zero guarded my entire head.

. i like the frame, and my face but my ears are just to prominent to fit this look. it throws the look off.

If I ever go bald..... chin implants and otoplasty.

From profile I look great.

Huge reality check. hair is everything.... Jeez. I'm going to hide away for the next two weeks. I need more hair on my head.

this is a lot for me to take in right now. it's been 10 years since I buzzed my entire head to a 0-1 grade

At least you tried it man. There is actually a guy at my gym with a 0 guard who actually pulls off the look very well. And that is another misconception that fullheads make. They think that a 0 guard is the same as completely horseshoe bald which couldn't be further from the truth. With a 0 guard, people can still tell that you have a decent head of hair (with the stubble), but a horseshoe or a bic'd head is as noticeable as the sunshine. But anyway, I'm sure you don't look as bad as you think, esp. since you're a weightlifter. And if you say you look like a thug, some chicks do like the bad boy look. Also, I didn't realize you were in rural Canada. I always thought you were in the US. So how bad are the summers in rural Canada? As brutal as they are here in the eastern US?

Shookwun- you're saying you have a full head of hair, what norwood are you? 0-1? and what norwood were you before the implants?

1 guard is good enough even for full norwoods

0 guard is excessive i think. it doesn't have to be that short

Thanks for the encouragement. I had no choice but to zero guard with the razor all over, not enough hair ontop to blend with 1 guard clipper.

The sides are also way healthier then the top. I had to shave the sides even less to blend in with the top.

Hopefully my toppik comes in the mail within the next 3 days. That will help deal with the transition.

Shook did you cut the template and the piece base and hair alone or you went to some specialist?

NW1..... I got my temple points, and more angle closure done a few months ago.

I freed myself of the wig life, and i'm never going back. Id rather have less density then worry about that crap ever again.

Dude if two hair transplant got you back to NW1 it might as well be the solution most people need.

NW1 is like having a full head of hair.

Shook, didn't I read a post you made saying you hated toppik?

Apologies if I'm wrong. Good choice though. Stuff is great

Id hate having to use it as a solution to hair loss, but seeing as it's temporary it will help with the early phase of the transition.

It's scary how thin hair looks when it's short. Doesn't seem possible to fill in, but apparently it did when it was .5 inch all over.

I have light ashe tone so my hair is very fine in color when it's short, but full when it's grown out looking.

My toppik should be in the mail by monday.

Got the scar filled in, looks worse then it did pre SMP. it's all inflamed from the ink gun.

yep, thats why even as a fully bald guy i don't like shaving it or buzzing it, its like i have no hair. but its still better because when its long you look a lot older. i saw a fellow nw6 grown out who looked young in the face, i was like "wow, thats what i look like? damn i look old"

but at the same time you can mitigate it by buzzing it on 1 instead of shaving it on 0. its a good compromise without going full sly and looking like a lightbulb

toppik is great too, the one semester i went to college in real life i lived and breathed the stuff so it looked like i had a full head. almost got caught too lol, you need to be careful to use as little as possible.

I always thought the number 1 rule for balding was to keep it short, maybe I'm reading this wrong. Mine looks patchy when it grows out too much, short-ish however (like a 4 on a razor length, maybe 2-3cm) and it's a decent head of hair unless under harsh lighting.

Keeping it short is the most important part of appearing dominant, and not looking inferior. Comb overs make you look weak.

my suggestions are a crew/flat top hair style ontop where the crown is at a lower guard, and gradually gets higher to the hairline. Sides need to be faded around ears, nape and temple points. A little product to side part the .5-1 inch style and it will look great. A personal fav, it's short, clean and stylish.

a 4 clip is nothing compared to a 0 guard.

Shaving my head actually made me more humble towards others. I feel a odd connection between other men with shaved heads, it's sorta like 'yeah he knows, that's whats up with a nodd' I can't explain it lol. it's a brotherhood.

I'm not sure if women are lying to me, but a few saw me with a 0 guard, and they said it looks good, all of them. They like it....... I didn't ask for there opinions, but Im skeptical. only concrete way to find out is going to the club this weekend with a bit of toppik and seeing how women react to me physically.

I'm feeling a bit off. This girl gave me her number last week, and we have been in contact. I'm planning to take her out friday for dinner, then drinks at the club for a bit of dance. She hasn't seen me with a shaved head so I'm not sure how she will respond. Maybe it's in my head... but this dominant and masculine look isn't something im used to. iv'e gone for the pretty guy look.

Hopefully all goes well..... I have to wear a hat though. My scar is all inflamed after getting SMP.

You're planning on using toppik on a completely shaved head ??

my head isn't completely shaved anymore. it's coming in the mail on Monday, which will be around 8-9 days since a 0 guard.

Still, I thought that would be too short.
Good to know, cause I'll be at the shaving stage soon enough if finasteride doesn't start working a bit better.

how is it to short. Doesn't toppik just need to hold onto your hair?

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. Having a 0 guard is completely and utterly different from being truly bald. This girl will still easily see that you have a hairline and a very good head of hair. A guy at my gym buzzes to a 0 guard and everyone can see that he's not bald.

I just miss my hair man. i feel very plain

this scar at the back of my head bugs me the most. I got it SMP'd in, and it's all inflamed and looks worst now then it did prior to getting it done.

Im hoping the scar will settle. Ive been dunking polsporin all over it.

What about this? Much improved version os SMP IMO. Its called microbladding and only used for brows, but could work very well to scar or even to strenghten temple are or hairline with shaved head. This girl had no brows before.
