f*** these guys will save our asses faster than we might think:

Thank you for your inquiry about SkinTE™. SkinTE is a human cellular and tissue-based product derived from a patient’s skin and is intended to repair, reconstruct, replace, or supplement that patient’s skin tissue/integument. Whether an individual patient’s particular condition may be appropriate for treatment with SkinTE™ is a medical decision to be determined in consultation with a licensed and trained physician. Currently, a derivative product of SkinTE is in development with the goal of delivering a solution for people in need of hair restoration, including androgenic alopecia. We will provide updates on the development progress as appropriate. For additional information about SkinTE™, please refer to our website.”

Interesting that hairlosscure2020 admin took the post detailing this email down. Mabe polarityte asked him to take it down? Either way this is great news if true. There's been alot of good news but I'm starting finasterife anyway. Tired of waiting on a what if.

Forgive my ignorance but due to the nature of this treatment (using your own tissue), that should mean it's quicker to pass through regulatory bodies, right?

I've been watching these guys with much interest for a while now and now that they've confirmed they are working on a specific alopecia treatment I'm feeling both quite hopeful and excited... :)

It’s funny because everyone talked sh*t to me for believing in this saying stuff like “they merged with a failing game company”, “company is less than a year old”, “why the f*** are you talking about skin in a hair forum?” And here we are.

What’s funnier is everyone now believes it and I’m the one who is starting to doubt it can produce enough hair for a slick bald dude. The only reason I doubt is because of the biopsy because it retains its properties. That one image of a pig in their presentation produced a lot of hair and covered the burn wound as if it never existed, but something about the pic looks like there was a small linear trace that would make me think is a scar where SkinTE connected with native skin.

I don’t have time right now but you guys should go check it out it’s in their investor presentation where it shows 2 wounds; 1 is just a controlled wound and the other is the SkinTE application.

Oh no this was from when the company had barely merged. Nobody even gave it a second look because what could a gaming company possibly do to solve hair loss and scars.

The people who took over though are all physicians and the CEO left a prestigious place when he was about to get promoted to a prestigious position to pursue this.

So many doubts that were answered within the course of a single year like: “They can’t be serious releasing this within a year, FDA impossible!” FDA trials aren’t necessary for autologous and homologous constructs. Just glad there’s multiple options to look forward to. As long as one of these companies solves it.

Yeah, but they're not a video game company anymore.

As I recall, most fears (especially for the Wall Street fucks) is that the company, like Majesco before it, are the result of many reverse mergers.

Which, to be fair...doesn't exactly bolster confidence.

Yep, the white lining is a minor scar.
There can't be any effective treatment which skin is involved in without scarring.

So I guess the admin of hairlosscure2020 just edited the post to not quote the guy that got that email from polarity in his blog post because it is unverified, which is fair. I don't think it's safe to get excited about a random poster claiming to have an email from them claiming something like this. I'm going to wait until they confirm it in a official press release. Not saying they're not working on it, but it is weird they didn't t send this response to other ppl. If anyone else got a similar response they should def speak up.

I emailed them several weeks ago and they were very vague in their response. They mentioned "potential cosmetic applications" in development. Maybe they are more willing to name specific applications now that they are rolling out full release of SkinTE in 2018. Either way, some of the language they used to respond to me was similar:
"Whether an individual patient’s particular condition may be appropriate for treatment with SkinTE is a medical decision to be determined in consultation with a licensed and trained physician."
That was the exact same phrase they placed in my response.

Interesting. I guess the admin of hairlosscure2020 has reached out to them. Maybe it'll result in an interview. The hype would be real if they agreed and we're willing to share more.

In my phone convo with the COO, I asked specifically about that “margin” as they call it because I was positive it was an end result and a more attractive word for scar. I threw out a specific term that I had read in another article about the margin being “virtually seamless to the naked eye.” He said that it is and then referred me to the magnified images in their investor presentation and pointed it again that the team that worked on this had they not known what to look for and where the wound used to be, would not have been able to find it either.

Most minor wounds heal to these white-lining undetectable scars.
It's probably like those scars you have had since you were a kid and it's only you who knows where they are.
It's impossible not to scar when skin is damaged.
That's nature.

Most minor wounds heal to these silver-lining undetectable scars.
It's probably like those scars you have had since you were a kid and it's only you who knows where they are.

Yes that is true, but I believe they've narrowed it down to an even more reduced appearance. Sure if it's a small wound then why not just let natural healing take its course, but the benefit really comes when you address the large wounds such as burn wounds and surgical scars like tummy tucks, FUT scars, and other skin defects.

So while it's obvious that the margin they describe is a small scar, if it's really that small then who would care? Addressing surgical scars will be high in demand especially with breast implants and tummy tucks. If they find a way to produce more follicles than from the biopsy, then 100s of thousands will address their FUT scars too because why not trade an 8 inch smiley face for a 2-3 cm long line? Problem is that I don't know how far they'll get with hair follicles.

I think the scar line won't be 2-3 cm.
It's gonna be the same length but less noticeable, if it's just geloid applied on the wound.
I think epithelial stem cell injections and laser treatment are gonna be the key to minimizing the 8" scar line of yours... in the future.
Btw, I meant white-lining, not silver-lining, lol.

No it should be about 2-4 cm long. He addressed that as well with me. The biopsy has to be a minimum of a few cm squared. That biopsy can be expanded by way more than the length of an FUT scar so it can definitely cover the FUT scar.

He went on further to say that the biopsy size will increase in the body's 10% increments depending on how big your wound is because they are ideally treating burn patients and usually their wounds (scars) are massive. So for every additional 10% of the body that is wounded, they will take an additional few sq cm of skin. He also told me that the minimum biopsy size can cover up to 10% of your body. Kinda like skin grafting but with the benefit of not having to use huge grafts.

It sounds promising.
I thought the area treated is left with minor scarring around the edges, but apparently that is not the case.
Oh, well. All we can do is wait, I guess.
