What? RCH-01 phase 1 was NOT designed for density but for SAFETY only. That's why "limited growth" was observed. Phase 2 results will show how effective it can be (besides maintenance which we already know).
Yeah.
But just because the test was "for" something doesn't mean it won't do the other thing though.
You can't test a chocolate "only for taste" and say that you won't get any calories from it.

That arguments falls flat if they changed the treatment of course.

You believe that cultured cell injections will provide regrowth? We are not that far into stem cell research on baldness... Hell if someone manages to pull it through it would be due to age reversal research and not baldness. Tsuji is the only one doing advanced stem cell research on baldness and he is aimming to clone follicles not regrow them

They did change the protocol. They are now testing with multiple smaller doses..

Well.. they said that many follicles are dormant (not producing visible hair), because their lack one population of cells (the ones they're injecting ). So they theorize the treatment will bring those back to life and thus providing "regrowth".

They will provide the results later this year. So fingers crossed.

Ps. This is the treatment i believe the most, personally. Just to think Shiseido bought it and invested in new buildings to research and culture cells. . Tells me they're on something. .

Yup... that's the same reason I am hopeful too. When such a large Corporation is backing it, I guess it must be worth it's salt.
However, the company that conceived the treatment, Replicel, is a wholly different story.

Well, where are all the RCH-01 cheerleaders?
While those of us who are watching out for it are waiting for Phase 2 trial results, and so not much point posting... how come all the cheerleaders have gone missing?

Not a post in over a month? That concerns me a wee bit.
Has there been an update/announcement I missed?

The cheerleaders are in the Italian hair lotion thread. Once that’s forgotten in a year or two, they’ll find another fish oil research claiming it’s true bcs blah blah.

As per Shiseido website, their three year plan (2018-2020) includes “new value creation through innovation” consisting of hair and skin regeneration, among other things.

Seems encouraging that they believe they will be generating revenue from this in the next few years.

Wasn't Shiseido even developing a hair maintenance/regrowth product on his own?

Of course they will, snake oil generated millions for years why a cell-based therapy wouldn't ?

LOL at "new value creation through innovation".

these companies invest more effort in bullshitting and creating piles of "annual reports" and similar docs than in development of an actual product.

I don’t see where the negativity comes from, it seems plausible that this could provide maintenance of current hair. I’m not a big believer in regrowth but maintenance from this would be a big step forward.

Theyve been running a trial for the past two years and now they're indicating that the commercialisation of that product is part of their future plans. So gotta ask, whats with the bitterness broski?

shiseido have to be by far the biggest company with the most financial backing out of all the possible future treatments right?

So they have very little to lose as a huge successful company

Failing at finding a cure for hairloss is like failing to find a cure for Aids. There’s nothing out now, so you’ll get a “thanks for trying” in the event of a failure. If you succeed, well you get even more $

Japan is also perfecting Histogen's gene technique.

It's only a matter of time before Japan LEADS in the war against androgen alopecia hairloss industry.
