i think if a girl doesnt care if your nw6 shaven, then she wouldnt care if your nw3 with longer hair/shaven whatever.... the diffrence between nw3 and 6 isnt big enough to make a diffrence in ones mind.
(ps i enjoyed reading your last post sf!! seems your growing out of this, which is something i envy alot!!, keep it up m8!)
Do you know this from experience or are you talking out of your butt?

Me? I have been both a NW3 and a NW6. You?

Why the attitude? :dunno:

anyways, i was nw1 and had LOT of female attention (was too shy and dumb to do something about that at the time) today... im probably Norwood 4 heading to 5, the front is dead and the rest is defusing, female attention dropped to none since i hit NW3. as i see, i just dont fit the bald look, no matter what i do (tan/gym/clothing etc etc) when a girl see you that bald that young (ie nw3 at 24) then if she still goes with you, i dont think the baldness is something she cares about... (again, *if* a girl that young would date you, and thats a huge If from my personal experience)
the fact that you are NW6 doesnt make your opinion any better then mine so please calm down, we dont have to agree, but we can talk to each other with some respect.

(oh and you can have a look at my pictures and see for yourself that im not exactly nw1, these were taken few months back and now situation is ALOT worse since im not treating this at all)

I can totally relate to you Orri everything from not sure about the bald look to being young and shy with a NW1.

I remember you saying earlier you were considering razoring it to check it out.
I´m def not a slybaldguy member or going to say 'Looks good man, good to go´etc which they say, but I´d give it a go with the razor if you are shaving with a 0 or 1 grade just for you to check out what you think of it, Did you try shaving it with a razor? If you don't like it, it'll only take 3 days or so to grow in a bit, and you can hide under a beanie for a few days til the stubble comes through.

I'm not also totally sold on the ´Razored/Sly´look yet, but I do feel that it looks better than having a Norwood 2.5 very very nearing 3 stubble growing in. My hair is very dark and with pale ish skin, and it being winter here.. I've got a brillo feeling on my head after 2 days of shaving.

I´ve still not come to terms with my loss yet, and still not 100% sure what my main goal is.. hence being on here and researching what I should do. I've been trying to 'Grow' my hair to see if I can do anything with it at all. I didn't think it was as bad as it is, but it´s almost Wayne Rooney esque hairline thinning etc.

Hope all is well.

Sorry but the difference is between night and day. A nw3 (which I would give my left leg to be) can crop his hair short and while he looks balding, he looks aged at a certain age group. A nw6 has to shave it off or else he just had a long horseshow which looks horrible on everyone.

I have to second HP on this one. Anyone who says there is no difference between a 3 and a 6 has obviously never been a six and should stfu imo.

WHat people dont understand is I would give anything to be a nw3. Yes I would miss all my hair but at least I wouldn't be the totally bald guy anymore. And short of butchering my whole head with tons of operations for tons of money and hope of a good result, there is no option.

Ideally having an FUE and body hair is a good option (no scars) except that it costs about 90,000. Yes I checked around for that.

If you are a thick haired NW3 then I agree it shoud not be compared to a NW6 because just look at Jude Law. Ultimately though the majority of NW3s are starting to diffusely thin all over so unless you have a thick healthy NW3 chances are it will look crap.

Nope, it's STILL better than a NW6. If I shaved my head with in a diffuse NW3, I'd still have something up there in terms of stubble rather than slick bald.

A thick NW3 is obviously better as I can grow it out some but a thinning NW3 is still good to me.

You will have no idea until it's all gone. I mean every hair.

I agree with everything you just said and I just cant imagine what you would have been through but seriously why would you even consider losing your leg for a semi-bald head of hair ? oh I nearly lost my left leg and my left hand in a freak accident a couple of years ago.I still cant acheive the same level of flexibility in my left leg as before and my left hand continues to make a clicking noise.They offer you far more vital functions than your hair which can only get you in bed with a shallow b**ch or win you the respect of all those superficial fools out there which can be important too in order to lead a "normal" lifestlye but it cant be compared to the level of importance of your limbs,eyesight,mental health,etc;

Not about superficial. I'm not trying to have hair so women will think I'm attractive. THat is icing.

For me, it's about fitting in. I'm sorry but when you are in a work meeting or something with 40 people and you are the only bald guy there, it's beyond humbling. When you are among 100 people and you are the only bald white guy there who is under 50, again it's humbling.

That must be really tough but seriously thats no reason for you to feel your leg is of less importance.

i'd give my testicles to have a full head of hair. My hair was always really precious to me. Sometimes i wish i was born without balls just so i wouldn't have to go through this experience. i don't care about women.

but a leg for a Norwood 3? no way in hell! Do you think you would fit in better with one leg as a handicapped person than with a bald head?

I wouldn't trade my leg or testicles for a NW1 head of hair for the rest of my life, I like being able to jerk it and like not having to put on a fake piece of machinery on in the morning.

Better yet, tell a war veteran you would trade your leg(s) for a full head of hair. I am sure he would respond with sympathy.

What are you trying to say Obsidian?

Losing a limb or two might be a bit rough and sure you can't climb stairs as easily, or dance, or play many sports as well. And of course you're more likely to need specialised nursing care when you're older, you'll probably need a special disabled vehicle too, and there are some places which are hard to get to as they don't have disabled access. So yeah, losing a limb might be a little inconvenient, but it can't possibly as bad as losing your hair like the other 40,000,000 Americans?

/sarcasm

Seriously though, I've said this before and speaking as someone who had a parent who had a leg amputated; anyone who thinks that life is better missing a limb than with hair loss needs to take a long sit down and give themselves a reality check.

HatPrisoner, honestly, the more of your posts I read, the more I'm convinced you're perceiving a completely different reality to the rest of us; get help man.

Coming from the guy (or girl or whatever) who spends about 50 times more of their day on a hairloss forum than I do. I'm lucky if I'm here twice a month this past year.

You CAN ALWAYS find worse though. Doesn't make what an individual person is going through any different. Plus, it's called using an "expression". Guess that hasn't translated for some here.

Point being while being a NW3 to some isn't much, for someone who has lost all their hair, that is a huge step up. No one here will realize this until they lose everything. And as much as you try to pretend, it's not gonna be the case. You have no idea.

Your post makes no sense, also my ~1,000 posts in six years vs. your ~850 in less than three indicates your maths are somewhat in error...

Nice how you edit your post in attempt to make it offensive just because I pointed out you're mistaken in your calculations, classy.
(your revised figure is still way off by the way, just saying)

My mistake. I wrote it in English thinking you could understand it.

Do you not read the comment?

I barely get on here. Most of my posts were back then. See the difference or do you need further clarification?

Wow, I took an entire 3 minutes to edit it too. In that time, you had already "quoted" my post. Wow check the forum much? hahahah!
