I started shedding during the second-third week, obviously due to minoxidil. We are discussing 600++ hairs daily after patting my head over the sink. It was hilarious. It was mostly weaker-blonder shafts from the male pattern baldness cursed areas.

If you have that thick coarse black hair, it really seems to respond to finasteride and minoxidil way better. Awesome results

my hairloss was similar to you 1.5 years ago.. wish i had done something back then but didnt know that i could...

now my hair is thin all over but started big 3 (2 months)...

hope i can post a success story too!

Hello to all and thanks for posting.

My regimen is still the same:

1/5 of a proscar pill daily
5% minoxidil once or twice daily
Nizoral 2% twice a week
Still doing those scalp excersises too.

I wear my hair long these days and growing it even longer.
scalp image has not degraded i think, hairline has stayed put.

In general i have experienced a great recovery with no degrading results (yet).
Just a line for all those doom-shed prophets: I have been through sheds this whole time since the beginning.
Shedding does not equal losing hair.

Oh and i have hit 30. :freak:

What does the T & Sal stand for?

T/Sal is the name a neutrogena shampoo used to have. It contains Salicylic acid an exfoliating agent possibly increasing the absorbtion of topicals. Not sure if it is sold with that name anymore.

30 aint so bad, esp if u have a head of hair like that!

above: I just make sure there is a layer of minoxidil (liquid- havent used foam so far) covering the problematic areas, I do not massage it as i think that makes more minoxidil stick to shafts and fingertips instead of just sitting there to be absorbed.

I used to shampoo everyday(with pregaine and nizoral), I guess i shampoo every 2 or 3 days now. That means that some minoxidil applications go over the leftovers from the last one. yuk what a hippie!

I've been scalp exercisin' since November and seen poo all in the way of results, just some forehead wrinkles and an increased scalp laxity.

Congrats on your success SE-Freak. I hope it's contagious.

when i overdo it in terms of quantity with minoxidil, i do see some irritation but that has become rare a good moisturizer or some olive oil can do the trick though.

You should post your before pics next to those....You have absolutely zero hair loss problems, I would kill for that hair line. Great work.....
