Wounds close very fast and the 1600 includes overlapping wounds.Did anyone ever discuss the needle diameter?
Maybe I'm wrong but we shouldn't be able to achieve 1600 wounds per cm², like follica, with existing devices.
A cm² offers the space of 100mm - If we take the Derminator2 which got a needle diameter of .15mm we can reach max. ~666 single wounds. So the needle diameter of follica's device would be max. around .06mm if the holes should be separately
edit: Just posted it in Follica Microneedling Protocol Patent Disclosed | Page 52 | HairLossTalk Forums
The fast closing is a point I'm also thinking about. And if overlapping isnt a big deal it's not that complicated at all.Wounds close very fast and the 1600 includes overlapping wounds.
I found her clinic in India. It's in my city. Maybe I should consult her and get microneedling treatment from her directlyOur friend Dr Rachita Dhurat (who did the two big microneedling studies, and is also involved with Follica and MinoxiBoost) has co-edited a chapter on microneedling in the book Techniques in the Evaluation and Management of Hair Diseases.
She says that doing it weekly, at 1.5mm (dermaroller), is the best protocol.
I found the chapter online:
If I was living in your city I would definitely book a consultation with her and pick her brain about microneedling (and the SULT1A1 enzyme booster).I found her clinic in India. It's in my city. Maybe I should consult her and get microneedling treatment from her directly
I cannot believe this thread is 719 pages and still going.
My hair is still looking good but I had become a bit lazy with the whole needling routine. How are you holding up?
Needling hasn't been the solution I was hoping for, personally.

Evidence this a regimen that can work long term without the need of an AA.
There are somehow too many success stories circulating here that lead to an unswerving belief in microneedling. The hype is over. I would have liked to believe in it too. Some people with a more aggressive Androgenetic Alopecia may read this and come up with the wrong conclusion that it will work for them too.
Only 2% with sides on finasteride? I would bet it‘s more.Unless you are part of the 2% of the Androgenetic Alopecia population with sides on Fina, I wouldn't advice anyone to waste two years of their hair life by only doing MC and minoxidil without any AA. We don't know the long term aspect of wounding a scalp and we also know that minoxidil is not going to save you forever. When you hit the barrier, it's a brutal experience.
Do you have a pointers to scientific studies showing different stats or is this something you just pulled out of thin air?Only 2% with sides on finasteride? I would bet it‘s more.
Yes:Do you have a pointers to scientific studies showing different stats or is this something you just pulled out of thin air?
What is more effictive the roller or the pen?It is likely I will do a disappearing act again and I'm not sure why I logged in again, anyway, but if anyone wants the link to my original album, here it is:
