@Dante92, most people in the gym won't be laughing nor praising at your newbie stats, because they don't care. They're focused on their own figure and their own requirements and ambitions, not those of others unless someone explicitly asks them.

I can always tell by someones fore arms alone if they have either lifted at all, or lifted for awhile.

Developing series, and networks of veins, and capillarys that have branched to new begging, Earned through experience, iron and heavy poundage. The increase, and demand for blood, and oxygen through years of pumps.. forcing me to grow, and transcend. To the point where my fore arms look like walking erections. They demand constant nutrient, and blood flow ...as they should. It comes with experience

When I see those life less fore arms, that struggle to achieve a life line of blood I know they haven't put in there time. Those bags of chettos, and playing xbox all day took its toll. No life, sedentary, and weak looking. Earn your stripes

Motherfuckers going to the gym, can't even do basic bodyweight movements. GTFO.

Your muscle dont know the difference between a dumbbell curl, and concentration curl. Whatever route of execution,as long as the muscle is getting properly worked it doesn't matter if you use a machine or free weight. If anything those who stick to machines, and hammer strength machines tend to get hurt less. As the movements are more fixed, leading to better form and less room to 'ego lift' and potentially hurt yourself.


I love free weight, but I can assure you it wont make a difference. Muscles don't know the difference.

Whatever route of execution,as long as the muscle is getting properly worked it doesn't matter if you use a machine or free weight. If anything those who stick to machines, and hammer strength machines tend to get hurt less. As the movements are more fixed, leading to better form and less room to 'ego lift' and potentially hurt yourself.


I love free weight, but I can assure you it wont make a difference. Muscles don't know the difference.

The machines are designed to isolate muscle groups. It makes them a good complement to exercise, but you inevitably use different bodyparts using free weights.

It's why when I do the chest press on a machine, I push ~30% more than when I do a barbell bench press, and in turn with the latter I push ~30% more than when doing a dumbbell bench press.

I don't see the problem here, you will never throw identical numbers on free weights:machine related equipment.

A 225LB chest press will never be the equivalent of a 225LB flat BB bench press.


All that matters is you stimulate the muscle, and push it to the point where you enter a progressive overload territory. this is when you effectively break down, and push the muscle hard to enough to grow. Through intensity, weight, and different tempos. Typically you always want always push equal or more then 60% of your 1 rep max. If 100 is your max, then your goal should be to push 60lb or over. Anything below, and I don't believe you are pushing the muscle hard enough, regardless of how many repetitions you do. Taxing the muscle is done by a combination of intensity, weight, rep and speed.

In general though, it's hard and convoluted to make a great program that doesn't include bench press, military press, barbell curl, squat, and deadlift.

I don't do any of those. I use dumbells for bench and overhead, and I never do any kind of curls, as back workouts hit my biceps as much as I care to. If I isolate my bis they get way out of proportion with my triceps. Can't do squat or deadlift due to a back injury

As far as machines go, they're fine to use, although I agree with David that it's best to not just use machines if possible. Free weights will work your stabilizing muscles and result in more functional strength. Sometimes machines can't be avoided though. Like in my case, for upper legs I stick to machines for the most part due to my inability to incorporate squats

EDIT:
I leave you all with a few tips from my personal experience about building ideal aesthetic physique that a lot of dudes neglect imo (this is from my own trial and error and observation...feel free to take it or leave it)

For chest: Do a lot of incline...I would say like 60-70% of your chest work should be incline. People vastly underestimate how much the upper chest is important for creating that powerful chest look. Also, don't waste your time with decline unless you want saggy tits. Flat bench work will work lower chest as much as you need

For arms: tris over bis all day. Triceps are what really make your arms look big

Bulk the abs: spend entire workouts on abs, and get some weight behind them. Don't do that sh*t dudes do where they just throw in a few ab exercises at the end of their workout

LEGS: Don't be one of those dudes who spends like 4 days a week on upper body and 1 day on legs. You WILL get embarrassingly out of proportion

Calves: don't be like 99% of the dudes I see trying to work calves who load a f*** ton of weight on the calf machine and proceed to just bounce it up and down. You will likely get zero results with this lol. Use an amount of weight with which you are able to get a FULL contraction, and HOLD the contraction for 2-3 seconds per rep. For years I was frustrated with my lack of calf growth until I figured this out, and my calves magically grew....don't underestimate how awesome ripped calves are. You will feel like a badass when you wear shorts

about work on calves...

puberty and genetic are the only way to work out on calves since calves = bones and you cannot improve on bones while gymcelling

wide shoulders (calves) + narrows waist = you can go to gym, it is not gymcelling it is changing yourself

both types of guys with wide shoulders + narrow waist are handsome but in other ways:

I didn't. Thanks to finasteride, I haven't masturbated in over a year. Having no libido is actually an advantage when you're ugly.

Is ur libido absolute zero or u still having desire when see an (attractive) girl?
