nice pics but . use numbing cream to tolerate it and wait two more rolls before you see blood true blood. and i think you must press much harder.

I just had my first roll. Yay.

2 questions:
- Do you guys roll the whole head on the non-balding areas?
- Does the roller rule out your hairs?

I just ordered a 2.0 192 roller, may do the 1.5 1st a couple rolls then a few with the 2.0, I have noticed a little more blood also, rolled my forehead also, but sticking with the 1.5 for that, really thinking of using numbing cream, 5th roll tomorrow, I have a bottle of mixed minoxidil, saw palmetto liquid, b12 liquid, retin a, that I am going to apply after a very light roll a couple times a week, may go with a .5mm for that. I am shedding bad so I want to try to jumpstart growth as best a I can

View attachment 22604View attachment 22605View attachment 22606 so just finished seventh roll. here a pic of the bleeding you must have. by the way this bleeding is twice it was and it must be the new vessels... its also a pic of my weapons,

tomorow this time is minoxidil time. take care :salut:

I know it seems horrifying for some, it is the pressure on the roller that cause the bleeding. Next time you guys roll, just try it in a small area.. Pressure makes it worst.. Just like popping zits! The pictures shows a guy adding great pressure on the roller which may looks like excessive bleeding. 2youngtoretire is focus and motivated. 1.5mm all in or go home!

Cover as much ground as possible. Enlarge your scalp plumbing system! 192 needles doesn't do any damage to your existing hairs. Yes, you will probably shed some hairs just like brushing them.

It is really important to go deep with the roller. Perifollicular sheath is the major problem in Androgen Alopecia.

During the hair cycle the follicle has to be rebuilt from stem cells,” explains Dr Bruno Bernard, director of research for life sciences at L’Oreal. “Stem cells in human hair follicles are localised in two different reservoirs – one is in the upper part of the follicle and the other in the lower part. “The cells in the lower part are required to activate the cells in the upper part and so help to maintain the follicle function. The thickening of collagen in the connective tissue sheath, which sits around the base of the hair follicle, prevents the movement of stem cells from the lower reservoir to the upper reservoir. Bit by bit, the follicle is squeezed and causes the follicles to grow smaller and smaller.” Indeed, research from The Rockefeller University in New York suggests movement between the two groups of stem cells is crucial in normal hair growth.
Another recent study, at the University of Pennsylvania, has shown that bald areas of scalp contain the same number of stem cells as hairy areas. It disproved theories that hair loss in androgenic alopecia was due to a loss of follicle stem cells suggesting that they have just become inactive.

I did go hard trust me. You could feel the little pops as it was breaking the skin.

I went the whole head for he most part to not just the bald areas. Figured Id hit the areas before I need to.
I could see a few hairs on the roller but honestly to me it was hairs that were already out and just clinging to others from my gross guido head sweat.
I will see next friday if it bleeds a bit more. Im pretty postive I was getting the entire needle all the way through.

5th roll with pics, no numbing cream B#tches lol, applied more pressure this time, not as much blood as I thought with that much more pressure, felt it deeper in my scalp though

after looking at the pics I definitely bled more this week, 1st pic was last week 2nd a few minutes ago, definitely pulled a lot of hair out though, dammit

Some things I do that help cope with pain while dermarolling:

-Drink
-Extra strength painkiller (2) (Probably not good for you with alcohol)
-Topical pain numbing cream (is lidocaine 5% that much different from Dr. Numb or some of the other names thrown around in here?)
-Don't ever look at the scalp while I'm trying to press down and add pressure
-Leave the water on slightly and place visual focus is on the dripping water from the tap = more focus on sight, less sensory input towards the touch/feel sense (restructuring your scap a few hundred needles at a time)
-Put some really bad TV on in the background (something you really cant stand). Somehow focusing on the bad makes it easier to press harder down on the roller and move it back and forth, in addition to helping get your mind elsewhere along with watching the water drip. I can definitely see how someone would see this as being masochistic, but to that I say isn't self-wounding somewhat masochistic in nature too?

On that note, maybe we need to look up other masochistic and self-harm coping methods to help lol

Any other ideas? Thoughts?

just noticed something weird, after rolling I wiped my head with a wet wash rag, 20 minutes after that I go in the bathroom to see and there is white chrystal/salt looking things all over my head ,WTF???, not like skin but harder, clear, not scabs, basically around the wounds

A few weeks ago, I found myself getting weak during the dermarolling. Halfway through I would just lose all energy and barely make it to my bed and collapse for the night.

Maybe this was the point where the new blood vessels were being formed and I was losing more blood.

Remember how you feel after giving blood sometimes and how losing too much can cause you to faint?

I did some research, and apparently orange juice and cranberry juice are good to restore blood glucose levels. I started adding these to my cocktails and the last 2 times the feelings of weakness during the rolling stopped.

Regardless of whether you make cocktails with them, I think it might be a good idea to keep the blood levels restored.

Do you have to draw blood for dermarolling to be effective?

Do you still see the small white inflamed bulbs at the bottom of the hairs (typical of an inflamed hair environment producing hair loss).

I have been going through a shed over the last few weeks after adding a few different items to my regimen and moving up to the 592 needle roller but the hairs look healthy without the bulbs and one would think that this means that the hairs are simply being replaced and the follicle is going to produce another healthy hair to replace it.

Good pictures btw!

What kind of rag?

After I do a pass I apply a kleenex/toilet paper to absorb some of the blood and sometimes it leaves slight residue...

Used a regular damp shower wash rag/cloth, did the same last week without white "crystals"
I have been shedding pretty goo also with no white bulbs, roller definitely pulls some out no bulbs there either, bulbs are usually just keratin though
just want to clarify, these were hard like salt or sugar crystals, not skin or residue, I had just washed my hair with baby shampoo also before rolling

I should get my derma roller 1.0 this week and will give it a try. I must admit the pictures of blood soaked head seem a bit extreme.

I'm getting results with not anywhere near this amount of blood. BUT i am rolling as hard as I can without breaking the roller. I think I may have much
less blood supply because I have no where near as much hair as as the guys that are getting all the blood.
