Imagine if I commented on someone's skin colour or a woman's breasts. I'd be fired, yet I am fair game for ridicule cause I am bald. What to do...
Just be glad you are not bald and a woman...that's when things really start to suck. People magazine, take it for what you will, has had bald men voted sexiest man of the year. Not so much for bald women.

Within a gender neutral ideal, sex shouldn't matter but double standards in our society are a reality that must be acknowledged. As such truely bald women DO have it harder than men because the social expectation put on women is greater.

I can remember a rogaine ad someone posted on here once where 2 guys are staring at a seemingly attractive woman sat at a bar. They approach her and say hi, she turns round and has a NW4 hairline.
The voiceover says "What makes you think she finds it anymore attractive than you do"?

Nothing will help in a long run, finasteride? Maybe but it will also screw his body in a long run, all the hairloss products were made to delay hairloss as much as possible, you can't prevent it, if exudes a 18 years old man can delay his hairloss to at least 23 so he won't feel like a freak in collage then it's worth itslipy said:you're seeing some results now but rogaine alone isn't gonna help you much in the long run.

You forgot to mention the side effects that includes impotency, tities, and the fact that you need to take it all yourlifeBaldilox said:Rogaine isn't nearly as powerful in combatting male pattern baldness as finasteride, but I do think it has a legit efficacy. And you do see more "miracle" hairline regrowth cases with it.
However, especially if you are young (and/or you have a fairly strong attack of male pattern baldness that is just waiting to unleash it's full pattern on you), the only thing that will really hold the fort down over the years is finasteride.
Unless you are in a very small minority, if you get on finasteride early enough, you pretty much never have to be bald, and can have a nice head of hair for life if you're prepared/able to get one world-class hair transplant (assuming you've already taken some losses).
Rogaine + finasteride has a synergistic effect, too. I can't point to studies, but the anecdotal evidence is as strong as strong can get.
Obviously, you should stay in finasteride for a good 1yr+ before evaluating how well it works/doesn't work for you. But it's criminal some of the ppl on here stopped taking it like they did, especially the diffusers (the quais-thin OP of this thread, notably :dunno: )
Thats like claiming everyone who drives a car will be killed in a road accident.Beingbaldsucks said:[
