Today I realized the power of shedding a tear. After listening to a song that I hadn't listened for a while and reminiscing how carefree and beautiful my life was a few years ago,I cried a lot. Luckily my mom was in the other room listening to some music so she didn't get a hint of what I was doing. But now I feel a bit relieved and relaxed. It felt as if there was something weighing me down and after crying that weight has been pushed away. It's a relief even if it lasts for a short while.

A real incel, not someone who is just average or slightly below, is probably less than 5% of the population.

I think you will find the numbers of people out there that are involuntary celibate constitute more then 5 percent.
More like 20 percent. And these folks should not be alienated by the "normal" majority.
Of course I have only empirical evidence reflecting this.

It would be impossible to measure.
Thinking back to my uni days - in class there was only one guy out of our 40 who seemed an incel - and he ended up having a decent looking girlfriend (they were both devout Christians.)

Apparently 11% of men aged 21 are virgins.
Some will be incels, some mentally handicapped, and some religious weirdos.
