See my question though right above your reply!! :)

sorry, I guess im getting sick of everyone asking me the same questions over and over again in the same thread.

To be very specific, I apply a 1/4 teaspoon total to my left and right temples, no more than 1cm above the hair line
got it.

I had just been curious as to the use of spironolactone on the non-hairline/temple part of the scalp (not so much the dose as you kindly stated). But I understand now it was not used there.

Great results and good of you to update it so much even though you don't even have to log in here any more. I'd definitely do the same if I get any success with my treatment. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

One question, what 2 in 1 head & shoulders is it that you use? What's the exact name.

Thanks! Thats how I was back in 08. I got all my hair back, came back here and deleted everything, and just split! This time I'm here to stay.

Anyways, I get a different head and shoulders each time, but they all have the same active ingredient. The one I have now is the classic clean.

Outstanding story! I have learnt alot reading through your experiences over the years with your hair loss treatments.

I have been using 5% Minoxidil irregurally and with Nizoral 2% 3 times a week for the past couple of years.

I am still loosing hair from the temples and front but its at a very slow pace.

I am going to add Tricomin and S5 Cream to my routine shortly and see where that takes me! I am looking for sustainabiltiy and hopefully some regrowth like you have achived.

Does anyone have any idea where to get s5 cream from in the UK? or is there any alternatives at a 2% concentation rather than 5%?

I have come to terms with the fact that I will never regrow 100% of my hair. Maintaining and snail like recession is okay with me. I'm grateful for everyday past 22 that I have most of my hair.

I thought the site here will ship worldwide? There's also Dr. Lee's spironolactone.

Do you apply Nizoral 2% cream or you referring to the shampoo?

Inland, this has been an incredibly helpful thread. I just have a question. What Norwood were you say you were heading to before you started treatments? I seem to be heading towards the horeshoe overall bald look and am wondering if treatments such as S5, Tricomin, and Rogaine were effective in this case? Hope that makes sense to you. Thanks!

I was only NW2, but I had cow spot thinning in random spots. It was worst on the temples and center-front. I started to see overall thinning all over and decided I had to do something.

Good! Once it becomes part of your routine, you wont even think about it. Just a part of life :). I'm content with using this regimen for the rest of my life. At this rate, I'll at least make it through my 30s with hair :)

Re: Tried them all! finasteride, foam, Tricomin, prox, nizoral, spironolactone

Hi inland, I've been follOwing this thread since last year. About 6 months ago I have started using tricomin, minoxidil, and s5 cream. I believe that this combo has been slowing my hairloss down but more recently I've been losing a lot. I was thinking about starting 0.5 finasteride to regrow and eventually get off it once I have hopefully regrown a decent amount then get off the finasteride eventually one day and try to maintain just using the s5, tricomin, and minoxidil. Any thoughts on this? Im willing to take the sides for now to regrow because my hairloss is pretty bad without the use of conceilers. Thanks for always keeping us updated with your hair growth.

Have you ever taken finasteride before? If not, you should give it a shot. I normally don't recommend it, but you never know unless you try!

Re: Tried them all! finasteride, foam, Tricomin, prox, nizoral, spironolactone

never taken it before, I've been trying to fight hairloss for many years now. I went to see my dr. earlier this morning to to get a full blood work up and talk about a prescription. She mentioned she prescribed it to a couple other patients. I'm pretty sure that these 3 (s5, tricomin, and kirkland 5%)have have maintained and slowed hairloss but no regrowth for me. I'm having slow recession and overall thinning, but more and more noticeable reccently. I am just so thankful for concealers which i've been using for the past 3 years but more recently i've been using a larger amount. I just checked my bank statements, I first ordered s5, tricomin, and kirkland in early february. I'm not sure if wanna start 0.5 mg of propecia now....my temples and the back of my head just keep thinning...

Well good luck with whatever you do, and let us know! Track your progress and take pics! And FYI my avatar is a satellite image of southern lake michigan, which kinda resembles my hair line :)

Re: Tried them all! finasteride, foam, Tricomin, prox, nizoral, spironolactone

Hey inland, I'm supposed to pick up my prescription for propecia today, I've been doing the s5, tricomin, and minoxidil combo for 6 months now, come to think of it I have been able to maintain and lose hair very slowly with a slow recession, I cant imagine if I wasnt on theses 3. Goal is regrow and get off the finasteride eventually, and maintain with the 3, what is the time span of time to possibly regrow, until I can't get off the stuff. I read all your post religiously. You grew everything around the 6 month mark, and got off around the 2 year mark. If you knew about the s5 tricomin and minoxidil combo sooner would you have stopped sooner? Sorry if I'm sounding repetitive, I'm about to pick up my prescription in a couple of hours...my stomach is getting so uneasy thinking about...thanks for the support on the previous reply

Re: Tried them all! finasteride, foam, Tricomin, prox, nizoral, spironolactone

Well be careful because you will lose more hair from stress rather than the natural process! You should try it for 6 months, then evaluate, and adjust as necessary. If you are a good responder, and have no sides, you should stay on it. If you are like me, you will regrow and maintain without it. Like I said, give anything 6 months, and adjust as necessary.

Great story, I now know to watch out for similar circumstances from the finasteride that I'm taking. Kudos man
