Do you want to have kids?

I wasn't referring to something fleeting or temporary. I work in health care so I'm bombarded with it every day, but people don't realize how common debilitating chronic health problems are. They're actually very very common. To see that and then see grown men whining and crying about hair loss (Norwood 3 in mid 30s... come on). It's pathetic. What a wonderful world he must live in. Life isn't perfect and, as you age, it will only get worse. It's like that for everyone.

If you dont like seeing people whine about hair loss why are you in here?
To me by comparing yourself and others to people with "chronic health problems" and still remaining in this impact area It just seems you are trying to build your own self esteem up. Sounds like you have some issues you may need to look into .

I'm going to think that this is the internet and you think my tone is that of a small whiny she man instead of a monotone discussion staying an opinion.

Well I definitely don't need any further convincing of how baldness has impacted your need for a dominant self-image. My point wasn't simply to annoy you, it was the point you keep side-stepping, you can't defend saying it's justified to feel our parents made a mistake having us because we ended up bald.

Instead you're still focussing on less relevant parts of what I wrote like how butt-hurt you are over being called high, so I thought I'd keep this post short and sweet to stop you wandering off in other directions that deviate conveniently away from my main point.

Yes.

You're not the only one though. It seems there are members on this board (me, Fred, UCMan) who have been put into a group by many of you who can't tell us apart.

It's NW6+ discrimination I say.

CF is not a hater, I will confess solely to you my dear friend, that surely I am the one. I hate Wolf for his wiley ways with women. (-:
Am I? You, Fred, UCman always hated on Wolf. At least I think, I am not too sure.

JSmith to be fair to CF, he has never said anything about my mod status on the forum. UCman is the main guy who can't stand me, way more than even the Belgian (love/hate relationship). I've always told UCman he can email the admin about me and that he should stay on the forum. I don't want to deprive someone of that even if they feel so strongly for some reason.

Although CF pointing out the grammar error was neither here nor there :)

ID - you have Joan's heart and a way with words :tellme:

I look and comment with respect to individual posts. I don't blindly agree or disagree with individuals.

I would rep postings of many of you more, but forum won't allow me.

Haha Thanx Wolf - who knows I might've become an infamous home wrecker if I had your body+ Norwood.

Joan I cherish your friendship. Most at HTL will agree that your presence here has changed us for the better..,

He's won my heart many times over.

And if could bottle your loving heart (and I'ld need a HUGE bottle), I know then we would have a cure for hair loss.

You are fine the way you are, I.D. How many of us here are oil paintings (certainly not me)? Even if I've made only one person feel better, I'm happy for that. You have made me smile more times than I can count.

Joan are you seeing any positive changes with your current regimen?
I seem to recall you are/were using spironolactone.?

I just started 25 mgs. of spironolactone a week ago, so it's too soon to tell. My BP tends to run normal to normal-low, so my internist wants to work up slowly to 200 mgs. The shedding is awful. I am not exaggerating when I say I shed 300 hairs when showering and styling alone, and that's not counting what falls out during the day (Wolf Pack has had the honor of seeing what's in my sink!). I hate the thought of taking a medication I do not need for the rest of my life, and some days I wonder which I hate more--that or the prospect of being a pretty much bald woman. Thank you for asking. xo (Thank you for repping me. I need to spread more around till I can rep you again.)

Good luck with the spironolactone, Joan. I hope it works better for you than it did for me. Just be aware that it will take between 6 months to a year to know if it's working or not, so be patient. Anyway if you can keep what hair you have now, you'll be fine :)

Thanks, EvilLocks. We'll see what happens and how well I tolerate the increased dosages. Have you ever tried finasteride?

I've been losing hair for three years, Hellouser. I had a biopsy over two years ago that revealed Androgenetic Alopecia. I posted a picture of my receding hairline on that BDD and hair loss thread, right along with the one you posted. Has your regimen helped you at all?

Oh man, that sucks. I haven't seen your photos. As for my regimen, it's incomplete, I'm waiting on PGE2, Lithium Chloride and Stemoxydine. Right now things are at a stand still.

You deserved it, but please never feel obligated to return the well warranted gesture. Maybe save it for the day I actually contribute something substantive to this forum (if that day ever comes haha).
I'll love you anyway. (-:

From your photos, it looks like you still have decent scalp coverage. It's funny how we'd settle for "just enough" hair to get by as our hair loss progresses--at least that's how I feel. I feel that way about my son too. If he takes after my late father, he'll always have some coverage, sparse as it will be. His temples are pretty far back, though. I will contribute to your GoFundMe account as soon as you set it up. You're like a pitbull with finding a cure, and I appreciate that.

I don't feel obligated at all. And there rarely is a day that you don't contribute something substantive. I mean that.
