my hair is sh*t, its the worse it has been there is no doubt about it, seems to have got really thin and this is really noticable in the temples and the top (this is worse than baseline). However i do have lots of little hairs poking through anew, can't really tell on the top but on the temples i can see them they are just not doing anything :( . i'm shedding like constantly everytime i think it is ended it comes back a week later and i'd say im easily into a month and a half of this if not more.

Heres hoping i can have the same thing happen as you cause i desperately need some thickening up. Any advice welcomed. Thanks

That sounds a lot like what I had. I didn't know what was going on until about 10 months in when I finally realised all was going well! Hang in there!

Nah, Europeans don't suck, otherwise I wouldn't live here. I'm extremely grateful to be allowed to live here, honestly. I just offend people here ALL THE TIME, particularly guys it seems.. Oh, wait, I forgot to say "in general" to be politically correct!

I honestly can't see things getting any better, but then it's pretty hard to tell. I'll let you know in 6 months or so.

I'm not sure about regrowing, my photos aren't THAT good. It definitely thickened up in the front and frontal regions. I'll find some more before and after photos to try to show you..

I'm in the same boat as you. This thread might have saved me from going f*****g insane. I just reached 9 months with finasteride and the shedding has destroyed what was once fairly good hair. I do see however really little hairs in some areas where there weren't any before. Just when I think the shedding has stopped it starts again and worse than before.

It's nice to hear that people started to see results around the 12 month mark. It definitely gives me hope. With the way hair cycles I didn't think I would get results at 3-5 months but I was hoping for something at 6 (boy was I wrong). I think I was being too optimistic, my new goal is 12 months.

Thanks for the post Brent.

Good job, always nice to see someone, who actually can prove he got success with hairloss treatment :bravo:

One question - do you know if taking 0.2mg Fincar daily is the same as taking 1mg Finpecia daily? I would really love to know that from people, who haev more experience with hairloss treatment than me, as I strive to cut my costs as further as I can!

Keep up the good regrowth and post more pictures! :hairy: :hairy: :hairy: :hairy:

Thanks a lot for the congrats :jump:

The general consensus seems to be that any difference between 0.2mg up to 5mg is pretty negligible. Have a look through the forum and you can find graphs and discussions about this. I must admit that I personally prefer to take my 1.25mg on an empty stomach in the hopes of getting better absorption. Not sure if it really makes a difference, but I also heard that Grapefruit juice is scientifically proven to inhibit some of the stomach acids that might hinder the absorption of Finasteride. You'll have to search the forum for that one..

Thanks, but I believe you didn't get my point. I want to know if taking the same amount of finasteride via Fincar (0.2 mg Fincar) and via Finpecia (1mg Finpecia) leads to roughly the same results?

About your point - I agree, I have also read lots of topics and seen many graphs. I believe the reason is that finasteride accumulates in blood over time and is not completely absorbed by the body, so basically it doesn't matter whether you take 0.25mg finasteride daily or 0.5mg every 2nd day - the absorbed finasteride by the body is the same. In fact, that is why I take 0.5mg every 2nd day - to save myself the bother of cutting the Finpecia pill into quarters and take them every day.

Nah, I got the point. My response was that "the general consensus seems to be that any difference between 0.2mg up to 5mg is pretty negligible". Still, I'm no real scientific expert, so all I can say is that taking 1.25mg/day has provided great results for me. That's all I can vouch for.

If you truly want my advice, cut a 5mg pill into quarters and take 1.25mg every day like I've been doing. There are no studies into the results of 0.5mg every second day. I suppose it's theoretically possible that it will work, but if it doesn't.. :sobbing:

Nah mate, they just love your sexy Aussie accent. Hell, even I'd f*** you with that accent.

Nice results, and I like your style (both hair and communication!). Don't think all us men in Europe are prudish or what not.

I'm glad you noticed that I was just trying to wind people up with that stupid comment!

To be honest, the accent only works until a certain point. European girls seem to be a bit more inquisitive into things, and seem to be impressed by me sitting there waffling on about history and politics. Aussie girls are just a bit more dumbed down and trashy in my limited experience.

Of course not all the guys in Europe are prudes, and I reckon most of the guys in the UK can drink me under the table. That said, Germany and Switzerland are different stories..

PS: I appreciate the light flirting too :hump:

nice to see youve been getting great results from finasteride alone!

im balding the same way as you, but ive caught it a bit earlier than you, its kinda noticeable, my temples havent receded much but i barely have any bangs.

if you can regrow hair from the front with finasteride alone, hopefully i can stop losing hair and regrow some on propeica, minoxidil, and nizoral. (have been on Propecia and min for a month now).

thanks for posting your success because after looking at these other success threads i was expecting to see results in 4-6 months and not 12-18.

happy screwing polish girls. ;)

hey nice results mate, congrats

I have a similar recessed hairline and am on finasteride, could you tell me if you noticed any tingling sensation in the receding area? I do and I think it is my hair follicle dying, my recession is continuing

I can't really remember if it tingled in the front, but it was definitely tingly all over the top of my scalp for a long while. It even gets tingly sometimes now, and if I touch the top of my head there is an extremely mild burning feeling.

I'm pretty sure it's because of the inflammation that seems to come with male pattern baldness. Use Nizoral to help it. I've been off it for quite a few months now, but I'll go back on because I THINK my scalp is getting sore and shiny again under the hair! Hopefully it's not the beginning of the end!
