Anyone who thinks bald women can't be sexy needs to checkout natalie portman in V for Vendetta.

Anyone notice how it is fair game to make comments about someone being bald at work. I have been singled out for it many times at meetings. Imagine if I commented on someone's skin colour or a woman's breasts. I'd be fired, yet I am fair game for ridicule cause I am bald. What to do...

Just be glad you are not bald and a woman...that's when things really start to suck. People magazine, take it for what you will, has had bald men voted sexiest man of the year. Not so much for bald women. :)

pff the gender doesn't matter. were all humans. if anything the bald man has it worse. bald women can wear wigs without anyone judging them, people will be more tolerant. a bald guy isn't supposed to do that so he has no other option but to go with the flow, put up with the jokes and the ridicule and take it with a smile at the same time. what if i don't want to be the clown everyone loathes?

and whoever was voted in that poll probably pulls off the bald look a lot better than 99% of the bald population. were not in the same boat so this doesn't help us in any way.

Within a gender neutral ideal, sex shouldn't matter but double standards in our society are a reality that must be acknowledged. As such truely bald women DO have it harder than men because the social expectation put on women is greater.

i don't see a reason why a man would turn down a bald woman if she wears a wig and otherwise is attractive. at the same time i don't see the same scenario happening for a guy.

That might have more to do with the semantics of mating in general, ie. a guy is inclined to be less picky because he just wants to spread his seed while women look at every guy as the potential father of her children. But I think that there are exceptions to ^. I'm sure there are some women that are tolerant (maybe even prefer) their bald partner to wear. Just like I am sure that there are many guys who would run out the room when that otherwise attractive woman pulled her wig off.

...and I think that women with serious alopecia who feel like they have no other choice than to wear a wig still come under scrutiny and feel the stigma directed towards them regardless. If she was undergoing chemotherapy then everyone would understand her wearing a wig and even think her noble for NOT wearing a wig.... but as we all know, if it is a non life threatening, cosmetic genetically inherited trait then people aren't so supportive.

A bald guy in the room is just another bald guy he wont even get a second glance, a bald woman is a spectacle.

I can remember a rogaine ad someone posted on here once where 2 guys are staring at a seemingly attractive woman sat at a bar. They approach her and say hi, she turns round and has a NW4 hairline.
The voiceover says "What makes you think she finds it anymore attractive than you do"?

I remember that commercial. Women don't nearly bald as often as men do which is still a minority, so anything that is rare is considered bizarre. But the point of the commercial runs contrary to that message... That a bald guy in the room is not just another bald guy in the room, that just because something is more common doesn't automatically make it acceptable.

what makes it even more annoying is the fact that their Rogain is worthless for the most part. if you're gonna spread a demeaning message then at least put out a effective product.

In all honesty I don't think you can take hairloss product advertising slogans as the common social truth, look at that bullshit shampoo Regenepure, they have a nasty and aggressive marketing campaign online too, but the stuff is completely useless, they'll tell you absolutely anything if it means getting your $$$$

you're seeing some results now but rogaine alone isn't gonna help you much in the long run.

Nothing will help in a long run, finasteride? Maybe but it will also screw his body in a long run, all the hairloss products were made to delay hairloss as much as possible, you can't prevent it, if exudes a 18 years old man can delay his hairloss to at least 23 so he won't feel like a freak in collage then it's worth it

Re: How the f*ck can anyone cope with this sh*t?!

Rogaine isn't nearly as powerful in combatting male pattern baldness as finasteride, but I do think it has a legit efficacy. And you do see more "miracle" hairline regrowth cases with it.

However, especially if you are young (and/or you have a fairly strong attack of male pattern baldness that is just waiting to unleash it's full pattern on you), the only thing that will really hold the fort down over the years is finasteride.

Unless you are in a very small minority, if you get on finasteride early enough, you pretty much never have to be bald, and can have a nice head of hair for life if you're prepared/able to get one world-class hair transplant (assuming you've already taken some losses).

Rogaine + finasteride has a synergistic effect, too. I can't point to studies, but the anecdotal evidence is as strong as strong can get.

Obviously, you should stay in finasteride for a good 1yr+ before evaluating how well it works/doesn't work for you. But it's criminal some of the ppl on here stopped taking it like they did, especially the diffusers (the quais-thin OP of this thread, notably :dunno: )

Where are your pics, troll? You're calling me out in almost every single post yet you haven't proven your baldness in any way. So, post some pics or gtfo.

Here's your "quasi-thin":

And no, I don't want to turn every thread into a picfest, but I guess I have to since so many idiots keep calling me out.
