I was gonna say that generally, physical beauty is universally recognized / admired. But I don't understand why guys go for the look you describe.. all the fakery, and it's desirable? Why? It's all a lie...

also some men enjoy other men sexually objectifying their wife or girlfriend.
makes them all puffed out.
opposite some men can not stand other men sexually objectifying woman.

What contributed to this mentality? It applies to women as well looking for their trophy husbands; downtown Toronto financial district is notorious for this, where girls are chasing good looking guys that are bankers. I have some girl friends that are EXACTLY like that.

Oh i know a lot of women only date wealthy men...Even in my 20s this was very common...they did not have to be 'good looking' this must be a new thing with millennial girls. Looks and money in men lol it was always one of the other in past.

She's an average good looking woman, she wouldn't embarace any guy looks wise and yeah she can be a trophy wife given his appearance.

I think its also where people are from she's like a "vegas' trophy wife...In Manhattan trophy wives wear better quality clothing. Also classier looking.

Low body fat percentage, large breasts, healthy hair have been desirable for a long time.

A toned body is a new preference though. I think the desire for women to be more athletic is only ~20-30 years old.

I work in a very shallow probably the most shallow industry going so i am not really easily impressed by standards of beauty i have seen it all and it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to just pure esthetic beauty..when i start to look at looks as a product and not a person i can be very superficial. This is not something you can do in your personal life or sexual life.

Beauty is not really so cut and dry to me personally.

I think Juliette Binoche and Monica Bellucci who are both in their 50s are incredibly beautiful sexy women. Marion Collard is another but younger i think is incredibly sexy.I would rather have sex with any of them then lets say Brooklyn Decker..who is very pretty but does nothing for me.

Im straight woman but 'been' with women few times, i can appreciate women for their beauty. Not for much more than that as far as relationships go.

Its like just go for what you find hot. age, weight, coloring, gender etc if it works for you than so be it.

thats why i say if a man finds a woman to have a certain esthetic beauty more important than lets say what she does for a living or what she has to talk about--then go for it if you can get it!

I do not think this is new.
I think if anything its an antiquated way of society...women young and beautiful better hurry up by the time she 24 and get the man with money while still young enough..and man better make sure he can make enough money to support a family because he will be sole provider...its an antiquated way of life that should be obsolete by now.

Personally i do think its important to find a partner IF you intend to get married since its a contract--who 'values' money the same way..meaning you both find the same types of things valuable. Meaning is renting more inmprtant than buying a home or is buying a used car better than leasing a luxury, are new clothes more important than having vacations, is investing money more important than spending it fast and living large? --that sort of thing i think is more important to a contractual relationship of any kind.

some women can carry extra weight and still be attractive problem is most it starts to distort the body shape...Not making them unattractive in 'real world' but looks awful on film etc. So today its a lot of online dating a woman who is carrying maybe an extra 20 pounds can look so much bigger when photographed...this is why celebrity women get so much sh*t if not size 2...size 2 in person is teeny tiny...size 0 they have little girl bodies. Some women are naturally small frame and still curvy...but in real life its not attractive on most women..in my opinion.
but a lot of men like short very petite women---lol i think howard stern used to call them 'spinner's
