What kind of guns do you wish you owned?

Why not do a S&W686? I would like a Python as well but every gun show/gun shop/gun seller I have seen seem to think that even if it's in terrible shape, you should pay about as much as a new Colt in some cases. :thumbdown2:

Then again, it is Colt and besides I love my Grandpa's M1911A1 but I have been thinking of getting a Colt XSE Government model due to it having ambidextrous safeties (nice for a southpaw like me). :woot:

Excellent choice Obsidian IMHO.

Also, I have shot the XSE and it is a great pistol.

I like revolver guns better than clip guns. Depends on the clip though. M16 clips are easy to load. I was firing some 9mm that held 10 rounds, and could only get 7 in. Too hard. I could have pressed harder, but I was scared to death one might blow up in my hands. Revolvers are so easy to load. And they have dual action ones that are semi-auto.

I wish the trigger was behind the revolver instead of under it, that way the back lash would not have as much torque to pull the muzzle up. But that would mean making the gun 2 inches longer. I want a longer barrel so it is somewhat accurate, but not too big so it can be consealed.

Firing an M16 again would be fun. But I think I'd bore of stationary targets. $1000 is a lot of money for a gun I may never need, and really really hope we all never need. Boy is it good at long range though. A handgun can't compete. I've fired handguns. After about 25 feet the accuracy decreases.

I would not be surprised if a high school murderer wears a bullet proof vest. Those are illegal though. I'm really starting to think some kind of directional, 30 foot range pepper spray would really be my best defense over a gun. If they made pepperspray that did not get all over the place, but as as accurate as a sawed off shot gun and good for at least 20 feet, with at least 6 rounds, I'd get that.

Back in the days of the founding fathers, a gun was really a gun. It allowed the citizenry to stay free. Now it is questionable if guns would keep us free. I think they could still deter an occupying force, and get them to go away, if their intent was to occupy and not to kill everyone.

I'm against guns in DC or near state capital buildings, perhaps, unless the legislatures feel safer around armed citizens.

The thing I don't like about tazers is they don't work on leather jackets, and you can only taze one person. If there are two attackers, you are in trouble. But for self defense in your house, a gun may not be the best option. I still think it is good to have one as an option, just not the one you grab first when investigating sounds.

Can I buy night vision goggles? Not heat seaking ones either. But delta force, in color ones so that if I hear a sound I just put them on and to me it is like the lights are on? I wonder if crooks already have these. If they do, my pepper spray might not work on them.

Tazer for in the house, pepperspray in class. A hand gun locked up in the house, and locked up in the car. Voice recorder, digital cameral with recording, plastic bags for evidence, night vision goggles. Yep.

A gun is also good if you are out hiking and attacked by a mountain lion. A leather neck is good too.

I want a rail gun from MGS4.

No kidding....that gun is awesome.

And what an incredible game! You finished it?

This game is quite possibly perfect. The acting is top notch, cut scenes rival hollywoods best, gameplay a sheer pleasure, weapons customizing, taking part in battles. And a touch of genius when they allowed us to play the Shadows Moses level from MGS1, had such a nice nostalgic feeling I delayed finishing that bit.

And a good ending. Good old fist fight :)

Anyway I really hope Hideo Kojima-San isn't finished.

not really. Gun lovin' Aussies are on the margins (of sanity)-

Probably not the *best* thing to say when one of your main campaign promises is to allow widespread gun ownership.....

Humble proposition: a gun is mainly a phallic symbol, which explains its wild popularity in the US.

Discuss.
