nop, obviously real life people in the street are bald(ing)

but if one of those male pattern baldness sufferes was to be on tv being a weather man he'd have to wear a hairpiece becuase his bald(ing) self is too controversal to show to the nation on a daily basis.

its ultimately NOT acceptable to be bald(ing) heavily and be in the public eye.

Things must be different in the US and UK vs for example Scandinavia. Lots of baldies here are in TV and in "public eye", and no, no hairpieces.

It's not the same in the UK, IMO. Whatever is here is most likely coming from the US, e.g. there are a load of US TV shows shown here (aimed at the younger, feeble minded individuals). And yes it's true, you rarely/if ever see a bald person on these US shows.

Also lately the $$$ potential from hair loss 'treatments' seems to be slowly creeping in to people's minds, e.g. Regaine adverts, hair transplants on TV, etc. Greed and ruthlessness. Build up the insecurities & then pray on them.

There are a lot of very well respected 'baldies' on UK TV, from the talented, to the very intelligent.

There are of course a lot of people who make a joke of baldness (or bullies, racists, etc.) too but why even care what an idiot thinks? The reason they must be doing it is due to their own insecurities (e.g. their intelligence or own appearance).

no they are people bald on the news

but that is when they are interviewing real life people , who so happen to be bald.

i dont think a weather man has been bald before...or balding.

so the general staff are almost never bald(ing), so its not jsut shows, movies, its also on general tv braodcasts.

VIENS-The crux is there isn't many intelligent, normal people around(certainly not in my strange, twisted world).

HPM-You seem obsessed upon this notion that by being a "badass" bald man,you are treated as "normal" by society because one has physical presence.Take it from this "badass" bald guy(who has mentioned that they look like stone-cold),that you get even more flack for being bald,NOT more respect.

its not about male respect

its about fitting into a stereotype that compliments sly baldness, if you FIT into the BIG BAD GUY steretype then people look at you and say "this makes sense"

but when people look at me withotu hair they think "this young white boy is missing his hair!"

beuase socialy it makes no sense for me to have no hair, i would never do this, but YOU fit into baldness becuase you are this big bald guy (i am guessing).

Yes I fit into baldness as this big, bad, bald guy as you put it.However you seem too think this is seen in a positive light by people. As a man of experience in such matters,I am telling you it is NOT.Small-minded men constantly want too test me out,middle-class people look down on me,the only women I attract are single mothers, slappers, milfs, and normal, everyday people tend too cross the road and avoid me.
The other day a bloke at work said too me "you look like a challenge"... :jackit:

I totally get where you guys are coming from and you are of course all right. There is nothing that I can say to help or change the whole of society. Things are definitely a mess, still very primitive in evolutionary terms.

You guys, the thing is that you are who you are. You are all unique, no matter what you look like. All I can say is just be yourselves and don't worry about what others think. Let your qualities shine through. I can already see some of your qualities on here. Have an open mind to every situation. Try to look at every step as a lesson.

Lastly look at this:

i dont buy the whole "we are all unique" bs when it comes to genetic hairloss

chucking baldness in with unique facial symetry, or height or being ginger or something is rubbish

fact is we are not MEANT to have hairloss, its not NORMAL, i dont care how common-ish it is in white guys to be balding in 20s/30s, 60s etc, its totally not natural to have male pattern baldness.

and thats on a young face (20-40), or middle aged face (55), or a very old face liek 90, its just that at 90 you have soo much crap on your face you might as well be balding.

we all look wierd with it, al pachino wears wigs but he WOULD look wierd with a horendous balding patttern, if he was black the constrast would be much much less, black guys with bald spots aren't even noticable, the contrast is nothing, they are barely affected, but some white guy with dark hair at 21 with a bald spot its like the endof the world and you dont knwo wtf is going to happen in the next few years, it certainly wont be NORMAL, and to chuck it in with "i know guys who are ginger, or dont look asthetically nice in the face" its just not the same.

its not where near the same "we are uniqe" what a load a rubbish, we will cure this sh*t in 50 years time and peopel will forget the odd white guy that turned to sh*t in his 20s or 30s etc. and the more common age groups 40s 50s etc.

yea i have to agree with HPM to be honest, especially at our ages, it is socially weird to be sly.

i mean its like if you saw a peacock without its long, glorious, feathers. essentially its the same thing, because hair is a sign of youth, vitality, and sexual power (at least in evolutionary terms).

hmmm i'm trying to think of what would be the closest natural equivalent to hair loss. As in an animal species that has something going on similar to hair loss. i can't think of any atm tho
i mean no matter how successful you get at life, no matter how hard you work out, you will STILL be considered the "bald guy".

:shakehead:

yes, that is why its really stupid in society for a young balding guy to roll up in a flashy car but the guy is horoendously balding, its like a big social clash, honeslty any young guy wiht a full head of hair driving a rubbish car has higher social status than the balding 20 something with a ferari.

YOUR STILL LOSING YOUR HAIR PRE-MATURELY.

and you will always be viewed "lower than" other people and what you are isnt normal/natural unless you in the old folks home.

its kinda like being 5 2 or something, people just arent expecting you to be balding at 20-30

Its a shame the medical fraternity can't test every baby born too see for the male pattern baldness gene.Todays society could then go back too the spartan days,of any baby born weak, deformed, infirm, and predetermined for hairloss will be disposed of.Save us all aload of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual heart-ache.

What the hell? How can you say that we're not meant to have hairloss? If there's a gene that causes hairloss and is so widely spread, we sure as hell are meant to have hairloss. I can't see how you're thinking here anyways, so please do elaborate.

E: Whether we're meant to have hairloss or not doesn't make any difference. It still sucks.

C.Forehead-I am just under 6ft 3,103k body weight. Most of it is muscle, although I am more built like a rower than a bodybuilder.Used too be more muscular when I was competing in powerlifting.I was 18st,but was carrying more fat as well.
I am a good size, but not massive by any means, but obviously compared too the average guy, coupled with the way I look,I am deemed big. Most call me big Seb(usuallly with a smirk on their face),but I find it condesending, and constantly ask people too just call me Seb.Call me paraniod, but these people are really calling me a c**t,but haven't the minerals too come out with it in simple terms.

Yesterday I saw an old guy(about 70 maybe). He was bald with no horseshoe... well he had it but with maybe like 10% original density. What Norwood was that? :dunno:

Man, I dont get you guys (you and UM). I would love to be called "big" whatever. You guys want to be just one in the crowd.
Have you seen Human Target? The pilot starts with the following voiceover:

"Blending in...You have no idea what
it’s like, always blending in... You
forget who you are. Eventually, you
start to forget who you ever were...
They push you and push you further into
the margins. Treat you like dirt, take
away your manhood. Make you small..."

And yes, people may be condescending towards you, but thats just their insecurities. See, if you are equal to them in other respects, then overall they will inferior to you because of your size. Thus, to protect their sense of self worth, they MUST believe that since you are big, you MUST be inferior in other ways to balance it out. And since they cant figure out what these other things are, they just call you big seb.

If you try to be their equal, you will be considered inferior. The only resolution is that you must make clear your abilities, dress well, your intellect etc, ie, make yourself superior. THEN they will bow down.
