most fat ppl dont have much temples, they have more likely diffuse thinning on vertex and top..
most bodybuilders etc who are bald have bald temples and not really bald vertex areas

There is a very large consensus among scientists, especially in the field of dermatology, that hairloss is the result of DHT. On a more micro level, you can find multiple studies that show that DHT disrupts the WNT pathway, which is currently being studied by follica. All these other theories about decreased blood flow, skin tightness, etc are not looking at the root cause.

There is no trend with weight and hairloss or muscle mass and hairloss. You are greatly misinformed.

So funny.
Squeegee, did you say you got your dermaroller off ebay? Any preferred sellers? Also titanium or non titanium?

Amazon.com and ebay.com are the best sources.. China offers really good quality derma-roller. Titanium will be the way to go.. but are they really titanium LOL .. they all do the job. Just keep them super clean and monitor the needles for damages..

Just a few examples... you don't need a 200.00$ FDA recommended roller.. this is some friggin advertisement bull****.

What's that? No studies that top the Botox study, German study, or Detumescence therapy study <= (if its in fact legit) ???? I thought so.

Yea man, great response and info overall.... we can all see how well it's been going for you before you started wounding your head. I bet you live a GREAT life as well too! I mean, who wouldn't want to live their lives pathetically verbally attacking people on a hair forum and viewing/citing rat studies all day and not get paid for it? LOL. You're a moron kid. Rolling needles on your head which promotes/induces BLOOD FLOW to a great extent, emphasizes that you NEED TO BLEED, but doesn't believe in the blood flow theory, LMAO. I rest my case.

Oh and btw, can you answer the questions I asked before? You can't can you? Okay then.

Anyways, I bet you at least 80 percent of the people on this forum that haven't been either vigorously massaging their scalps, working towards loosening their Galea's, or haven't been doing anything to induce blood flow to their scalps are experiencing numbness and/or increased itching and pins and needles feelings as we speak.

Bottom Line: You can stop showing everyone on this forum how immature and sexually frustrated you are and possibly cite me some HUMAN studies that top the 3 studies I mentioned in my first paragraph orrrr you can just get lost and go about your journey. Plain and simple.

Masturbating your head by (vigorously massaging your scalp) works just like Minoxidil as a vasodilator. Use your little brain.. little moronic kid.. you just physically triggering it instead of pouring minoxidil on your dumb pumpkin.

Vasodilation refers to the widening of blood vessels.
When blood vessels dilate, the flow of blood is increased due to a decrease in vascular resistance.

By using the derma roller your are enhancing Keratinocyte Proliferation, Growth Factor Migrations, dumping a **** load of ATP in an hypoxic environement and yes blood flow by triggering acute inflammation. This is why it is important to bleed. You promotes physical changes and stem cells migration.

I have nothing personal against you,
just go back to page 1 and read the ****ing thread and studies or stop the non sense galea theory or others dumbasses **** that been said a millions times. There are threads about it if you want to talk about masturbating your dumb *** head.

BeliefISKEY, is your scalp pretty numb compared to the skin of your rectum? If not, how long has this extreme tightness been going on for you?

The first part of your reply? Completely idiotic and unnecessary. The second? Proves me right.

Are you seriously attempting to give me a lesson on vasodilation just so you can stall and desperately look for another rat study confirming the validity in your little theory there, sir?

On another note, I actually think that rectum joke was funny, lol. But whatever man, nothing personal at all. At the end of the day we're both on a mission to obtaining a full head of hair.

If you read through Cotsarellis's research, you would know that scalp wounding leaves open a small window of time for the production of fgf9(approx 1 weeks if I recall). From the studies, we know that fgf9 is produced in high amounts from mice when wounding occurs which leads to 3 fold hair growth but is not produced in sufficient quantities when human skin is wounded. the fact that wounding alone provides little to no hair growth but the combo with minoxidil provides significantly better results indicated that minoxidil effects fgf9 levels when the scalp is wounded. Yes massaging the scalp may have minor effects in terms of hair growth, but the importance of fgf9 is paramount. To clarify, the minoxidil/wounding study was performed on humans and was well controlled and published in a very well known journal.

Somebody even pointed out before a study where they showed that fgf9 is over-expressed on certain types of cancer...

We just don't have enough info to mess around with it yet...

Just order FGF9 from here:
http://products.creative-biolabs.com/symbolsearch_FGF9_1.htm

any millionaires around?

FGF-9 is cheap (relatively). Look here:

http://www.prospecbio.com/FGF9_Human_2/?gclid=CM3u6paR1LkCFahcMgodXEUA1A

As far as I know, only a small amount of it is needed to cover bald areas, so the 5mcg for $50 would suffice. Having said that, it'd also be interesting to see how it works (if it works) on a small area. Perhaps dermarolling or severely wounding a small slick bald area and then injecting the substance at some point after wounding.

What do you guys think about topical spironolactone along with dermarolling?
Would it be too dangerous?

Hell, why don't you try it instead of soliciting everyone on here?

If you wait enough time after rolling, I doubt you'd be at high risk of systematic absorption. However, I stopped S5 cream once I started dermarolling because I have no idea how it would affect the healing process and whether it would help or hurt what we're trying to accomplish by dermarolling.

what are some good topicals to use while derma rolling for regrowth? I know minoxidil is. What about a few others?

My scalp itching reduces significantly the first 4 days after rolling. Does anyone know why this is?

Scalp is healing from the damages induced by the derma roller.

why spironolactone?

I've been using it 3-4 times a week as a topical. The newer stuff doesn't stink like the old stuff and no sides experienced.

From my understanding, the way it works (or doesn't work) is totally different from minoxidil so I'm not trying to use it as an alternative. Just thought if I can keep it or drop it once I start derma rolling.

Okay. Thanks for your input. I'll look into quitting S5 once I start dermarolling.
