I think that to most normal people out there, NW3 and below does not consciously register as hair. Most people don't consciously give a sh*t what you or anybody else looks like.

However, it will induce a subconscious decline in aesthetic appearance to others. Their reptilian brain does notice the decline in attractiveness. Further, it does trigger our own BDD, as we feel the ticking clock and uncertainty of knowing we're going to be ugly soon.

This is spot on and is confirmed by my experience. I was around NW2 to 2.5 when I attended my brothers wedding last year. Multiple people who hadn't seen me from my dense NW1 days commented that my attraction has gone down substantially. They couldn't pin point the reason though as they still saw hair on my head.

its all about the face. he should send someone a pic of him he trusts (not me ) and have them gives us a facial rating. thats all that matters.

Sunchyme, that is just your opinion. It does not count enough to make a difference. I do think he has a great head shape and he looks like he has a nice jaw. Still not going to change what he wants. He wants more hair.

Goes to show how unaware people are when it comes to changes in individual component like weight, hair, etc. But 50 lbs is too drastic a change. I am surprised she didn't notice it.

Nope, many users say the buzzcut doesn't suit me in the slightes, can't imagine with a shaved head. 4-4.5/10 it really doesn't change anything, I am well below average and balding, and here is a death sentence. Crap, even 6/10 guys have it really, really hard.

i think from what i saw in pic that was best hairstyle for you.

I think if you were older man your hair loss is not bad--but it think for someone your age its horrible to experience.

this may be why its such a disconnect on forum to what you experience and feel vs how you look.

you are very young for hair thinning and recession..
