On a sidenote: Try to ask that question on a forum: My gf gained 25 pound and im crying hysterically everytime i see her naked.
First of all , I am not fat at all.
Secondly, I am just telling you all the women are not the same and some may get fat whether they exercise or not!
I mean surely it's impossible to get fat so long as you keep your calories out as much than your calories in?
Like physically it's impossible, I would have thought.
It depends. It can be very difficult to lose weight even if you go on serious diet and exercise due to thyroid issues, meds (like CA!) or after giving birth (because you can experience hormonal imbalance). What I meant was, she may never get her pre pregnancy body back, that's all!
Trying to drill this into my girlfriend's skull: "If you get fat, I'm out"
"But but, having children will make me fat, it's unavoidable!"

You're implying that there is some mystical force that will prevent women from losing weight at a point.
You know it's BS though. Women spout this nonsense to justify their laziness.
And sometimes because it's a way to punish their husband.
Yeah ok I get what you mean. I know that it could be insurmountably difficult to lose weight.
I just meant from a logical point of view if you're expending more energy than you consume you have to lose weight. I can say that to be true without knowing anything about the body, hormones etc. It's just scientific fact.
Without it being inevitable (let's not talk extremes) it can make it really really difficult to go back to your previous weight.
It's not mystical force, it is science.
It's well known that hormones are extremely effective at changing a person's weight regardless of calories.
But you agree with my statement that " if you're expending more energy than you consume you have to lose weight." ?
Because this is scientific fact. I'm no biologist, I'm engineer. After that I'm ignorant on the issue and I'm sure you're much more knowledgeable. I just want to make it clear that it's never "inevitable". It can't be. Unless somehow people can defy the most basic logic; that matter can't just appear out of no where.
Seriously not trying to trivialize weight problems, just can't stand by and let basic logic be ignored.

many of my friends had kids most of them in 30s so here is the deal
the first 6 months to a year they carry excess weight from hormones..the hormones make it hard to lose weight in first 6- to 1 year so they are kind of 'mushy' soft. and its very very hard (unless they get a mommy makeover aka surgery) to bounce back unless they have that very very very tiny body fat like Sara jessica Parker.
so the first year MOSt women are a little fucked and its normal...Breast feeding helps for some reason but breast feeding is not possible for all women (this is something a lot of women are shamed for and can probably have its own forum)
Then by the time the kid is 2 MOST women who were slender or just average before kid lose a lot of weight because the kid is more active and hormones are all gone and they also have more of a normal schedule to fit things in like fitness and eating right
SO to men--you got to give it like 1-2 years
What you CAN do is when wife is pregnant--go with her to DR as 'supportive' husband and in a 'loving' way make sure she focuses on good nutrition relative to how much weight she is gaining that is healthy for child....Dr will say if its too much weight gain.
others than that most of my friends gained like 20 pounds of excess weight which to be honest sounds like 'a lot' but its not its like 1 dress size. depending on the womans body shape its not even going to make a difference in mans opinion.
"Calories in calories out" is extremely dangerous advice to somebody with a metabolic disorder (thyroid, etc) as the body prioritizes fat above basic processes.
This is Michelle Duggar:
19 kids and counting.
What's your excuse?!
I would bang, totally my type.
I'll ask my girlfriend if we can have 19 kids.
Belgian State will pay for them anyway.
I mean surely it's impossible to get fat so long as you keep your calories out as much than your calories in?
Like physically it's impossible, I would have thought.
Just playfully touching her belly: "OK, it's fine like that, don't ever get fat."
Then she usually brings up @Pasbrillantebrunette 's BS excuses.
Beta cuck detected!
Seriously though, I totally see myself doing the same, betas understand each other.
Hormones can and do effect diet that why they say as women get near late 30s they cant eat the same because metabolism changes--and it does.
I gained a lot of weight in late 30s but then i learnt how to eat for my now slower metabolism and lost most of it--enough that i look good...
Also the exercise vs weight--muslces help rev up metabolism...Women are afraid to build muscle which is foolish because very few women get bulky...so even if a woman lifts what is considered heavy for a woman--shes going to look fit not bulky. Hot.
I think stopping weight lifting in my 30s also aided in my weight gain...i was a serious weight lifter (for a woman) from about 18-34...i had a car accident i had to stop for a few years...i hit 37/38 and just gained a good amount of weight by the time i hit 40...i was also in a bit of a depression because of something that happened (dont want to talk about here so emotional loss, stopping weight training/loss of muscle mass, and age related hormone changes i gained about 30 pounds in 3 years.
But i lost that 30 pounds in about 2 years...with very simple changes.
So yes i do believe calories in calories out is important for weight loss BUT so is 'what' you eat.
Basically the lean meats, good fats, good carbs (veggies/fruits) works really well.
I like personally Low to no refined carbs and grains..
I also believe in having less refined carbs as day goes on.
I have (refined) sugar in my coffee in morning but avoid it the rest of the day.
Dairy i dont have a lot of and that also helps.
basically a low glycemic diet and also Dash diet principles are great for almost anyone to lose weight when it comes to hormones.
Thanks for the advice, although I think I'm lucky in that I've never had problems losing weight...yet.
Maybe slightly off topic but I know a girl who has always had a savage bum, but no boobs. But after she got that contraceptive implant thing (the bar?) her bum got flabby and sh*t but her boobs are awesome
She's still skinny as well.
