We still need someone who can get prescriptions. Who will organise all this?

Theres very little organizing to do. Just find someone who can get a prescription and then we pitch in for the costs via paypal as we did with Desmond84 going to South Korea for the World Hair Congress. Thats it.

BTW, I was referring to helping w/ Python's personal expenses. On the separate "project" concerning Toca, once we have the green light and volunteer(s)is ready to implement initiative, I will do some number crunching on my own literal home front (after the milk man is paid )and do what I can to assist in this enterprise.

So I would think in order to get Tofa, we would need someone who is under Medical or some insurance company and then buy it from them. Otherwise we don't stand a chance raising anything close to the commercial price tofa is sold as, not even for one person.

Yes, thank you, is just that when someone is broke due to other medical bills, $50 for something has to be weight in. As well as the doctor check ups to make sure nothing terrible is going on with the immune system.

Finding someone who's got arthritis isn't going to be too difficult but would ultimately pose the greatest challenge (shouldnt be that hard though). Getting a group payment for it would be rather easy. Then it also requires getting someone whos COMPETENT in 1) making a topical solution out of the pills 2) documenting progress with photos

The stuff I believe comes in 60 pills for one month, each pill at 5mg. You could split the prescription and have two guys trial it at 5mg/1ml (so a 0.5% solution) once a day for a month, or just rely on ONE guy for two months at the same dosage once a day.

easier said than done. So far I havent seen anyone from any of the forums that have achieved this.

The only attempt I have seen is Python, good on u!

Hellouser, since u r pretty active both in BT and here, mayb u can post a thread to see what the response is and see if we can find an arthiritis patient who can prescribe this for us.

Before raising $2,000 and blowing it away on a months worth of pills of Tofacitinib, you guys (and me as well I suppose) need to first find out if the Xeljanz pills will actually fully dissolve in an Ethanol/PG vehicle. If it doesnt, the whole venture is moot.

Well that again is easier said than done. Where the hell are we gonna get the pill from to test it. The only thing that I can think of is going to arthritis forums and make a thread and hope to get lucky and find someone willing to do it. Maybe they can just mail the pill to someone?

Python, i think either one of us can start a thread on this discussion, instead of talking abt it here.

It isnt going to go any further between just u, I and Hell, we need more ppl and attention.

I've tried looking for arthritis forums and can't find a single one. The closest I've been able to find is general health forums...

Sulfasalazine is ridiculously cheap, there's no need to raise money for that. Tofa, however, is a much more promising potential treatment. You guys should raise funds for that.

Might Desmond (BTT) have any pull here? Is his background Pharmacology or am I confused with another poster. I'm hugely assuming he'ld even want to get involved in the first place.

Not yet, but we want to try out topically first. I think hellouser has the hookups and can get us the pills cheaper, but not entirely sure.

I am currently trying out Salfa topically but I am not sure how well it will work. Besides, I need to get more pills as they will run out.

P.S. Hate when threads like these get moved to other sections

There must be some one who has both arthritis and male pattern baldness, don't you think so?
If so, then the drug should have been tried by someone who suffered from arthritis and male pattern baldness.
It is reasonable, isn't it?????

thanks python,
but wait -
this thing treated AA right >
and - as far as i know - in AA or AT (whichever the dude who got cured had) the hair follicle is not getting suffrcated from DHT, going through miniaturizing and then die completely, instead it stays alive, but rather kinda in a coma.

so - question is -

most chances it will actually wont work for male pattern baldness, or is it ?
what do we know ?

I refuse to believe that in classic male pattern baldness follicles "die" yes they miniaturize even to a point they cant penetrate the scalp resulting in a shiny head, but they don't die, and theoretically at least, they can be revived.

we don't know about the chances, python (may he be blessed) is trying to find out.
but there is one guy who had male pattern baldness and used one of those drugs for real arthirits and grew his hairline as a side effect.
