I’ve actually noticed vellous hair on my low temple area. Actually too low, to where it is somewhat close to my eyebrow. But above that, the widow’s peak area, which I want to fill in, is still slick bald.Any results yet?

I was one of those people, the problem in the past has been relying on in vitro studies or human studies that have no free version with little detail on how much IGF-1 was increased. With Sandalore, we have a well defined study with a very credible researcher.
Yeah it does. What depth are you using?Just micro needled for the first time. Looks like I've been 12 rounds with Mike Tyson. Please tell me the redness goes away and I'm not like this for days lol
0.5mm. Once a week enough you think?Yeah it does. What depth are you using?
There is different variations. I’m sure you’ve read the other thread. I’ve been doing it not consistently every 10-14 days since mid Dec. 1.5mm which definitely made my hairloss worse. The last few weeks I’ve been doing 0.5mm with Sandalore every few days and I think it’s improving. Going to start drinking/washing hair with black tea. Taking a low dose DHT blocker.0.5mm. Are you on minoxidil? Or is needling your only regimen? There is different variations. I’m sure you’ve read the other thread. No minoxidil, can’t use it due to sides, heart, anxiety, skin etc. Wish I could, I know it would work good on me.Needling and Sandalore. Are you on minoxidil? Or is needling your only regimen?
There is a lot written about this. So what do you think? There is different variations. I’m sure you’ve read the other thread. Just type in Sandalore or synthetic sandalwood into Amazon if you have an account there@Capone where u get sandalore?
Damn, needling and sandalore is what I am going try to. Concerning to hear that it has worsened your hair.No minoxidil, can’t use it due to sides, heart, anxiety, skin etc. Wish I could, I know it would work good on me.Needling and Sandalore.
Great post. Thanks!Been following this with interest some time now & decided to share my thoughts.
WORTHINESS
The documented progress so far does not seem quite as impressive as in the needling thread (see PS1 on bottom of this post), but it's still attractive cause:
- Cheap,
- Safe / widely used as fragrance and
- Lo-effort / not painful as drilling holes in your scalp
Decided therefore to try it as a complementary treatment w/o expectations (i.e. any benefits = bonus )
VEHICLE
A Plethora of creative proposals posted here Ruled out creams cause hard to use on longer hair. W/ conservative "complementary treatment" approach settled for the "standard" PG-Ethanol vehicle and researched MINOXIDIL mixing ratios (since not aware of Sandalore Vehicle studies).
WATER
The standard minoxidil v/v = 60% Ethanol / 20% PG / 20% Water, but always wondered what the purpose of water was?
Not aware of any Sandalore vehicle studies, therefore Researched for MINOXIDIL & according to the below PubMed study abstract https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7884676:
"Since...water in the formulation influenced permeation far less than the other two solvents, we examined...binary combinations of ethanol and propylene glycol."
Therefore scrapped water.
PENETRATION QTY
Researched ETH / PG ratios nicely analyzed in https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7562405, under "Results and Discussion" paragraph-1:
"...penetration of minoxidil peaked at the 90% ethanol solution for all application volumes by the 24 h..."
View attachment 113857
FLUX
On the following page "...penetration of minoxidil through the skin was faster with neat [100%] ethanol, but...this was true only for the first 3h, the slower flux from 90% ethanol solutions over a more extended period (3-8 h) eventually lead to more total minoxidil penetrating through the skin."
View attachment 113858
Therefore if penetration speed only within the first 3h is the priority (e.g. showering early after application), 100% Ethanol seems the best option - but keep in mind that "With neat ethanol as the solvent...complete drying of the vehicle very early into the application...the formation of crystals of minoxidil...was evident within the first half hour"
FORMULATION
VEHICLE
Chosen the 90% Ethanol / 10% PG cause:
- less PG (10%) than "standard" solution (20%) = less greasy hair and
- yields the most absorption, allowing:
less Sandalore for same effect = less smell and
less total lotion required = faster drying;
SANDALORE
Many Concentrations (%) & Dosings (mL per day) proposed in this thread, but being an experimental treatment decided to go conservative w/ 1mL@0.5%.
CHOSEN MIX
0.5% Sandalore
10% PG
90% Ethanol (89.5% @mathematicians )
DOSING
0.5 - 1 mL daily (less on needling days, more elsewhere);
PS1: NEEDLING FAQ
Seen plenty of needling questions lately, which are nicely documented in the excellent @Bill_Russo FAQ thread:

PS2: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Putting this at the end to hopefully avoid annoying some users - but do not feel comfortable wrapping it all up without expressing my gratitude to everybody trying Sandalore out and reporting their progress (notably @Jamesdunn) - THANK YOU!
Great post. Hopefully will have better results with needlingBeen following this with interest some time now & decided to share my thoughts.

While the documented progress so far might not seem nearly as impressive as in the needling thread (see PS1 on bottom of this post), it's still attractive cause:
- dirt Cheap,
- Safe / widely used as fragrance and
- Lo-effort / not painful as drilling holes in your scalp
In other words: there's (almost) nothing to lose, so decided to try it as a complementary treatment w/o many expectations (i.e. any benefits = bonus )

DISCLAIMER
Since not aware of Sandalore Vehicle studies, have researched MINOXIDIL ones, which obviously do NOT directly apply to Sandalore. That being said, properties such as vehicle evaporation influence etc. have a good chance of being consistent. Make your own informed decision.
