Nothing bro,i have not taken action yet. I will Hop on finasteride soon though,i am diffuse at the front and left temple,so its time. When i get out of the showed i feel the same. It sucks@Trompt what are you doing for treatment?? I feel like when I get out of the shower after shampooing is when I trip on my hair the most.
What do you think about that topical solution stuff I found on my last post??Nothing bro,i have not taken action yet. I will Hop on finasteride soon though,i am diffuse at the front and left temple,so its time. When i get out of the showed i feel the same. It sucks
Honestly this thread gives me a lot of hope. I've a similar hairline to yours with a bit more hair on the temples and some thinning at the front at 23 and thought I was a Norwood 2.5 or NW3 for sure, but it seems like most people here see you as a 1.5-2.
I guess it's cuz I'm the only man in my family with recession, while my dad is a NW1 at 52, paternal grandpa died at 88 looking like Reagan and my great grandpa died at 102 as a fullhead. I'll be hopping on finasteride soon tho, because my maternal grandpa went bald in his late 20's-early 30's, and my maternal grandma's brother followed the same pattern. Hopefully I'll be able to hold off till 35-40 with my dad's genetics and a bit of pharmacology.
I wish you the best dude, from what I've read here you could probably stave it off for 2-5 years on Minoxidil 5%+1.5mm dermarolling if you have mild hair loss (Less than 50-60 hairs everyday) but you'd need something to assess the main problem, which is the DHT that is destroying your hair follicles, because Minoxidil is just a bandaid (Eventually you'd be forced to apply more and more Minoxidil on an ever smaller hairline). I hope topical finasteride works out for you, it has a lower side effect profile too. It isn't as effective as oral though, but maybe you could give topical dutasteride a shot if finasteride isn't enough.yeah I mean that’s probably where I was at 23 I am 26 now. I still trip out on my hair all the time, my friends say it’s always looked the same but I definitely notice a bit of thinning starting to happen and any loss with my natural high hairline can be a problem. I might give that serum up top a shot. If I could find something to thicken/keep what I have I would be ecstatic. What are your plans for your hair? I tried Fina but got sides
Sure dude, here's the video:@NickyA Damn can you send me that link?? I can’t find the video, if that’s true I would be willing to take it 3 times a week forsure. The below pics are 7 years a part though? 1st and 3rd one are from 2014 and the 2nd and 4th one are from today. I don’t even see too much loss.
I feel the same way or after I shower I trip on my hair. I’m really curious about this 3 times a week with Fina. Might sign up for keeps and do .5mg Monday/Wednesday/Friday. I was taking .5mg everyday last time from Hims. But I started getting intense anxiety and heart palpitations so I stopped after about 2 weeks. Could’ve just been a mental thing so idk. Are you going to hop on it?Sure dude, here's the video:
You seem to be holding up fine, I wish you the best man. I don't notice any recession at all from these pictures, dunno about thinning though. My hair looks nice enough but when examined up close using my new cellphone's camera the thinning it's going through makes me sh*t my pants hahaha

Yeah it's pretty bad to trip about this kinda stuff. .5 mg thrice a week won't be as effective but you could go for it if it you think it would give you peace of mind. It's pretty uncommon to get anxiety or palpitations from Fina so it might have been your mind playing tricks with your body (Nocebo Effect).
I'll hop on it in one or two weeks at the latest, I can't handle the stress of seeing my hairline thin without doing anything anymore. I feel like it'll be a huge relief for me.
Thanks man! I'll let you know how it's going!!please let me know how it goes for you! I wish you the best of luck, if it’s going well for you I may start the .5mg 3 times a week and work up to 1mg 3 times a week. If I could take that and get no sides plus be able to thicken my current hairline I would be ecstatic!!!
Dude where are you getting your finasteride? Going to order from the same place and I’m just going to start. I ask people and they don’t think my hair is receding excessively or they don’t really notice it much. Me on the other hand at this point am kind of in denial. I can see my hairline slowly become more thin and can see more scalp regardless. I don’t think I am going to recede rapidly but if I don’t take action now I’m fucked. Since I got sides doing .5mg everyday (anxiety etc) I’m going to just take .25mg or .5mg Monday/Wednesday/Friday and pray I don’t get sides, let me know! Thanks man! I'll let you know how it's going!!

Just got my Finasteride from Roman. Gonna start Monday/Wednesday/Friday .5mg wish me luck brotha! I’ll keep everyone posted on how it goes.I got my first packet from a pharmacist when I went to ask for Minoxidil 5% foam and they didn't have it there, but when he asked me "anything else?" I took the plunge and asked for finasteride. He simply sold it to me so that's how I got my first 60 tablets. After my dermatologist appointment I went to buy what she had prescripted (multivitamins and minoxidil 5% spray) and then to another big pharmacy chain to ask for finasteride, I simply showed them the bag from the other pharmacy and told them that they had kept the script for the other stuff but didn't have the finasteride brand that my doctor had suggested. Won't use the minoxidil yet because I want to wait a year on finasteride at least to see if I am a good responder to minoxidil or not.
I've been on finasteride for 2 weeks so far and everything's fine, if anything I'd say I feel healthier, more collected and calmer. I hope you get a good result if you decide to start. Anxiety sides are very uncommon so hopefully you were just having a strong Nocebo Effect.
I'm sure you won't have any trouble on this dosage, since it doesn't produce any side effects in most men. I even read a case report last week on a 19 year old guy who suffered gyno on 1 mg/day, had to stop 10 months for his gyno to disappear, then started taking 1 mg thrice a week for 2 years at least (That's when the study ended) without any trouble.Just got my Finasteride from Roman. how is your treatment going bro? Just hit 2 weeks .5mg Mon/Wed/Fri and I’m feeling great so far. Obviously nothing to report just yet but I’m praying I can get some new growth in the coming months/at least thicken my current hair!
Snap some pictures of your body hair (leg, chest, beard, arms) since you just started or later you'll go crazy trying figure out if you lost any or if it's always been that way. Sounds stupid but a simple picture is all it takes. Just wanting to give advice to people to help them avoid anything that could add to mental stress later on.
