Lol whoops. Sorry admin and mods. I was out last night, had an okay time, but let me tell you there was not a moment when I wasn't clocking people's hair, comparing and studying. Prisoner under my hat. Contemplating a bald future. So yeah, wondering why transplant cannot help me. I don't want to wait. I need this to be over, lol! I know I'm older and I should accept it but I can't. It truly is a matter of identity and as I said in my drunken screed, and as buckthorn alluded to, there is something fucked up about hair loss. It indicates there is a general malaise in the body or some sh*t. In no way should it be that "welp, men lose their hair...." Anyway, sorry for rambling. I identify with antydhtor, this should be a war. I really wish that an education campaign for hair loss sufferers could be under taken. HIV/AIDS is now a chronic illness, because people mobilized and addressed it. President Trump should be able to empathize. Pres. Kennedy set the goal of moon exploration, let's have a goal of TOTAL hair loss cure for ALL by 2020. It sounds trivial but its not. Quality of life would be improved by leaps and bounds for so many.

Can I ask why hair transplantation is not being recommended so much for me? Is it because of the Norwood 6 pattern? Shock loss? This is usually a pretty pro-transplant board so I'm just wondering. Is it that I'm not a good candidate or that its "too soon" in terms of the amount of hair I still have?

Why would a transplant "ruin" my appearance?

Did anyone answer you?

Poor guy lol you started the thread with a legitimate problem

I am for myself as a woman afraid of shock loss because I have a good donor area I am defuse on crown and the defuse pattern (the little i researched so take it with a grain of salt) creates more potential with shock loss.
For the women who have hair transplant it seems very likely too be worse off then before surgery 1 year pos op.
these bi-otches rarely update information so it it is hard for me to get any further information they all seem to be out 10 grand and have to go get wigs on top of it. Joy.

I am NOT sure this is what happens to defuse men...I hope someone comes and gives you answers.

Even the best looking guys like Johnson are clearly nervous wrecks

And lmao at that like from Dante92, the guy who can't stop telling us he looks like a corpse

Yeah, we're all fine around here :)
Being a nervous wreck and having BDD are two separate issues. Yeah most of us are wrecks around here, some more than others. But we're definitely not all imagining problems we don't have.

BDD - An obsessive preoccupation that some aspect of one's own appearance is severely flawed and warrants exceptional measures to hide or fix it.

She is 24 years old woman and has to wear a hair piece

Your kind of being a dick to prove your dumb point.

Sorry @EvilLocks I know you can handle yourself but this actually just made me really upset.

With BDD this obsessive preoccupation is usually on a perceived/imagined flaw though. Certainly for guys who are NW1-2 who are losing their sh*t its BDD, but a lot of people have extensive hairloss which has a very real impact on their appearance and quality of life.

Posters like xander are BDD and I'm pretty sure doctor house is self confessed BDD, but the majority of posters here are men in their 20s who are noticeably balding.

To me their concerns about their hair is completely justified.

And for a woman its probably even worse.

The national health service don't mention imaginary but I think BDD is quite a broad thing and my initial point is many people on this forum are willing to hurt themselves over their image. Others are less extreme but still obsessive. We wouldn't be here otherwise.

No one is a bully, you are not some weakling, you dish out your opinions pretty hard to now cry 'bullies'

You are being beyond insensitive and insulting people with legitimate disfiguring problems that is noticeable by all of society not in imaginations.

and those who have hair loss that it looks okay right now are living in a constant state of uncertainty which is very reasonable because they are in process of losing hair and becoming disfigured.

I wouldn't call it bullying but I've seen some blue pilled new comers get flamed to death when they first arrive.

I wish they were a little more kind just so we got some more opinions that extended beyond lookism.

I get what you are trying to say but you are not using the term properly here.

Its not like someone thinking their thighs are too big because they dont have a gap.

the hair is falling out of our heads.

Some much worse than others of course.

But its not imaginary or over inflated in our eyes because EVEN if yo have mild hair loss--you may know what is coming in a year and a lot of us are trying various methods to stop it..and in doing so we talk to each other.
