Gymcel is a dumb term that reveals the ignorance of its users. I've been to gyms, known some of the guys there, it's not the best place to find virgins.

I think you guys are confusing fitness with collecting star wars toys.

Still no word on why people put cell at the end of words?

It implies a cause if celibacy. Cope4life thinks that most men who go to gyms are not getting sex, and that it is partly because they keep fit that they're not getting laid.

Similarly with baldcel, a label he uses for involuntarily celibate men who are so because they are bald.

its a reference to incel.

If the guy is ugly, and goes to the gym... he's hereby an gym-cel

It's a form of cope, and reflection. in other words, i'm a little b**ch is what they are trying to say.

It started at Lookism/Sluthate with incel (involuntarily celibate) and is now just stuck on the end of basically every word used to describe why someone is celibate. Baldcel, oldcel, framecel etc. My favourite was SadVegeta's "philtrumcel"

I think I know where C4L, Fred and Dante are coming from with the gymcel thing. They see themselves as cultured, intelligent guys who find the idea of standing in a room lifting weights repellent, embarrassing. I get it. I recently went to scope out a new gym. I walked in to the free-weight room and it was full of stacked, red-faced, grunting, tank-top & stupid hair-cut wearing guys checking themselves out in the mirror as they curled. Cringe. I just instantly thought 'meatheads' and thought how C4L would LOL JUST LOL at the scene. This is what I imagine them thinking when they say gymcel, as if EVERY person who goes to the gym is like this. No, these are just douches. I know I'm being judgemental.

Haha this is so weird.

I go to the gym and get laid - just for the record.

There's one guy in the gym who has the perfect body, great face and a stunning girlfriend who pops into see him evert now and then - pretty sure he is no cell either :)

it's a complete cope

It bugs them so much they are skinny, and it is the burden of there insecurities. They have all tried, but failed, and revert back to the most simplest form of ego protection. Claiming it doesn't matter! What exactly doesn't matter? it makes me feel better about myself, and that's all that matters.

no drive. it's that simple. They always talk about there lack of muscles, and frame. Will commonly make excuses for themselves, but deep down they wish they were big, and shredded. In a way I can sympathize, but there comes a point where you either you accept the idea of being a push over noodle physique man, or you embrace the idea of getting huge.

Being fit takes dedication, open-minded, and intelligence.

My experience is that the majority of people in gyms are sophisticated and cultured. Much more so than the thin-skinned anti-social nerds who scoff at them.

Grunting is a natural response to anaerobic exertion, it says nothing about personality.

You know what I mean. Guys that make way too much noise, that like to be the centre of attention when they throw their barbell to the ground theatrically so everyone can marvel at their prowess.

Dropping your barbell means you're dangerous and that your membership should be suspended.

Same is true of guys who don't respect space. I once had a guy bump into my bar while I was squatting, and I was in the squat rack. He wasn't paying attention to where he was going. I felt like ramming the bar into the a**h**'s face.

I think having a nice physique should just be a basic thing for any man. Like clean teeth, clear skin, nice clothes. I don't mean massive. Just toned. It's not even up for debate that it will make you look and feel better. Why would you choose to be skinny or fat? Excuses about frame and skinny wrists is just a lazy cope. Sure you won't get the same results as someone genetically blessed but there's always going to be improvement. Crazy how much of a big deal some people make of it.

Damn son, I imagine your tolerance will build fast like that. I don't take it more than once a week. I don't have anxiety so I probably don't get the full effect, just bought it to see what it was like. Its good stuff with coffee at work - generally more productive, talkative, relaxed.

I know, it's a lifesaver for me in these situations. Sometimes I'm amazed at what I can say and do when it removes those excessive mental brakes which usually hold me back.

Hopefully I don't get addicted and 2 days off is enough to keep the effect without building tolerance.

Dante, you can build a great body with push ups, pulls ups, triceps dips, and abs work.

If you get into you can buy some free weights really cheap and that will really help you develop.

For me, working out gives me a great mental push and can often shake me out of a 'down day'.

As I said many times, I don't feel motivated to work out and exercise at all. Besides, in all honesty, I must admit that going to the gym would most probably make me feel embarassed, anxious, frustrated and jealous. Seeing good-looking people with awesome bodies staring at me with disgust and laughing at me would probably make me even more depressed. I get enough of that at work everyday.

You know how it is, "everyone at the gym is fit and skinny".

That's why I workout at home. Bodyweight exercises can take you far. Certainly far enough that when you decide to go to the gym you no longer look like a skinny nerd.

Let me see you do handstand pushups while still being a skinny nerd. It's impossible.

I get you on the motivation part though. When I realised that Propecia was failing me, I gained like 10 pounds. Was like "what's the f*****g point, I'm going to be bald anyway". There's little point to invest energy into a self-destructing balding body. The E2 keeps me alive and fit though.

@tellersquill You really need to stop posting messages with the same idea as I do at the exact same time. Are you some kind of psychic?

I must "thank" finasteride I guess: with chronic fatigue and tiredness and no stamina it's a miracle I can get through the day. I'm already exhausted at 8 pm after a day of work.

Please tell me you start at 12 and are not working 9-8 because that is why you are tired.

Maybe try something easy - 50 press ups and 50 sit ups a night and see how you feel after two weeks.
