Looking good - and more manly than me,
I look more manly with some beard, but i want my hair back:(
I didn't realize that you were a stud muffin.
Had to check the urban dictionary for ''stud muffin''.
Is it supposed to be flattering or demeaning?...I can't figure out.

Don't think you looked distinctly better with hair, for what my perception is worth.

I think that's another problem created by mass media and now much amplified by the Internet.

75+ years ago, most people didn't ever see that many beautiful people in their entire lives. They might know one or two really good looking guys or girls from work. But you'd probably easily go your entire life without seeing a guy like prime Henry Cavill or Brad Pitt, or seeing a girl like Candice Swanepoel or Natalie Portman.

I was reflecting on Ashton Kutcher and how honest he was in his duta interview when he said "Pretty much all the roles I've gotten were from how I looked" (paraphrasing). I don't think I've ever met a single guy IRL as good looking as Asthon Kutcher in my entire life. If I did, maybe I saw one across the room at a club and forgot about it one time.

Beauty is EXCEEDINGLY rare, but we are bombarded with it through TV and now even moreso through the Internet. The Internet amplifies things to an insane degree because now not only are we seeing the most beautiful people, but the most beautiful pictures from the most beautiful people. ie. If you go on a site like 4chan (not recommended), you could find a "fap" thread where guys are just posting not only the most beautiful girl they have a picture of, but an unrealistically flattering picture of that girl with camera angles/lighting/etc all coming together to create the best single image of her that she will likely have in her entire lifetime.

It's no wonder all our minds are rotten and we've all gone to sh*t and can't function within the constrains of "normal" dating.

There have been studies that have shown male high school teachers have a higher rate of divorce than they ought to based on the general statistics. It's generally assumed this is due to the "comparison effect" which is a vicious bugger that can mess you up in many areas of life if you're not careful. The simple idea is, you might be happy with your wife, but you're going to be less happy with her when you spend all day surrounded by 17 year old girls who are thinner and more physically perfect than her in likely almost every way.

The Internet has been like that for us all. Only much, much worse. Wait til VR p*rn becomes interactive.

Btw, your hair and beard are looking pretty good!
Yes, that's the point. The truth is "human sexual selection" is partially animalistic and primitive. Saulus posted this interesting theory http://octavia.zoology.washington.edu/handicap_old/sexual_selection.html . The better-looking you are the better your chances . Analogically, the brighter the plumage of a bird for example the better its chances. Now the fact is that two things contributed to making girls/ women so picky. The first one is that our society has made "providers" and "protectors" obsolete since women these days can make a living by themselves. The second one is what you said. Imagine female birds having the possibility of looking at the top 1% of male birds withe the longest tail and the brightest plumage everytime they want. They would think that average male birds are unworthy of mating. Now, obviously we shouldn't take this literally but that's the underlying principle basically.

It was a compliment, you're a good looking man.

Haha that's what women like.

The guys who show up on the cover of men's health are my perception of what women want (in curly sexual terms), but it's not achievable for me:

It does depend on the women.

I dated a lot of university graduates and they tended to prefer the ryan gosling type more.

I think a lot of women do like that huge muscle look as well though.

It's just that sometimes we use these terms in a flattering way,and other times to refer to
someone who's pretentious and strives to look good while he/she's not.
Anyway...
If you guys want to see some more Greek girls, check this one...BONER ALERT!!!

With you 30 something people who are struggling I'm just wondering...how long have you been trying to find a partner? Over 5 years? I'm wondering how many years of failure I should go through before I can give up and honestly tell myself that I tried as hard as I could to overcome baldness but could not.
