For dermapen users, do they work better with longer thicker hair than a dermaroller does? I've just started on the roller and it's hard to get it over the head without it tangling in the hair.
Try it with wet hair. If it still is an issue. You'll have to comb part your hair our of the way for each section.

I'm going to buy the Derminator next month. Wanna see if I can regrow anything on my hairline. Been essentially stabilized now since I started nearly seven years.

Do you need replacement cartridges for the derminator? If so, can anyone find them on this website?

https://owndoc.shop/Dermaneedling/Derminator digital needling device/Derminator 2/DERMINATOR 2 digi-needler (UK plug)/

Or does this specific device not need replacements? I'm so confused.
I'd also like to know this.

Also, why is this thing so popular in this forums all of a sudden? Assuming that guy and his pics are legit (which seems to be the case), then how come there are not many success stories here? Is he one of those "one in a thousand" case? One of the very few hyper responders to this method? Is there actually any kind of improvement statistics for this thing like the ones we got for stuff such as finasteride?
So many questions.... This is arguably the most drastic example of regrowth I've seen so this deserves to be massively tested.

Yeah you need extra cartridges, if I remember correctly it comes with 1 of each type (1, 9, and12 needles). Here's a link, https://owndoc.shop/Dermaneedling/Derminator digital needling device/Derminator 2/ .

Buy some 9 and 12 needle which is what you would use on your hair (I use 12 needle). I would suggest buying at least 5 extra cartridges so that you don't have to worry about it for a long time. Some cartridges I've broke after a few uses, and some last 6 months.

Na, lots of success cases with good quality pics or credible testimonies and solid clinical studies backing dermarolling and minoxidil.

According to the well known indian study and a most recent one done by a chinese hospital university you could expect between 40-70 hair per cm2.

I will post the links to those studies with some data this week. Also will try to include pics from other good responders.

Dermaneedling definitely works (theres studies, search the forum) and from what I've used, derminator is more than worth the price. Plus once you buy it you only have to get some cartridges every now and then. The manual stamps/rollers are not even close to as good. Never used a dermapen.

Sweet. Thank you. Are cartridges a one time use generally?

Just as I was about to reply, I saw this from the website.

"Cartridges should ideally NOT be reused but can be reused on only the SAME patient after disinfection with Ethanol or Chloramine-T according to our instructions. Do not use Dettol - it contains Chloroxylenol, which can dislodge the needles".

So change the cartridge after each use (7-10 days) to be on the safe side. I'm actually buzzing about this. Can't wait to try it.

I might post baseline pics and then monthly pics thereafter. It's been a while since I posted here regularly though.

How often do you need to replace the 0.5mm roller if you use it daily ya think?

Also after how many sessions/months should you change the 1.5mm one?

Btw I'll probably go with the 0.5 mm every other day instead and give the skin a little time to heal.

Interesting thread from a few years ago with pics of results

https://www.baldtruthtaIk.com/threads/14317-Dermarolling-RESULTS-*ONLY*-Thread

I don't know why the link doesn't work. Just google it instead.
Some of the results on that thread are insane. Like comparable to a year on finasteride in only 4 or so months
I’m just wondering why the f*** this isn’t talked about / done more. I mean the photo evidence is there, and it seems like the ones who wound more thoroughly get the best results

You already hear people who don't even want to try minoxidil because they think it's too much work. Most likely there are very few out there who are actually doing both. And I bet a lot of those quit because they probably expect results in a couple of months like the study, but everyone is different. I think you just need to stick with it for a long time and eventually you'll see progress.

If you can afford it, a more disciplined, regular, safer approach might be available through a local micro-needling clinic. Even throw some PRP in there. They are everywhere - primarily for women skin issues.

Using the cartridge only once will get very expensive.. I’ll mix some hand sanitizer with saline and clean it with that.. get a good 6 months out of one lol

I think I got a little excited. I just ordered an augland dermaroller off amazon just to test. The thought of splashing 200 quid on a device that may not work is not something im willing to do. So if i see even minimal results with the roller, ill most def be buying the derminator.

That's a reasonable approach and just what I'm doing. ;-)

Do you also notice how minoxidil kicks in when you apply it the first time after 24hr ? My blood circulation in the head goes crazy (since already the circulation is up due to the wounds being healed). I guess this stuff still penetrates crazy even after waiting 24hrs ..

I honestly am not sure now if I should use the 0.5 mm roller. I know they say you should use it daily for better minoxidil penetration, but that can't be good right? Let's say you roll with the 1.5mm one and wait 24 hours. Then after that you use the 0.5 mm again with the minoxidil, but the wounds would still be open and healing right? Not sure how long it takes to heal.
