SOmething else I would also like to add is people who get anxious, and have some form of anxiety should not wear hair pieces.

I was drunk as **** last night at a club, been awhile. I messed up heavily with a buncha chicks, I took my tolerance for granted and couldn't handle my liqour. Lookingback I could have brought something home that night had I been more coherent, and collective with myself.

Anyhow, I was so anxious whenever I went into areas with lighting, places like patio, and such rele messed me up to the point where I was a bit scared ontop of being real drunk.

Moral: Don't wear a piece if you're the type of guy who cares to much, and gets rele anxious in certain situations. it got pretty bad to the point where ontop of being drunk, I kept having thoughts in my head about wearing while talking to others. plague...

Shook thanks for this thread. Reading your experience and vicariously living through it affirmed my belief that a wig is definitely a solution a lot of us would cross off our list.

Those advertisements that make it look so easy almost had me convinced. But they definitely don't mention the maintenance and lifestyle problems that comes with wearing a piece.

Speaking of wigs, I once had this guy who was losing his hair ask a girl I worked with if I was wearing a wig. This was a few years ago. To me that was a great complement because my native hair looked like a wig. Since then I doubt I will ever hear that again.

Evil Locks,

I really think a wig would be fine for you. I don't think people are as judgmental of women. Female hair loss is so rare that you could claim it's a rare genetic disorder.

Alternatively, you could marry a fundamentalist Muslim, convert, and wear the hijab... J/K :)

As long as it doesn't fall off out in public, It'll be fine. And haha, I've actually considered (for real) converting to a Muslim just so I could wear the hijab and cover up my shame.

I grew up in a religious Jewish environment. Lots of married women wore wigs, and I never saw a wig fall off. It seems like it happens rarely, so if it happens once or twice in your life it doesn't matter.

Trust me, you don't want to convert though. Religion is a lot of trouble.

Also, don't be ashamed of fake hair.

A lot of the other women in the world have fake boobs, fake skin, fake eyes, fake butts, they dye their hair so fake hair too, and so on. They marry men with a lot of debt that they don't like and then they live in homes with fake ownership, and project a fake happiness.

So fake hair is really a mild thing.

I guess one advantage of adopting artificial (fake)adaptation devices is that not only can it reaffirm our belief
that being true to oneself is realizing and honoring the unique value of the real you, along with your right to exercise change in the face of opposition;

it can also expand this human principle to include: being true to oneself means that when our natural selves are threatened in any shape or form,
it's our loyalty to our true self that which we are acting on and not self betrayal,

It is this double exception we can learn to personally accept and peacefully coexist with strangers, and still feel very much an exceptional and integral part of the human tapestry.
When we choose to implement any artificial means of manipulation that honorably serves and protects our own freewill and respect to thine own self and personal discretions,
we are merely paying homage in our own constructive fashion to the spirit of equality that simultaneously ties us to this world and releases us from it.

If you realize that in 50 years you will be probably rotting in the ground and nothing will matter anymore, some wig falling off now ....

Hair piece does look real good lately though, but I'm still going through with ditching it.

It takes awhile for the hair piece to settle, but once it does it will remarkably look better.

Looks 'wiggish' for the first few weeks. Need to tame it, break it down, and wear it in.

Evil every experience is unique so I'll just speak to the understandable bonding concern you rightfully bring up.
I'll briefly recount one specific illustration which might assuage a legitimate future anxiety all 'pieceheads' generally confront sooner or later.

When I used to wear a partial piece (frontal) I used only adhesive strips to secure it.
I'll just say somewhere along my journey as a Wiglet I found myself unexpectedly in line at the gates of a local popular amusement park.

After spending a good 6-8 hours literally riding the park circuit from station to station,
our tired and contented troupe made it's way off the crowded premises with a total average of 6 internationally renowned roller coaster rides under each our belts. Needless to say the fun experience came off without a hitch.
Ahhhhh... Interesting story. I couldn't help thinking it could end badly, though.

You're right haha.., I guess I would say that it comes with the hairitory.
Harem scarem any way you slice it and a form of recreation I would hesitate
recommending to any fainthearted wig wearer. -)

Not really.Hair falling off will impact quality of the whole time you spend here. Wig falling off not so much.

Oh I hope she pulls the "oh if you were only honest from the beginning it would be no big deal but you lied" knowing full well she wouldn't give a bald guy 2 minutes of her time

Can't you wear a scarf to cover the hair?

It would suck a bit always having to wear a scarf, no? Almost like always having to wear a hat...
You should give a try to baseball caps. They can look cool on women too but you can't go to formal gatherings with them.
