if you look for it you can find many RU sources
whats the % of grain alcohol? becausei oly find 90% alcohol around

irish pride you use everclear with RU and you mix something else, what is it ? or you just dissolve the RU in everclear ?

You use RU with BOTH everclear and PG. Can you say how is this mix done, i have no clue about chemistry and all that. you dissolve in both but in which ratio ?

I was about to order but have to find out this before. hope to get your opinion on this soon.

Surprised I havent been seeing as many RU posts on this forum the last few days. It would appear I'm one of the lucky ones who's received RU from FE's march batch. In case you were wondering, it's off white, with the paint-like smell that Irish mentioned. I'm just mixing with Everclear for now, crossing my fingers that I'll see some density added back to my hair.

Irish, how are you going to rotate the batches? the 2 you got from Kouting and this batch from FE? As far as I can tell, there's been no issues with disolving the FE batch. I'm just on day 4 now, shedding is minimal. Not sure when I would expect any noticable thickening to occur. Any idea?

Does the RU dissolve into a clear solution 5minabs? Or is it hazy/foggy with particles floating in it?

I've just read the entire thread. Thanks to El_Dut and the others who've been on here offering advice.

I've decided that I'm going to proceed and order RU in a month, to see if it works. I may try fluridil sooner than that, since the cost isn't so high in small volume (I need my end of April paycheque in before I can consider RU).

If this goes to plan my regimen will be:
- Fluridil
- RU
- Minoxidil
- Nizoral

I'll probably mix and match - eucapil in the morning and RU in the evening, or vice-versa. If they work together, I'll combine those with minoxidil. If they don't, I may drop minoxidil - it's never done much for me anyway. Nizoral I will probably keep at 2/3 times a week.

I expect this regimen will cost something in the order of $1200 a year. That's expensive, but if it works it'd be a price I'm willing to pay.

My eventual goal would be to get maintenance on a topical, side-effect free regimen. If I maintain I will still be in NW3/4 land, but I'll have the option of getting a hair transplant without the fear of the back falling out.

Finasteride is out of the question since I've already given it two trials, and while it's succeeded I've always had side effects - even at low dose.

For those who've already begun on RU, keep us posted on how things are going. Once I get round to ordering mine, I'll post what happens here too.

blaze, its definitely foggy, but you don't see floating particles. i have a hard time believing any RU dissolves into a completely clear mixture when combined with everclear, ppg, etc. The lower the RU concentration, the more clear it will be. Im using roughly 40mg with 3 mL of everclear for my whole scalp(i buzz my head so i dont need as much).

Good to hear from you. How far are you in your progress with obtaining RU? I'm hoping to order approx a month from now and am also UK based, so it might be handy to keep tabs on each other's progress.

I am using it but still too early. I like my fluridil but it won't save my hair, maybe slow down shedding.
