That's me earlier this year, if you have a look on my page on "Tell Your Story" there a re a few pictures where I don't have my hair brushed forward. I guess I'm a NW2 with thinning in the NW3 area.

I've got numerous pictures from over the years, as attachments to my first post on that thread. http://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/showthread.php/62435-ChrisW1980uk-s-Story

definitely doesn't look like you have male pattern baldness going by those pics, you sure your not mistaking a big forehead for balding, those pictures don't show hair line recession, just a big forehead and foreheads come in various sizes.

unless newer pictures would proove otherwise.

i like long hair too, unfortunately mine have gotten to the point where it doesn't look very convincing anymore.

A real death sentence is having no social skills. No friends, no life etc. Then it is almost impossible to break that circle.

I've been on Propecia for 3 and a half years, which gave me some mild regrowth, and helped save my almost vanished temple points. I've been on minoxidil for about 3 months and am seeing some new hairs appear in the temple area. I have always had a large forehead and high hairline, and very fine straight hair which I guess is a bad combination to start with. My temples have thinning hair in them which seems to have been held by Propecia. There is a history of balding in my family, especially on my mother's side (which I seem to genetically take after). I will get a picture up which demonstrates what I mean, but I need to get someone else to take it for me while I hold my hair back.

Yeah i remember i had hair like what you have in your pic chris but i was a bit shorter just below the ears and it was when i went to the hairdressers and had it cut when i started to notice i was going bald (at 16 i am now 20)...started on the frontal area and the temple...it receded until it met with the thinning at the frontal area (it caused an island like look) and as time went on that hair started to get weaker an weaker so in a bright like it looks like i only got the crown era left which i think now its started to get thin...so yeah my hair pretty much ****ed lmao by i buzz it now so im cool with it it dont bother me like it use to is what it is.

It's past my shoulders now, just wish it was thicker.(cue abuse no doubt) I'd go shorter again but the comb forward minimises my forehead, and the thin temple points and temple part of my hairline.

Part of the issue is, it's hard to get a definitive answer as to whether you have male pattern baldness or not, until you are at a fairly advanced stage. If I could have had the Hair DX test, or miniturisation mapping done, I would. But in the UK, my doctor wouldn't refer me to a trichologist, and I knew more about hair loss and treatments, than the "Skin Specialist" GP at my surgery.

Don#t get me wrong, I know that my hairloss is minimal. It's because of my big forehead/high hairline combo, that even minimal recession becomes noticeable. And seemingly my temple points vanished very quickly. The shaved look suits you fella, and your hairline seems to be as low as mine at the front, going off your avatar picture :) and you don't have a child's jawline.

The angle of the photo is lying, you can't actually see the temples unless my head is down, this is how worse my state is, I'm also short 1.70 with a kid body, strange that you said I don't have a kid jawline cuz I heard many times from ppl (espiecelly girls) that I look like a kid

No you have a very masculine look mate. I'm short too, and skinny. I can see you have lost hair on the sides and have a slightly uneven hairline at the front, but it's as low as mine. Do you have a thread with some more pictures? You're a good looking guy with regular features and strong eyebrows. The shaved look honestly suits you.

Sorry dident sew it,

Anyway, well I wish I could believe you but I had 0 succses with girls, even before hairloss, and after it was really a dissaster, girls see me and immidiatly look away. Btw one of my eyebrows is ****ed cuz I tried to re-shaped it.

Besides my hairloss I have severe saboreha that causing my cheeks to be red very often, I went to like 10 dramatoligists about that (that was before hairloss) and they said there is no cure for that, stupid assholes.

Sometimes I wonder if il ever lose my virginity, seems like its not gonna happen soon.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that mate, how old are you by the way? Take pleasure in the fact you're nearly 4 inches taller than me :D and I'm sure if I showed your picture to my g/f she'd agree that you're a good looking guy. You're certainly more handsome than me, and more masculine to boot :)

Few inches dosent matter when you have good hair, if I dident had hairloss the height wouldent bother me, it's only because of that that I hate my height cuz being short and bald together is a nockout

Well I think we both know that that isn't necessarily true. If you came on a night out with me to a club, trust me, me having hair or not, more women would be interested in you. I don't want to sound patronising, but I've done the bar scene and had a fair few one night stands, you have to have a thick skin. For a large number of women, the difference between 5ft3 or 4 and 5ft 7 or 8 is massive! My gf is taller than me, but she isn't bothered as it's only an inch or so. Many women like a man to be taller than them, even when they're in heels. So for that sort of woman, in 2 or 3 inch heels, I'd have to go for a woman of 5 feet!

Why they should choose me and not other tall guys in the club that also has straight good hair unlike me? 1.70 is considerd short for a man, the avrerage is 1.75, girls still find 1.70 as short

Well you're moving the goalposts now. Going by your logic, if you had hair, then you'd not be at much of a disadvantage over 6 footer. I was saying if you and I went out you would receive far more attention than I would. I can't think how else I can put. How old are you? Do you try to meet women?

well it makes a clear difference to people

“Dating is night and day different. I always resorted to online dating when I was shorter, and sooo many women rejected me for being short. Now, I have so many hot girls emailing me I can't even respond to them all! The caliber of women I turn down now is often higher than the ones that turned me down before. It's insane. I've met and been dating a really gorgeous sweet girl who was one of the contestants on Americas Next Top Model. She told me flat out that she wouldn't have dated me when I was shorter, but it doesn't matter now because this is the new me.”

- a guy that went from 5 7 - 6 2.5

and there is plenty of other such things guys have said

HairPieceMan, I'd expect your superior attitude, based on your parent's "success" is far more of a turn off than you being short and bald...
