I might have to stop my experimental treatment. Every single time I have applied the topical, the next 2 days I get stomach and liver pain!!! I already have liver problems to begin with and as much as I want my hair back, it's just not worth it. It's not like something small that I can overlook. I am talking about sharp pains that only go away after I have not applied the topical for a like 2 days. And even worse, I can feel like my liver is expanding during that time, I can feel it and it hurts when I touch the part just above the liver.

I have no clue what it can be, it might be the fillers that are in the pill? Or maybe it's just that when I dissolve it, since it's meant to be a time release in oral form, it may be too much at a time. In any case, I will try it one last time, if I see that I get the same reaction the next day as I have been after the application, then I am calling it quits. And no, I have not grown any hair back.

Sounds like the stuff is going systemic, which MAY be necessary to increase PGE2 levels. However, your symptoms sound normal:

https://www.rheumatology.org/Practice/Clinical/Patients/Medications/Sulfasalazine_(Azulfidine)/

Also, you've only been on the stuff for about 3 weeks... there's no way you'd see any growth that quickly... you have to keep in mind the hair growth cycle (anagen, catagen and telogen) which can last up to a few months before new hair appears.

Apparently the side effects you're experiencing are supposed to subside with time.

Well that may be so, I am reducing dosage in the mean time. If anyone is thinking about trying it, then I would advice to only mix in five pills with a minoxidil bottle.

I would not expect to see regrowth this early in the game either. Any noticeable changes with shedding ?

I only said that because I knew there was going to be a few noobies who would ask if I noticed any hair regrowth or reduction in shed.

Its hard to control the dosage, the way you doing it. I learned that when I was on cet. Dissolve the pill in 5mg of liquid(minoxidil) and then apply. its the best way to test any stuff.

How did you get sulfa?

That's what I did at first, I put 10 pills and then when I would be done with that, I would get another bottle and put 10 more pills. The problem is the damn pain, it's really bad, and even worse, it feels like it taxes the liver really bad. That is why I had to reduce the dosage, keep in mind that I am the first to try this, as far as I know and there was gonna be some bumps. I got sulfa from my doctor, but only 20 pills, you can read it one page 4-6 I think.

I would like someone else to try it so that I can compare, but I don't know why no one is stepping up.

Maybe we could get someone who can access these prescriptions to distribute the pills to volunteers. We could also set up a thread where ppl can donate towards this trial.

Good luck with that, when I was going to do this trial I had asked for donations because I had no money. All I was gonna buy was minoxidil and the pills, I was gonna pay for the doctors prescription and I got 0 people who responded with help. I am thinking now that maybe I should continue and not report back, let everyone stew for being dicks. I know there's people out there with money that aren't willing to try this sh!t, so when someone steps up you would expect to get at least some support. And I wasn't even talking about that much, it would only be like $50 total for everything.

to be fair, it might be because it wasnt an official thread? i know not everyone would look through every post, it could be easily missed. I know if this in-forum trial sets up officially with an official thread, I will definitely participate via donation. Perhaps u could get the prescription for us? I hope everything is going well for u!

Python keep reporting back as long as you are willing. You are a modern day hero the way you are braving unchartered territory in search of one more piece of the holy grail to hair loss. Your solo action illustrates the broadening line separating the doers from the doubters and dreamers. Continue documenting, keep your receipts, and I'll see if I can help motivate some sort of benefit( monetary compensation) petition or rally on your behalf. You are making living history and although this fact won't put lettuce in your hands right now, your future heroic legacy is solidified.

It's more the fault of a certain doctor than anything else. Maybe Dr. Angela Christiano aka the hair goddess will tackle Androgenetic Alopecia as well, she seems to have quite some knowledge on Androgenetic Alopecia as seen here:

Positional Good theory, my friend.

You have to giver her credit for taking on the hair loss solution on her own. She realized that next to nothing was being done to cure this fvcking disease and did it on her own. That's fvcking admirable.

Before raising the money for someone to try out tofacitinib, you guys need to make sure the tablets will actually dissolve in a vehicle (ethanol/pg). If it doesn't dissolve, forget about it working well, if at all. It needs to penetrate the skin.....

TRX2 is a joke.

We weren't talking about tofa, we were taking about salfa. It's hundreds of times cheaper, but we still need prescription.

Sulfasalazine is ridiculously cheap, there's no need to raise money for that. Tofa, however, is a much more promising potential treatment. You guys should raise funds for that.

We still need someone who can get prescriptions. Who will organise all this?
