I think people should know and accept that hot love is not forever. The relationship is going to evolve and it is only normal. Once you settle with someone you got to be aware of that. I hate that people now can not accept passion is not forever and leave for younger people, a flirt or a so called "coup de foudre"... All this illusion about passion and love is what destroyed family model. To me, if you are willing to settle and have a family you should not except passionate love but more like a best friend relationship (and that would be already great!!). Or just don't settle.

Actually, yes. I didn't want to say it out loud, but many people I know hate French people in general.

I don't think it's "hate hate". It's more like "ok, so the French have contempt for anyone who doesn't speak French fluently, and I don't want to feel like a worthless cockroach, so, screw those guys, no France for me".

The best thing about being a man must be not having to swallow agepill, at least not until much later. I've been watching a lot of vintage movies lately and a strong trend I see are VERY young (like teens) girls in leading lady and a much older man (40's-50's) as leading man. From long ago it has been imprinted in our minds that females are supposed to be young and beautiful but men can grow older without much fuss. FML FML FML
