It was either the USA or Canada.

I know of a case in which someone I knew was accused of rape. Turned out it was false and the women retracted her accusation two days later. Even cops knew the women was making up the whole thing while arresting the guy.

I know of one other case in which a man was accused of touching some women against her will. That was a false allegation as well. The man was an employee of a large grocery store chain and the women also sued the company for a lot of money.

The only two cases that I know in real life in which a man was formally accused of rape/sexual battery both turned out to be false.

The same situation would happen if you posted female versions of equal looks.

True, but girls deem a far higher percent of guys in this "ugly" category than guys do to girls.

If you disclude overweight girls, whom have a solvable problem, then we're talking about a tiny percent.

There's probably more cases of false accusations of rape than there is actual rapes. I don't have the numbers of course but truth is some women find it way too easy to accuse a poor man of something he didn't do for their own gain... It's fucked up on many levels, also because the women who are actually raped may find it harder being believed in some cases.

theres a lot of far out stories on reddit. thats not even that extreme of one. it is a place based after upvotes and shares so it makes sense that the most controversial ones are seen.

and people are online a lot nowadays. you are older no offense so you might think lots of stuff on the web is false but its not. gone are the days of only fat basement dwellers using forums and chat rooms .

I'm not offended you think it's my age but i actually think its funny thats where you go.

EVEN if its true or not true you have NO way to know and its taken at face value.

Reading strangers stories and experiences is not a new concept. Not by far.

Its been going on for many many, many years before either of us was born but in publications.

The thing that is different with these stores is there is absolutely no vetting, no editing, no names...YOu have NO way to know if its true or untrue. You have no way to know who it is or is not telling each story.

You live in the age of 'cat fish' with dating online...why would you assume these reddit posts are any different? even more so since none of them are looking to meet just have reactions.

This is not true in USA

We do have a lot of rape here.

EVERY woman i know who said she was raped never said anything to authorities or the men.

A friend of mine raped recently actually went to her relative who is a cop and told him what happened next morning before even showering to figure out if she should do anything or not.

he told her not to go forward because rape is SO hard to prove the burden of proof is on women and they really do shame women who were raped to go through with testifying.

a COP told her this and he believed her 100%..I also know this woman for 30 years shes not a liar and a huge part she did not say anything is that her parents and her kids she did not want them to go through that.

I know of 5 off top of my head who say were raped..one was VIOLENT she was beaten had to go to hospital but she was on vacation on spring break in Mexico and they did nothing so she just came home,
one was drugged with a date rape drug,
one was we were teenager she was a virgin and she was date raped never said anything but felt very fucked up from it,
my mothers best friend also a virgin was date raped when she was a teen and did not call it date rape she just accepted it as something that happened,
I have one college friend who is suspect strongly had indeed made it up.

so of 5 women i know of off top of head only one do i doubt.

NONE of those 5 made any legal or prosecutorial statement or even said anything to the guys.

the one in college I suspect i think it had more to do with her not wanting me to be friends with the guy when they broke up (long sick story that had very little to do with the guy and more this twisted friendship)

but no one knew of the what she accused him of just me and i think one other person.

The false stat is 1 in 4 women are 'sexually assaulted' by men on campuses
the real stat is 1 in 53....still pretty f*****g high but not 1 in 4...thats of sexual assault i dont know how many of those are 'rape' with penetration.

thats what you take away from the whole post the one line you don't like.

we do have a lot of rape here i just told you 5 i know of off top of head, 4 I believe and 1 I dont none of which reported.

and when i say rape i mean penis inserted in vagina against a woman's will. NOT groping. kissing etc.

I'm not sure what to make of that. How can the problem be solved when it's not even known. They are doing an injustice to future rape victims by not coming forward. It's actually shameful of them not to come forward. Not saying I can put myself in their shoes in any way. But if they don't come forward you can't expect change.

This is not true elswhere either... This forum looks like a parody sometimes.
Some brains have been seriously damaged by hair loss I am afraid!
The point is it's way too easy for a woman to accuse a man she's had consentual sex with that he is a rapist. Women have the power to destroy a man's life, even if they don't report it to the police just spreading a rumor about it can ruin a man's reputation and make his life hell... I don't have the numbers like I said (probably shouldn't have made that statement because I don't know), but those women who do spread lies are an injustice to not only the man she's accusing and men like him, but every real rape victim too.

I don't know if you are joking or not...

I'm just trying to understand the mindset here. If someone raped me I'd want to do everything I could to punish that person and ensure they can't ever do it again.

Please.

Seems legit.

One girl I dated (out of 87 first dates) told me that she was raped.

Her story was fishy and she kept changing it, and also couldn't explain the plot holes.

"Yeah we went to the police and they didn't arrest the guy, because they didn't want to."

Yeah right. It was all BS, like her abortion story. She supposedly went to the hospital in public transport by herself.

One time, were were in the metro and I ask her how to go to that hospital (there's only one way possible) and she lashed out, because she didn't know.

Take everything you hear about rape with a pinch of salt.

The girl in question loved to play the victim.

i do take it with a pinch of salt.

Rape is very hard to prove in USA in a court of law.

Rape is not a lot of things people say--so it;s muddying the waters unfortunately.

I honestly dont know if i would go to police if i was raped. It would depend if i was violently hurt or not because it's a process. You have to be really strong person to put yourself through that process.

when something bad happens to you its awful...when you have to prove someone did the bad thing to you the caused injury its like reliving that awful thing over and over and over...

.i was injured in a car accident and i sued the person because he was negligent (he told me at acciendet he was changing his CD player, he rammed me from behind full speed when i was stopped at a traffic light) and i had to go through several years of dealing with lawyers and medical exams..

it was like so f*****g annoying and you feel defensive when they grill you meanwhile i has an open/shut case and eventually they did settle but it was soooooo f*****g annoying to go through...I cant even imagine with rape or something like this.

I left one girl out because i dont even think she considered it rape but it was technically rape.
she was at her friends house passed out drunk and she woke up and the mentally ill brother was inside her raping her.

so thats 6 women not one of them went to cops...i feel like i know more its just something here that happens.
she actually does not even know i know that story. she told one person and SHE felt ashamed of it.

but some are false i told you one of them i totally disbelieve so 1 in 6 i know of were false is my personal estimate.

In USA proving rape in a court of law is very hard to do.

I get what you are saying from an idealistic or objective stand point.

But reality is people usually just want to push on with lives.
