One year ago i used to have an amazing head of hair, nw1, amazing density, amazing volume, super curly, i was in loooove wit it, one year forward in time and now im a nw3, shitty volume, shitty density but ppl still see me as a full head of hair even tho i know i've lost like 20-30% of my hair. When i tell them im going bald they tell me i'm crazy abd that i am the person whmith more hair that they have ever known...I had a receding hairline in my teens too. I was watching other guys' hairlines too.
But I wasn't plucking off hairs from different areas of their heads and comparing the thickness of hair shafts for miniaturization under magnification. That's what it really takes to spot early miniaturization.
Sorry to keep giving you crap about this but it's something that I feel strongly about it. IMO checking for miniaturization should be more understood and more common. There are exceptions to everything but IMO long-term balding is usually detectable many years before it gets visible. I think thousands of guys would be making better baldnesss treatment and hair transplant decisions if we all did more "early screening" for the problem. By the time it's visually noticeable at all, the process is already advancing past the most treatable stages.
The best time to fight baldness was back when our friends/family would have called us crazy to be thinking about it.
