The sexless marriage is not a myth, I'm not saying it's completely prevalent but I've known too many guys who get married and suddenly everything dries up. There's a few extreme cases where it's really bad- I'd say just once a week should be an issue but that appears common, I've known others where once a month or even like every 6 months is no surprise, and even sexless marriages aren't completely rare.

Even a relationship somewhat dries up after the initial f*****g like rabbits stage, maybe after a few weeks to a few months, it starts to get plain anti-social. I think people expect a new couple to spend a lot of times indoors in privacy initially, but when it gets to a point where it's ALL you do, your friends are no longer understanding. Adjusting to this in a relationship can be confusing as it's hard to know if you're insulting your partner by holding off on as much sex (well let's be honest, it's always going to be the female who slows things down) but from there you need to figure out what's acceptable, staying up until 3am most nights means an awful work life, etc.

Anyway, if every wife was guaranteed to have your attitude Joan I'd literally be married years ago.

My attitude is what it is because my husband is the absolute best. It's the truth. I'm the way I am because of how he treats me every day of my life. I will agree that sex becomes less frequent when you have kids, especially when babies don't sleep. That's not forever, though. And yes, the lustful feelings in the beginning of a relationship aren't as intense as the years pass, but that doesn't mean intimacy has to be any less enjoyable, fulfilling and fun. Communication--and I mean truly listening to one another and deeply considering one another's feelings--goes a long way in keeping a relationship solid. I doubt anyone could tolerate some of my issues for as long as my husband has, but I am a work in progress, so I do make an effort to be a better person, both for him and for myself. Nothing is guaranteed forever, though, even your own attitudes, h.l Marriage for everyone is a chance.

Not all men, but I'm sure a great many do. They should either stay single or have open relationships, where they would tolerate their women being with other men if they so desire. Whatever works. I don't judge.

Well written and sounds like a great thing you have going. But I wasn't saying I'm against the idea, just that I'm putting it off, partly for superficial reasons like taking that "chance", also because while I may have decided to get married in the past, upon reflection I'm pretty sure it was a bad time for me as a person, or the other person probably wasn't right for me (even if it felt like it).

I'm coming up to 30, I'm not scared about entering my 30's as single having recently ended a short relationship (well, pretty much), but 35 may feel like a different story if I haven't found a long-term partner by then. I don't even know if marriage is an institution that I'd really need, but being committed to a partner would be solidified by having a child, which is something I can imagine.

Oh the alert of your Like reminded me I forgot to mention something in my previous post.

I mean this is hugely significant for a lot of "theory" on here, and actually made me think a LOT about my previous anecdotes about knowing guys who don't get laid after marriage. A lot of this is making sense- these guys might be good friends, decent people in many ways, but when it comes to their relationships you've made me realise a trend which is very unhealthy in a long-term relationship and the worst thing for a marriage: once they feel they've "captured" a woman's interest, that is the "conquering" of said woman.

And the significance? You can't fake love, it's 24 hours a day, you can't pretend to be the perfect guy for someone you feel you've conquered and are basically, in some subconscious way, sick of. CaptainForehead's post about men needing a constant string of new sexual experiences to get off is incorporated into this, it's certainly not every man but some significant number just get married for the hell of it, to settle down as they know their prime and time is running out, and that's really not a great attitude to have if you're entering the biggest commitment of your life.

I would like to believe I am capable of loving someone in the same way you have expressed your husband loves you. I know even in relationships where I wasn't completely sure on my other half, I would never express this and gave it my best shot in terms of showing them the attention every person deserves as a human being.

i dont know a lot yet about hair loss treatments But skincare i do know..

everyone is different but i have good response with a pure vitamin C serum in day and retinol serum at night.

I use Drunk Elephant vitamin C and Peter Thomas Roth 1.5% retinol..I don't need moisturizer with these two my face sort of self hydrates now...also love a pumpkin mask by Peter thomas roth i use like 1 or 2x a week it exfoliates but does not dry me out.

also getting facials is good it keep pores small if you start doing it young--just be wary of then selling you stuff...been getting them since 25 about 1x a month--been slacking on it past few years but i think the stuff i am using is exfoliating.

I was told skin starts to age at 25. something to do with colagen production. If you have oily skin young this is actually GOOD for aging just keep on top of it with a good facials and be wary of products that have fragrance or other stuff in them...sometimes can have fantastic ingredient and they mess it up with additives or poor packaging.

if you like to research products they have on Paulas Choice an encyclopedia of various products and break down chemically which ones work best for price etc.

if you want to try and return Sephora at least in USA has a good return policy if something does not work out for you.

What does vitamin C do? Don't we already get vitamin C from our diet?

What's the point of a facial? Do you mean crushing an avocado, putting on my face, and then lounging for 30 minutes? Does that count as a facial?

An old trick in the steroid community is taking very high does of vitamin b5


Aside from that, accutane is the only sh*t that helped clear my acne. I am on month two and the medication is starting to take full effect. The sides appear right away, and your acne does I get worst initially. It takes month half on average before the acne starts to go away.



I am happy with the results so far at 7-8 weeks in. A lot of side effects though
