Anyway is this done yet? What else are we supposed to talk about on here for the next 2 years? I guess we still have like 5 years for CB.

What is the latest news? How long do we have to wait, some time in 2017 (probably means 2018 or never)? Why does he even need to do another "trial" if he said he has been testing it on patients of the past few years? I thought the key to using a precursor was to avoid this kind of wait, and that he already tested it himself. Is this more snakeoil? I don't have till /maybe/ 2017, Christ... what can I do? :(

Finasteride does not work for everybody. I am very disappointed with it over the last 2 years as i continue to lose at my temples. Im thinking of coming off it very soon.
What dose do you take?

This is actually moving really quickly. We heard about the product in February, and they are already right now conducting a trial on different kinds of patients to gauge effectiveness. The product is likely coming out in 2017. So, between us hearing about the product and the product being available for purchase will be a total lag of 12-18 months, which will include effectiveness trials from a reputable company. That's quite fast.

It is true that 1 year is a very fast time line so I am optimistic there just because I wont be too old by the time its actually finished unlike a lot of other things in the male pattern baldness pipeline. That being said Im still quite skeptical its going to work at all yet alone anywhere near propecia. Nothing has replaced propecia in what 25 years? I have my doubts that is going to change with this.
Revivogen has GLA (Gamma Linolenic acid) in it, and we know what results came from that. DGLA is not quite the same, and then it has equol. Is it strong enough to stop male pattern baldness? You need very powerful AAs to get results in male pattern baldness so I am bit skeptical as it has zero evidence right now

You can keep using propecia if you want, based on the discussions here this will be a completely different mechanism.

What is the mechanism with this then? Short of me reading all these pages to find it. It sounded like DGLA combined with equol in a liposome delivery method.

"The main ingredients seem to be Dihomo-γ-linolenic acid (DGLA) and equol in a cationic liposome carrier system.
DGLA is supposed to cause angiogenesis and it acts as a precursor of PGE1 while equol should bind to the DHT and stop it's action."

Propecia destroys 5AR throughout the human organism, preventing the channel T->DHT among others. This leads to extra T, extra E, and changes in the other hormones in the blood, skin, brain, et cetera.

This product includes equol, something half the Asian population in Asia is on naturally due to their diet. The topical equol will probably neutralize DHT in the skin, I'm not sure what fraction gets neutralized. I'm not sure if the equol goes systemic.

The carnitine and DGLA have been argued to be similar to minoxidil. I don't understand the reasoning there, but that's what's been posted.

Ah okay that is what I kind of thought. I hope they pack a lot of equol in there because its going to take high strong doses to lower androgens enough.

This 66 year old guy is laughing at age theory as we speak:

"Hey baldies, keep coping with treatments that don't work, you'll never have my hairline!"

So Borage Oil itself won't help with reducing DHT in scalp? I tried to take it as a supplement and also applied on scalp as an oil. But it did not help.

Yeah how does the judge pictured above gel with the theory that as you age everyone loses density and follicle shaft size? So aging, and the male pattern baldness theories of slow cell stress as you age apparently missed this guy or what? If one person exists like that I dont see how that theory can be right because it would effect every single person on the planet.
You need to post that picture in the threads discussing cell oxidative stress and aging with how everyone loses hair as they get older. Apparently not. I promise you though there are other examples like him of rare men with hair that good or better. Its very rare but they do exist it cant be aging.
