I have to oppose this idea. I have used 2% ketoconazole cream with Zix and achieved moderate regrowth in the 2 month mark. That being said, the regrowth went away after that.
So you regrew hair after two months but then lost it right away?

Why does it sound utopic that a proven hair loss treatment worked for me? It’s not useless if it doesn’t work for a handful of people.

Did anyone try a regular pyridoxine (B6) supplement? I can tell the premise behind it (active form working in a bettet fashion) but vitro studies doesn’t specify any type and there’s no way regular B6 will get converted into P5P in a petri dish. So I was wondering if regular B6 can be still beneficial.

people use any form of vitamin B.
P5P is a more absorbable form and most used, but it doesnt mean necessary something.
For example, zinc form for zix is zinc sulfate, but there are more absorbable forms available on the market, and they're not used.
So, its up to you

I have question regarding the the use of zinc in zix. Usually the formula has zinc sulfate which has 23% of zinc. Now if I am not able to buy zinc sulfate but zinc 'gluconate' which has 14.3% of zinc. Can I alter the dosage of tablets if I use zinc gluconate?

Have there been any studies into whether zix has systemic effects?

I had to quit most treatments due to my health issues and I can say that Zix+caffeine definitely had an impact on slowing down my loss.

How were you using caffeine? In a shampoo? Do you know what the concentration was?

Regarding the combined application of minoxidil and zix, how long should zix stay on your scalp before you wash it off? Is it OK to use minoxidil at night then, use zix as first thing in morning and rinse it off in 20-30 mins? Or maybe the other way around with zix at night and minoxidil in the morning for 20-30 mins?

Use minoxidil 12 or so hours apart from zix, use them only once daily.

Once daily of minoxidil is just fine, as it's half life is 22 hours and you'll see lots of success of just one application daily.

Also, try to wash your hair in the morning before applying zix.

Hello zix users. How does P5P smell? Odorless or funky?

Well Ive been deliberating for 2 maybe 3 years now (my minoxidil is long since expired), however I think I'll start minoxidil once daily starting tonight. Ive had relative decent success with it in the past (15 years ago), but that was alone or in conjunction with finasteride.

I felt it was of no use without an anti dht. Since zix (15 years), my loss has been insanely slow, but my temples are higher than I wish to tolerate. Im in my 40's and have my life in order. Point is, do I really need it? No. I guess that's why I've been holding off , not to mention the hassle of committing to adding an extra step in my day forevermore, the greasiness and this whole collagen side effect that some report.

I just wish I could improve the density and maybe regain half an inch on my hair line. Anyhow, hope this works out.

My only concern is that we wouldn’t be able to use Zix twice. I wish there was a way to use 1x minoxidil with 2x zix.
