I also use caffeine with it. It pretty much halted my hair loss but loses its efficacy after a while.

Do you add the caffeine right into the zix ? Does it change the color by any chance ?really want a darker color other than yellow lol.

Hello, no it doesn't make any changes. I am out of my regular P5P and use Vitamin B6 by itself. My P5P, however, wasn't yellow and the brand swore that it was indeed real and even sent me some lab analyze paper thingy. So...translucent P5P may be a thing lol.

I second this. Even my P5 is white, and even my solution is not yellow as people claim here.

Thanks, my solutions always come out yellow, not a big deal, but i do want to find a way to make it dark so I can use zix as a conceler as well, that would make the solution even better. Anyone tried the version with saw palmetto any color change ?

Im wondering if anyone knows if this zinc is heptahydrate. Others have it to and are not sure. The ops zinc is very hard to get in the united kingdom.

Does anyone know, please?

So Im 20 or 21 days after adding minoxidil to me regimen. I feel a bit rediculous for not mentioning it to my wife, as I discretely apply it before bed. Anyhow, that's neither here nor there. My scalp feels looser and generally healthier, but I have yet to see any results as it's way too early. Also, I may be shedding a little more, but nothing significant. What I have however noticed, is I am getting low grade persistent headaches, dont sleep as well and am a little more tired. I am tempted to try and switch my application zix to night, and minoxidil to morning as the headaches come in the morning after I sleep. Or maybe use .75mls of minoxidil instead.

Anyhow, Im almost 25% through my experiment, so im reluctant to stop in spite of the headaches. Guess I'll just keep this up and hope things improve.

The color of the solution depends on concentration, etc. Most of the time my zix looks yellowish but turns more white in time or when there's less zix in the bottle.

I think it’s about the color of the specific product. The company told me that they had a formula against oxydation which made the P5P more effective inside of the human body. Maybe the yellow color is basically oxidation?

I stand corrected, I think the shedding is increasing due to minoxidil. I guess we all expected this to come, but needless to say, I dont like it. I hope it subsides soon.

What is the typical timeline again for shedding to slow down, is it 2 weeks?

Hello Guys

I'm a diffuse thinner, I really lost a lot of ground, you can see my scalp now in the middle, I was going to save up the money and get a hair transplant but now I noticed a very agressive shedding even in my donor area. It's all started 3 years ago when I bleached my hair( damn you girlfriend ) .

I want to try the Zix formula before going on topical finasteride

What I have near me is ZMA capusles containing for 3 capsules :

30 mg of Zinc monomethionine aspartate
10mg of b6 pyridoxine hcl
and magnesium

do this types of zinc/b6 work also ?

Thank you

The 5ar inhibiting properties of azelaic acid seem very weak. I got side effects within a month of using finasteride but have gotten 0 side effects from topical prescription azelaic acid which I've used for nearly a year. On some acne forums people had hoped that azelaic acid would be good for mitigating oily skin because of the supposed 5ari properties, but I haven't seen anyone say it actually improved oily skin, and it certainly didn't for me. I'd be shocked if the effects that guy got were from azelaic acid and not some psychological issues he's dealing with.

you need to use the proper types of zinc, b6, alcohol and water. Any deviation will in all likelihood render the mix ineffective.

Can this be because of Zix (Asking out of curiosity)?

From the last few days, I have noticed that I feel tired in the later half of the day. I use Zix in the morning (of course the question is also if I am using the Zinc heptahydrate or not because I am using Zinc sulphate that is not manufactured by pluspharma). Anyway, coming to the point - I do feel tired in the second half, and I have only added Zix to my existing regimen of Regaine Foam, MSM & Biotin capsules, dermaneedling weekly.
Other than that, I am someone who is fit enough to do head stands and has healthy food habits.

Of course, there are other possibilities to consider but may be the experienced users can throw some light here?

its possible, since zinc competes with various trace minerals, but should be an higher dosage or you were already lacking iron/copper/magnesium
you should run some tests to answer this

I would find it hard to believe that zinc competes with other minerals especially this early in the game. The concentration you've mixed should last 2 weeks to a month, that equates to 5-10mgs a day if you were to take it orally. But you're not taking it orally, so how much zinc are you absorbing, I'm guessing probably less. So that's a low dose.

I added minoxidil and have been feeling more tired and have headaches, but at the same time I may just be tired, stressed, exhausted from kids, work. So I decided not to blame minoxidil and have no associations. I had a pretty good day in the end yesterday.

In the end, is it possible zix can make you tired? Yes I'd say it's possible as much as other reasons. It's supposed to prevent hairloss, so it's possible it could have an effect beyond just your scalp.

I only apply it once a day. You could try using it at night . But try not to overthink it, because then you'll be expecting it and it could end up being worse - placebo effect.

There’s no getting off the minoxidil train once you get on! Enjoy the bumpy ride lol

Thanks for your response. I am also of the belief that I would be absorbing traces. Although I bought the zinc and b6 from a reputed website, I hope they are authentic. Lastly, I do apply zix after the morning hair wash as I am applying minoxidil at night. Minoxidil makes my hair and scalp more visible than zix, hence I prefer this routine.
