It's good to be rich.

I'm considering laser eye surgery, braces, and a hair transplant. The sum total of the three is maybe ~$15,000, plus I have to get a surgery that will cost $2,000+ for my hernia. I can afford any of the four, but the four of them together will be prohibitive.

I am actually not that "rich". all my money tied up in houses, but have been putting money aside. I have about 40k saved up. I had lasik surgery in my early twenties and it was probably the best thing I have ever done. A lot of good things on the horizon for you David!

I wanted to edit my post but the internet crashed.

I'm sorry I used that language, it's not appropriate. The definition of "rich" varies from person to person and context to context and is thus not a very useful term to use.

You're in a very high percentIle for net worth. Most people barely have 1 grand in there account, never mind those who live pay cheque to pay cheque.

Time for another Bosley procedure?

Maybe you just bought a cheaper one?

Not a viable solution? Can you stop with generalising already? Tell to @Noah , @grincher and @Fanjeera that it's not a viable solution.

I will definitely try it if I run out of options. If it doesn't work for me I'll write that it wasn't a viable solution FOR ME.

You will never wear one. What's stopping you?
Sure you will.
He won't. All though talking about it and watching videos seems like the best way to cope.

News flash; videos don't illustrate the day-to-day life style, maitenance and up keep that's required to fit the part.

Is it a sports hernia? I had one operated on 2 years ago

Minor paraumbilical hernia. It's a trivial surgery. But it means I can't lift weights nor run nor do yoga until I get it done, in a month or two, and it will set me back a few grand.

Mate, you just told me it's easy.

Moral of the story: being genetically blessed with a pusy means things can get so much easier even a hair system requires less care.

For whatever it's worth, if the government covers the braces and hernia surgery, and my mother covers half the hair transplant, the expected total cost is ~US$ 7,000.

In the real world, the expected total cost is ~US$20, 000.

I'll decide by the end of October.

Let me think about it for a second... Yes. f*****g yes.

Well I will say that for the most part, you're right. Women are infinitely more picky about a guy's appearance, basically because guys crave sex a hell of a lot more than women do. And women can go much longer without sex. So they can afford to be pickier. And especially in today's day and age where they can post photos on the internet and have access to men all over the world.

My friend gave an interesting analogy. An average guy walks into a bar and asks 100 women "wanna f*ck?". Maybe, just maybe, about 2 women will say yes, after this guy is cursed out, yelled at, and hit with about 50 different purses. The next day, an average-looking woman walks into a bar and says to 100 guys "wanna f*ck?" About the only people that will deny her are a priest and a homosexual.

Again, I could have paid for everything, but she just offered to pay half of it, so why not?

Moral fibre?

But I don't see how you could have had 10k at age 22, were you even working before your hair transplant or just out of college?

2900€ for PRK in Belgium.

Why not just travel where it's cheaper?

Oh if it's not in the US, the work will be subpar, right?

Lol at these prejudices. According to some people here, having a hair transplant in Belgium is like having one in India.

I just did it in my city.

Clinic was 10 minutes from my home.

Just checked their site it costs only 500$ for both eyes. I want hair transplant to be so cheap :(

Can't stop laugh at NW5 baldcel picking into computers for SAVING money for his hair transplant at 22 so comically and creepy JUST LOL

Moral fiber? Or "just make your life harder for the hell of it, real people do that!"

Or "needlessly make someone who gave birth to you's life harder at your advantage!"

If she could have afforded it easily she would have paid the measly 5k instead of stretching to half, and you had more than enough money to cover it as you keep claiming (and rather ironically thinking this actually makes you look good).

As for making 10 grand from a little side project while studying, shyeah mayne.

No.

I first went to one clinic two years ago (LASIK MD in Montreal), I didn't go for since they were using a quaint method which worried me, the total cost would have been CAN$ 3,500. I went to a second clinic a year later the Florida Vision Institute, which used a more advanced method, they turned me down because they don't like to operate on people with amblyopia, they would have charged US$ 4,500.

The cost varies depending on the method, the quality of the doctor, if you're doing both eyes, and your specific eye issues. I have both myopia and astigmatism, in both eyes, so that elevates the cost.

Alternatively you can do a simple google search.
Average cost of laser eye surgery is $2500 per eye, but ranges between $300 an eye and $4000 an eye. In order to cover both eyes, you have to multiple by two:
http://www.lasik.com/articles/you-can-afford-cost-of-lasik/

You have a lot of aggression by the way. I was not even speaking to you, yet randomly you are calling me a liar. If what I'm saying doesn't make sense to you, consider asking for a clarification and explaining why you're perplexed, rather going "lol liar dumbass gymcell me I'm so smart and I never had these problems". Good for you. But my experiences based on two different clinics are correct and are backed up by a simple internet search.
