Is your transplant truly that bad?
To me it is, not sure if others can notice when it's cut to 1/8" unless they're looking for it. The dumb hack bosley doctor didn't understand angles or graft placement. The few hairs I have on the right hair line and back are all natural and angled to the right. On the left the transplanted hairs stick straight up in any direction. For the last years I had just enough to kind of comb them down. Not anymore. All my natural hair, every single strand is entirely dead around the transplant now.

We have been looking at this situation the wrong way entirely. Instead of a cure for hair loss, we need a medication that will make us enjoy suffering and humiliation. Like i pop a pill and every time someone stares at the weird transplants in my decrepit hair line I get a boner. Problem solved entirely. Let's hit up the Kane shop and see what he can do
We've had those pills for decades now, they're called Quaaludes

Your regimen says you just got back on finasteride. What issues did you experience on it?
ive been on finasteride and minoxidil since i was 28 years and im now 57 and still have a good head of hair yes there is a lack of libido but thats what blue pills are for. All i know without it i wouldnt be here now as my hair loss consumed me ,
Im based in the uk and went to see Hugh Rushton a world renowned hair loss specialist and nothing has changed in all that time as i still get my lotion and tabs from him.
If there was anything better out there he would know about it.
Along with this i take certrizine as they are antihistamine tabs as they stop the body attacking itself and are associated as a good aid for hair loss.
I also crush up certrizine and add to the minoxidil solution.
All i know im here for a good time not along time so take whatever works for me who wants to miserable all the time .

Blue pills doesn’t get you libido. They help to get hard if you have an organic problem, but they don’t work for libido.
Sorry for you, 30 year dickless, taking blue pills.

There’s no new research to be done. The cure to androgenetic alopecia is to destroy androgens. I’m not defending finasteride, it’s not a satisfying solution to the problem. But it is a drug that takes a step to begin to destroy androgens which is why it “works”.
Not necessarily. The cure is to prevent those androgens from harming hair. Reducing total production of androgens in the body is only one way. Blocking off the receptors is another. Imagine bicalutamides mechanism of action, but stronger, and localized to the scalp. That's what we need. If not something that binds to the androgen receptor, then something that outright destroys it.

Reducing total production of androgens (finas, dutas) is not one way. Is killing yourself.

What, I thought Finasteride wasn't marketed for hairloss until Propecia came out in 1997? So you've just been on proscar since 1995? Damn you're one of the first hairloss alchemists out there, that must have been an exciting time period for hairloss sufferers. I wasn't even born when propecia came out and they still haven't found anything better since then, I could only hope to go through a similar revolution in medicine as your generation did

Sorry to break this to you but no, you don't need androgens to live. They are required for reproduction but that's it. Estrogen is beauty.

it was given on a private prescription and i still buy it from Hugh Rushton based in Harley St London. It wasnt widely known to treat hair loss back then, but has been great for me he is a world renowned hair loss specialist so he would know if there was anything better out there but clearly not as he still sells it and it works

Here's the thing though. Many Men will naturally experience sexual dysfunction and the likes at some point in their life, and the odds of such occurrences happening only increase as you get older. When a guy says he's only just now having ED after taking finasteride for more than a few years it seems more than likely they were inevitably going to have that issue come up regardless of the finasteride use. That's why they have placebo groups in trials to see how the occurrences of ED compare with test subjects. Honestly though, ED is still a very real side effect of finasteride and whether it's 2% or 5% or whatever, that's simply too high for most men to be comfortable with using for their entire life. Most people don't like the idea of playing Russian roulette with their sex life at all
Ive been on minoxidil and finasteride since i was 23 im 57 this year and have a great head of hair supplied by Hugh Rushton of Harley St London,if there was any alternative better treatment he would know as he is at the top of his game.yes my sex drive as dipped but im banging on 60.
Its a no brainier for me as im here for a good time not a long time and who wants to miserable for a long time.
Nobody on here is happy about being bold so use the best treatment available to slow it /stop it until something better comes along. We have an alopecia drug coming out over here so a cure cant be to far off.

A cure can't be far off... lol. We won't see any actual cure in the next hundred years.
