I think you should go see a dermatologist first. Have you been evaluated? Also it couldn't hurt to jump on for prevention, you could possibly get some regrowth too which would be a bonus... Atleast you'll get peace of mind, knowing your doing something. It's definitely took ALOT of stress off my back since.
Yeah I've been planning on seeing one for sure. My only thought is do they just say everyone has hair loss because they want you as a patient to treat? But yeah... planning on going soon with my friend, never been evaluated. I asked my barber who I have gone to for like every haircut ive ever gotten since im 4 and he thought I was crazy when I asked him. But definitely want to see what a dermatologist has to say

Thanks man, hope to keep it that way. Atleast till I'm 50+..... Hope my son has the same fate as well. This is me and him a few months ago....he has good hair too.....also, your hair is definitely thick and looks really good, suits you well, just get an opinion and for peace of mind maybe be proactive and jump on finasteride.

Absolutely, he looks like a young Elvis!! Thanks man, I always have had great hair, that's why when I started seeing the corners move up a little I was freaking out, but I have always had the widow's peak/uneven hairline as you can see from the pic with my dad, my juvenile was never straight across like yours. This is me as a little kid and you can see even there what my juvenile looked like, used to have lower corners but always kind of a bumpy hairline

This is a screenshot of my grandfather's (mother's father's) hair when he was 80, idk if this helps at all. Him and I have very different hair however, mine is more similar to my dad's in texture and shape. Your hair looks very great btw, iron hairline. Before you started taking finasteride did you have any noticeable hairloss? If not it doesn't look like you needed it
It's impossible to know. You can mantain and have the same hairline as your father, or just recede like your grandfather.

I look like a carbon copy of my father, have the same hairtype and texture as him. He had a juvenile hairline in his late 60s. My mother's father was a NW7. And I'm here.

You think I currently have the same hairline as my father? His is definitely further back than mine, just straight bc he doesn't have a widow's peak. As you can see from the above photo where I am like 11 I have always had the peak, my corners have just gone back. My juvenile hairline was pretty concave and I definitely had a smaller head back then. Keep in mind also my grandfather is 80 in that screenshot. Just food for thought. Appreciate all your advice and would love to hear your thoughts.

Yes his rigt corner seems a little more receded and he doesn't have temple peaks, apparently. Some people lose their widows peak (my case). Maybe your hair will just recede until reach the same final pattern as him

Possibly, although I don't believe he ever had the widow's peak to begin with. When I look at young pics of him it always looks straight. But good to know, I don't really consider his hairline to be bad at all for 58, his hair is still very thick and full and his crown has like zero balding of any kind

The weird thing on mine is my right side was always higher than my left, even as a child, and now I am more worried about the left than the right, it seems to have matured there.

Making an appointment to see a dermatologist for a consultation. I wonder if she'll suggest finasteride or PRP, or say I'm crazy and not balding like my barber did. I waffle back and forth between denial and freaking out. Sheesh.

Go see a dermatologist, that should've been your first step way back when you came in here.

Got myself an appointment for the 18th. Hoping for the best, I wonder what they will say. With these tests, do they look at your scalp and see things that the naked eye cannot? Or do they just diagnose what is visible? They said something about a camera test and consultation

Yeah seems you'll get a good examination. They look at hair follicles and can tell if it's thinning. Most likely give you an answer and a solution. If you have male pattern baldness, then just ask for finasteride. Don't let them bs into scalp massages or laser therapy or prp treatments. That's all a money grab. Finasteride should be enough to maintain and maybe regrow if you have male pattern baldness. Goodluck

Can finasteride regrow hair on temples?

Is PRP not legit? I have heard great things about it from a few people
